  1. That 4 game losing streak was the slump. It happened, and all it means is that it wasn't a slump. It doesn't mean that Tom Brady is the worst quarterback ever like homers think that any Brady ctitisism implies, just like giving Case another chance doesn't give him a shrine in Canton.

  2. You weren't paying attention then. Case Keenum had next to no ability to recognize defenses, and even the slightest disguise threw him for a loop. The blitz utterly destroyed him time and time again until they eventually had seen enough. The Texans biggest needs in the offseason were QB and DB, and really they only have Hopkins and an aging and malcontented Andre Johnson at WR. They addressed none of this in the offseason (likely due to cap issues), and now are basically hoping their dominant defensive front 7 and workhorse of a back in Arian Foster can carry them by themselves. Unfortunately, this isn't the 80's, and a single workhorse back and defensive front 7 with no backfield is not a recipe for consistent success.

If Mallett isn't the guy (because let's face it, Savage at 3rd on the depth chart likely will be lucky to be a career backup), then top priority in the offseason should be a complete offensive overhaul for Houston.

What was the Colt's disguise? A fake 3 TD deficit?

  3. And before the Rams game they Eagles were defeated by the 49ers, and the Packers were defeated by the Seahawks like they are every NFC West team.

If the Seahawks and 49ers truly are frauds, and the Cardinals are winning the Superbowl, then you're basically implying 18-1 because the 49ers and Seahawks make up about half of their remaining schedule which doesn't include the 3 teams you have confidence in.

  4. The 49ers and Seahawks, even this year, would make minced meat out of the Eagles, Saints and Packers. Besides the Cards still have to play the Seahawks twice and the 49ers again. As good as they are, do you really think they'll go 18-1???

  5. Never going to happen but how funny would it be for the Cardinals to beat the Steelers in the Superbowl.

As funny as it would be to have a 6-10 Saints vs an 11-5 Seahawks wildcard game from New Orleans...that the Saints lose lol!

  6. jvan is right about Brady. He even had sophomore slump.

Mike was a good coach (I said good...not Vince Lombardi) just like Jim is. What SF needs to do is get rid of whatever poo stirrer in that lockeroom who can't take coaching. It's got to be Vernon Davis or Frank Gore or somebody from that crowd.

Anyway I came here to say that if Case Keenum doesn't get 1 more legitimate shot, it will be as big of a travesty as Doug Flutie and Tommy Maddox.

  7. I would pick SF to win the division if I had to choose but wouldn't bet a million dollars on it.

The Falcons...the #$%! happened to them??? They have 1 more easy game, next week, against the Buccs. It's the best this league has from here on out for them. They might not win another game after Tampa Bay. I think New Orleans takes that division, which isn't a compliment directed at New Orleans.

  8. And I just had a heated discussion with Cam Newton's twin brother...unless it was actually him. It couldn't have been, but he looked exactly like him and he was a good actor then.

It's FAMU homecoming week and they're sponsoring everything here all week. Alot of bigshots are here (local bigshots atleast including football players like Peter Warrick and Kellen Winslow). I've met several football players here but no Cam Newtons. I guess I'll never really know.

  9. There is no contradiction in what Bill said years ago and what he said recently. Quarterbacks go up and down on the scale depending on how good or bad they are with every season, especially now that the passhappy era is on. Stats haven't even came close to maxing out in this era. 55 TDs? Somebody will have 60 soon. 7 TDs in a game? 2/5 of the number of people who'd done that since the beginning of time did that last season.

  10. Contradicts what he said 2 days ago.

"I mean, he's great, he's obviously a great quarterback," Belichick said Wednesday. "The best quarterback I've coached against. ... "Not to take anything away from the Montanas, Marinos and Elways or whoever is up there with those guys, but (Manning) is tough."

Saying between Brady and Manning. He can't say anything negative about his own QB while he is still coaching him.

OMG call his mama and tell

  11. It's interesting because by saying best he's ever coach against, implies that he thinks Peyton is better than Marino and Montana since BB coached against them. And yes, I doubt we would get BB to answer who's better between Brady and Peyton. Plus, I don't think BB would have it in him to hurt Tom's feelings by admitting Peyton was the best :P

Knew that was coming...Bill never coached against Marino, Favre, etc in their primes.
