  1. Im surprised Ballard didnt make any moves on Greedy Williams.
  2. I dont mind Lamar either but i think that very large contract Ballard may not be willing to pay.
  3. Yes this is my opinion of course. When i was growing up on the game i remember the GM doing all the shopping and the coach had little input. Thats changed now but i wonder to what degree? Yes Ballard did say he wont force a player on his staff so i guess thats most of the answer but i bet he had a strong opinion against it if it is so. Whether Steichen listened i dont know. Usually with picks this high and honestly many of his picks Ballard goes with somebody from his back yard. The Big 10 and other places like Kentucky that arent that far away. I will see if it pans out that way.
  4. Ballard said he goes off the tape more than anything else. I just have a problem believing knowing my knowledge of Chris Ballard and how conservative and well thought out he is. And knowing that he doesnt have a lot of time that he would make this pick this high. Levis seems like more of the type of project Ballard would take on. Hes way ahead of Richardson in the passing game. And he can run as well.
  5. You talk about Levis but when i look at Richardson i just. I keep trying to sell myself on Steichen having a good plan for his development but I honestly think he may be worse than Josh Allen was as a college passer. Especially the Georgia game where he was just air mailing throws and running around aimlessly. The NFL is like facing Georgia multiple time a month. He didnt really have a great grasp on what he was seeing out there. To me he was even struggling against USF throwing at least 2 picks in that game that were pretty simple reads. Hes got some tools but man this guy is pretty far behind in the passing game. I think Cam may also be a better design type runner than Richardson. You definitely dont want to throw this guy out there as a starter day 1. I saw Pacman Jones on Pat Mcafee show and he pretty much agreed about Richardson nor being ready to start.
  6. Me i would have kept Campbell as the versatle slot bc of the cheap contract and gotten a true #1 speed receiver to play on the outside. I think Pierce is a solid #2. Problem is what to do with Pittman. Dulin would be #4 and whoever else #5
  7. Id like to have something like Philly has with Smith and Brown on the outside.
  8. Not to me. I think weve only got 1 guy who can really take something to the house. Everybody else can be doubled or plastered one on one for the most part.
  9. Probably not popular and im sure i will catch flak but Im honestly somewhat open to dealing Pittman. I think we need some speed and run after catch ability. I like Pittman but to me hes more of a possesion receiver who is looking to be paid #1 money.
  10. Wouldnt mind Jerry Jeudy at the right terms and price.
  11. We got a team full of guys who cant run. Need some speed somewhere besides Pierce. Dont see how Pascal helps that.
  12. Most rookies sit behind somebody. Heck in my day it was accustomed for them to hold the clip board. Richardson needs to do some sitting anyway. Stroud and Young id start right away though. We can start Minshew but even in that case you can make different wildcat type packages for Richardson. Doesnt have to be totally on the bench.
  13. I think Ballards thinking is correct. He probably will get his guy without having to move up. Very true if Richardson is in the equation. Will likely turn out even better if the Panthers take Richardson #1. That means our pick will likely be Stroud.
  14. Rogers can play both spots but his size profile fits nickel better. And again if you look at the size of corner most teams usually play in Cover 3 they are usually long and lanky. Think Jalen Ramsey, Richard Sherman. Im expecting us to grab boundry corners who are 6ft 1 or better before the season starts.
  15. Rogers is a nickel. Only reason he played outside is bc Kenny Moore was the nickel starter and Faycson sucked. Rogers forced himself onto the field. Once we show Kenny the door i expect Rogers to take that spot. Gus likes size on the boundry. Thats why he was slow to pull Faycson in my opinion. He really wanted Faycson out there but Rogers proved to be better than him.
  16. You will see Kenny Moore being shown the door soon.
  17. If we drafted him I could deal with Richardson sitting behind a competent back up like Minshew for a while.
  18. Gee hes a nickel back. Will start there. Gus likes big corners on the boundry
