  1. After reading the article and seeing the comments it is obvious this was started by a New England fan who likes to push his team at all cost. Why this is even discussed on a Colt forum is beyond me.

Have you never been to a message board lol

  2. Chip-Kelly-3_zps94ebd0a1.jpg

"Innovative ways for training and utilizing nutrition" ??

    For what....Sumo wrestling??

I know, I know....Kerwin is talking about the Eagles players, but Chip Kelly, like his predecessor Andy Reid, looks like a pitchman for Tastykake.

Atleast Andy Reid had the "tough fat guy coach" look (Abe Gibron, Bum Phillips). Chip Kelly is just fat (Rob Ryan, all those fat college coaches).
  3. I always thought these Rams were overrated and that it wasn't that big of an upset. They lucked out when they got the Packers and Eagles in the playoffs. Favre blew a game every year after 1999. In 2001 that was the game lol! And we all know how the Eagles got in tough playoffs games over the years with McNabb and TO.

I wish the Packers would have gotten a shot at the Rams in 1999 through the tiebreaker but the Cowboys screwed them...again lol! The 1999 Packers had it together by the end and the week 17 "points" game against the Cardinals is 1 of the best games I've ever seen.

  4. I clearly remember this happening when I was a child and it was some of the wildest football I'd ever seen at that point. Does anybody else remember this? It was during the later Marino and Shula years. The offense wasn't clicking and they just threw out the playbook for a drive it seemed. I actually don't remember if they scored but I clearly remember a fake punt conversion, 3 and presumably out then a 4th and 10 conversion.

  5. Chip Kelly is a glorified Steve Spurrier whose going to be a little more successful because of today's rules. The list is solid otherwise, including #1. I know the thing is setup so that the commissioner doesn't singlehandedly run things but so is our democracy...that the president still runs no matter how you spin it.

  6. Brady did have 1 thing - an all time great head coach. Now think Manning fans before you jump up and down screaming "nooooo" because in the end that just gives Brady another point in the debate. I personally think Manning's best coach was Jim Mora. Dungy is so dang overrated.

I never tire of the Brady/Manning debate. The debate is the biggest thing that keeps the intangibles and the unmeasurables alive in football. When Brady and Manning are gone, comparing quarterbacks will go no further than that statsheet because of the new rules.

  7. He's considered the best coach to never win a SB. I think that's fair enough. His offense is kinda overrated. It was Vince Lombardi, Joe Gibbs and Bill Walsh who were responsible for today's offenses more than anybody. Don's offenses were baller when everything was clicking but they got ugly in some games (coughPackerscough).

  8. Who is dancing? Your premise is faulty in that Watt is the best player on the team and much younger than AJ. I don't think many players are having an issue with a 33 year old receiver wanting out because of an org change. If it was Watt, different story.

You are. I referred to the best offensive player on the team and you since haven't quit about Watt and Fitz. Then when you finally figured out that that wasn't Watt or Fitz you staryed the "33 yr old WR" etc etc etc...who is the best offensive player on the team (not Watt for the 8th time).

  9. Comparing Peyton to Brett Favre is a cardinal sin. Unlike Favre, Peyton never had a flip-flop deal with retirement and didn't go out of his way for media attention like Favre. Not only that, but Peyton wouldn't be as awkward and rude (for lack of a better term) with Luck as Favre was with Rodgers. I know many Colts fans (including myself) that would have been very happy to see Peyton win the Super Bowl.

You're way off, yet not that far off...or something.

Comparing Colts fans to Packers fans is the cardinal sin. Colts fans realize they can't control the guy the traded 2 years after the trade. Packer fans blaming Favre for coming out of retirement the 29th time are the same people who are going to blame their wives for cheating on them 29 times. After the first time, if you buy the lie, it's your own dang fault. Peyton Manning himself even said in 2007 that he knew Favre wasn't retiring after getting so close that year.

  10. Him and Case Keenum balling on Indy for those 2 quarters last season was like a long lost 90s Brett Favre half of football. How did they blow that game? O yeah...their coach had a stroke.

I hope he ends up happy somewhere. He deserves it.

So this means the new coach and quarterback has already lost the team? 3-13 coming up.

  11. I like RGIII. If his knee is ok, he's far from done. I can't believe so many people got mad that he tried to gut it out in that playoff game. His little wedding blunder was kinda dumb...but nobody bats 1000.

  12. I'd love to see The Old Gunslinger hang on to his record but Manning could break it without his neck in today's game. Atleast he deserves it. He played before it became easy to throw touchdowns.

I'm already in favor of just burning the record books in a world where Nick Foles throws 7 touchdowns in a game. Manning's 7 touchdown game makes 2/5 of the amount of people who'd thrown 7 touchdowns in a game since the beginning of time! If Brees breaks the record the just...ugh.

  13. The old thread I bumped up the other day covers Rodgers. It's not just the Niners or the 4th quarter...it's any team with 8 or more wins any time, any place. He would be a glorified Joe Namath (what an oxymoron lol) without his 1 free playoff win since his Cinderella season. Brees won a playoff game against the winner of the mentally challenged division this season but it's his only playoff win since Bountygate. His "2 very good" seasons in SD were 2 out of 5, where he was either hurt or benched for Doug Flutie the rest of the time. I completely agree with them being below Peyton and Tom. I'd put them below some other less statlicious quarterbacks who win more games too but...small steps.

  14. If Marino played in today's NFL he more than likely would hold a lot more records.

People forget that be DID hold the records until Brett Favre. If Marino played in today's NFL, he would have the records AND the rings because Brett Favre would have been banned for helmet to helmet hits.

  15. Yeah cheating defense, like non one else before the Saints was ever doing bounties. Riiiiiiiight.

Better go grab your tin foil hat and check up on Info Wars, sounds like a conspiracy job to me!

Oh I forgot, we didn't beat the Colts and make Manning look bad in the Super Bowl it was our "cheating defense" and they also made Brees look great the entire year. I have to admit, I love reading about how bad the 2009 Saints were coming from people that only watched them in the playoffs.

    Cool story bro!

    O...this argument...

The most famous Bounty before the 2009 NFCCG was the 1989 Bounty Bowl when Buddy Ryan put up a whopping $200 to smack around a kicker. Bountygate was a huge scheme that involved a pile of money setup by alot of people to screw alot of other people over and, ultimately, cheat.

  16. Everybody saying "it wasn't Brees it was his awful defense" leave out how in 2009 it wasn't Brees it was his CHEATING defense.

As for stats, I don't know the TD/INT numbers off the top of my head but Favre is 1 of 6 or 7 of the 10 most intercepted quarterbacks who are HoFers so meh.

I never found out if this was true or not but I read that Brees had a hired guy on the sidelines that keeps track of his stats and informs him when a record is in reach.

  17. Brees is an overrated sissy who couldn't stay on the field before the passhappy era. He's Barry Bonds minus the roids alright, and replaced with the Bountygate. I already ignore stats to a point in a worlds where Marino's original yardage record gets broken every year by midgrade quarterbacks, where Matt Flynn has the most TDs in a Packers game, etc. Now Drew Brees the alltime TD leader smh.

  18. Guy was just joking. I live to fish...I go atleast once a week, usually a few times and I always jump in and swim afterwards to cool off and do alot of other little things that you can only do in the summer.

Thank goodness for football though...it's the only thing that gets me through the drudgery and boredom of the gloomy doomy winter.
