  1. Yup lol that whole thread has just enough of a vibe for me to actually consider unlike most others
  2. Idk why but I really like Mallory. Glad he got a couple catches. Seems like the perfect in between from Granson and Woods/Ogletree.
  3. Call me delusional but I’m not letting Taylor leave without a 1st and a possible player. He’s a proven superstar in the league. McCaffery’s trade isn’t a great comp IMHO because he’s older and has had a longer injury history. Any team that trades for Taylor is nearly guaranteed a 1500 yard rusher as long as they have a competent o-line and he doesn’t get injured.
  4. I mean i just kind of a way to get some Don Henley on the forum. On a deeper sense their job vs what they do is genuinely wildly different regardless of what kind of news.
  5. I mean lets be real here a bottom 28 team going against the #2 team from last year along with a coach that has a bit of an axe to grind with us. We have to keep our expectations tampered this year.
  6. I wouldn’t say awful, he was consistent on pressure and pushing the guard/ center back into the pocket. He has trouble disengaging though. This was well known to be one of his issues. With time and coaching this guy can be incredibly disruptive.
  7. Reminds me of the Leno deal and then we signed fisher lol
  8. You would think as all of these dominos fall he will be back with the team soon without any deal. I don't disagree they are underpaid and Gurley really hurt the position for getting compensated through no fault of his own. I don't know the best way to fix the RB situation, I don't think bigger initial salaries or hitting free agency are the correct path. Maybe the possibility of the rookie deal having incentives based off of yardage and catches maybe?
  9. Just to add in the short term memory he and his agent have. Last year Kenny held out and was wanting a big pay day and got absolutely nothing out of it. Irsay and Ballard are NOT ones to play hard ball with. Don't bite the hand that feeds and they will be lucky if they don't cause an infection from that bite. I mean holy crap as an agent why would you be starting stuff with 1 of 32 owners who you have to negotiate with. Honestly I feel like I would have been a better agent then that bafoon.
  10. One of the funniest things to me is if he would have just kept his head down and played he would have ended up being the highest paid RB because that's what this organization does. Ballard has preached several times about paying their own. Such a bad play by them.
  11. IMHO if Taylor wants to save face he needs to fire his agent and talk how his agent gave him really bad advice and he was trying to take a stand for the position he plays. Basically throw him under the bus. If he sticks with the clown and holds out into the regular season he will go the route of Bell who has came out and talked about how much he's regret the way thing went down. I still can't say I have ever seen a player fall out of grace so quickly with a fan base that wasn't attached to a legal issue.
  12. Which is such a head scratching move for his agent and him to be requesting top money and a trade if he had such a bad injury...
  13. What a wild time to be asking for a big extension and then a trade…
  14. Who has been taking his place? We are pretty weak at FS
  15. I’ll echo what everyone else is saying, Taylor and his agent royally Blanked this up. Ballard and Irsay both have a tendency to overpay their own guys stemming from decades ago. If he would have kept his head down and had a decent year then he would have ended up being the highest paid RB to date. The timing absolutely couldn’t have been worst either. Like they saw what was going on with Jacob’s Elliot, Cook and Barkley so why did they think anything was going to be different? Especially with that much talent sitting there begging to be paid. He really was turning into an all time favorite to me. I wish someone could get into his head and fire his agent.
  16. Last day in the office before vacation, this thread is going to be the only thing that keeps me sane
  17. Its hammering rain here on the West side of the state. Anyone going be safe!
  18. I am not expecting much at all from Richardson, as a matter of fact I don't really want him playing initially. However I do wanna see some flashes when he does play. He was a total risk and gamble of a pick which hopefully pays off, however if he has a Ryan leaf or Jamarcus Russel type rookie year then we are better grabbing one of the up and coming QB's and trading off Richardson. Gotta think if Maye or William's were sitting there at 4 who would we have taken?
