  1. I guarantee you all Grigs is getting a HARD look too.    If he screws up another TOP pick.     Luck was a given, but his next 2 out of 3?   TR, and Werner?  Mew is a keeper....      BUT  Indy has been down this road before letting a QB CARRY us.    I think Irsay wants to see improvement.    And against the REALLY good teams this team has REGRESSED.

I don't blame Jim on bit for taking a "wait and see approach" ..   This team has the QB, that is HALF the battle now they need a coach and GM who can maximize the QB's talents, and help on D.

  2. I keep trying to tell you all EVERYONE is on watch this season.       Pags, Grigs..      Thus the "ALL IN" FA mode they went to.

Just cant keep getting your * kicked by the good teams and missing on top picks.

It's a business.       Heck with out AL nobody on this staff and FO would still be working today .

  3. YES...  this...    I keep hearing, "he didn't stand up for himself"   ...     I wonder why?  the entire Miami locker room was a bunch of alpha male *s.      Totally out of control.     Indy's locker room,  IMO could bring out the best in a guy that just needs some positive support.      not constant belittling.

First round ability...    for nearly pennies...  Bring him in.        No Richie's on this roster.     Martin would get positive reinforcement instead of a lot of bullying.      JMO

    Why not can't hurt.

It would cost the team next to nothing to bring him and give him a look.

If he pans out -- great -- an unexpected find.

He he doesn't work out -- no problem -- he gets cut.

JM will not be a problem for the locker-room.    He wasn't at Stanford, and he wasn't with the 49ers.

It was only a problem with Miami, and that was a locker-room that was found to be out of control.

The Colts don't have that problem,  we have one of the best locker-rooms in the NFL.

All we have to focus on is......   can he play?     If he can, great, and if he can't,  he gets cut.

    I don't see a problem.

Icognito is a complete jerk but even so Martin should not have been bullied if he just stood up for himself

We need players that can stand up for themselves not ones that can intimidated

  4. A "worn out welcome" ...      ?

That is very subjective.           Jimbo is demanding.      and he has an EGO.    as does EVERY single suite in the AD.

EVERY ONE WANTS A PIECE OF THE PIE WHEN THINGS ARE GOOD.

Some embrace it.....    And some are jealous of .....       all that comes with it.

He left Stanford LOADED......     Had SF NOT suffered the injuries they did this last season I really wonder if JH would have been on the market?  but the genius GM got what he wanted.

Regardless....   I believe J Harbaugh knows one thing for sure....   No welcomes will get "worn" out in AA.       This is where he will be loved.     Look out for Michigan THIS SEASON.    \

The NFL was scared to death of losing JH and guess what  .......    it happened.     Mort, Scheff, Clayton, ...  blah blah, blah, they don't know %.

And when the NCAA football playoff goes to 8.....    this product is going to be on par with the NFL playoffs.

the NEW TEN YEAR war     Harbaugh MICH vs Meyer  OSU   ...

    No...  it's not wrong.

Harbaugh wore out his welcome at Stanford.     Yes, the school offered him a new contract,  but everyone thought he'd only last one more year to be with Andrew Luck and then he'd move on.     But,  he absolutely had worn out his welcome there.

And he had worn out his welcome at USD,  where he was before Stanford.

He's a very, very tightly wired guy.    And he wears on people over time.    Over coaches, players and support staff.

  5. Chuck is obviously a "good" coach.      What separates the average from the GREAT?  A QB is first on the list.

THEN...     it boils down to how good a manager of talent and EGO's are you?   Chuck is obviously a "vet guy" he is NOT willing to rock the boat and just play younger talent.      This IMO is a HUGE flaw in Chuck's persona.    The TRich, and Wayne clown show the second half of the season was embarrassing.   Neither belonged on the field and yet Chuck kept on keeping on.   ???

Long story short..  I am doubtful Chuck has the STONES to be a BIG TIME NFL coach.    Simply can't be a players best pal and BOSS at the same time.      JMO ... we shall see...   I think Chuck feels he owes some guys on the team for what went down when he was sick.       And that is a hard thing to deal with but...     he has too.

OH and attacking NE the same way 3 straight times after what we have witnessed....      is ....     simply ...     sigh....

    Oh well..

What is the judging stick for Pagano? He just made the AFCCG. Does he have to win the SB to keep his job? That seems extreme.

  6. Cards, Rams, Bengals, and even SD..   Dominated the Colts in 13, and the BIG wins...  only SF was a total whipping.   Sea and Denver where down to the wire.

Bottom line this team under Pagano is feast or famine.         Especially against really good competition.    And I have stated my issues with the coach to death on this board.

Well.   this is his chance to put it all together.         He has the QB, and the GM has given him a roster that on paper looks like a SB favorite?  Or at least in the mix.     Lets see how it unfolds.   .

I think Pagano was hired to coach the entire football team, not just the defense. And the defense isn't as good as anyone would like, but it doesn't stink. That's a gross over-exaggeration.

And I think people like to focus on the bad games to the exclusion of the good games. In 2013, we beat SF, Seattle, Denver, KC twice (had the best record in the conference at the time), etc. This year, we shut out the Bengals, beat the Ravens, beat the Broncos in Denver... Yeah, there's been some bad games, but there's been some good games, too, against top competition.

  7. This is the troubling thing...    2013 Indy beat Denver, Seattle, and CLOBBERED a totally healthy SF team.    BUT yet got blown out by Arizona and StL. ?     2014 Indy drills every team they should....      the GOOD ones tho....     DRILLED Indy?   What gives?

This is a really big year for the entire organization.     Thus the route the took in FA...    SOLID VETS.   And I love all moves bye the way  Esp Herremans and AJ...     if they can stay in the game this is HUGE.

I forget...after the rebuild, how many years was it before we "start" to challenge for the AFC South title ?

  8. I tend to think along these lines...    Chuck has been WAY too stubborn when it comes to depth chart and playing time.

Also..    the accountability level on this team last season was non existent.     No consequences for bone head play or actions.

These things are troubling..     BUT....     Wayne has been cut.   So lets see how his ship is run this up coming year.    And it is a huge one for him.     Irsay brought up NE's DOMINANCE on the ground in a statement...    Down to the stats...       Jimmy is watching.

Ian is pretty good solid info. Doubt this is something to be taken lightly. Him & Adam S. are usually on top of things

Personally, I wouldn't mind a more hard nose coach. Like a Rex Ryan kinda guy or Belicheck kinda guy

Pagano is just too nice imo

  9. The Colts will not draft 2 CB's in their first 3 picks.      That is their strongest position, next to QB.       Davis, Toler, and Butler are FINE.   Even IF they can potentially play S.      The pass rush is the priority.    I don't care how good Indy's secondary is...  if they cannot consistently put heat on the QB then it's all for not.  And a 32 year old Trent Cole is not the answer.

First pick I expect will be BPA....   and I expect every other pick to go on the D side.    and perhaps a RB.

  10. The most important TE on this roster RIGHT NOW is Allen..  because he blocks.

Fleener is really close to being VERY GOOD.. but he cannot continue to drop the bunnies he does.    He just can't.   IF he want's the big bucks.

And Allen's issue is health...      and he had the droppsies late last season???

Both these guys are good, potentially..     REALLY GOOD...   but it's going on year 4..   time to make it happen.

Put it all together and look out..    But they are just guys currently playing with a STUD WR and a STUD QB..     Which one wants to be the STUD TE?

Fleener was an 800yd TE last year. That's pretty consistent if you ask me. Where's this list? I'd like to see it.

  11. I guarantee you this is how the league thinks...       They don't wont the game to move...  they want it to slow down.

But they won't tell us that....      $$$$  will be the end of the NFL.    I never thought it could EVER happen 10 years ago...  but...   I may be wrong.

    So now we can have:

    Touchdown...Commercial...2 Point Conversion...Commercial...Extra Special Point...Commercial...Kick Off...Commercial

    (Shoot me)

  12. I totally agree...   Clowney coming off of MAJOR knee surgery...     Hoyer, or Mallett at QB..

Really?  Seriously?    I promise you all JAX will be the team to watch.

I really like Indy's O, but they have GOT TO HIT IN THIS DRAFT AT A FEW POSITIONS on D.     They just have to...

And I would sign Hardy in a heartbeat.    Like Rick V says...  "you aint bringing him in here to date your daughter" ...

It's the NFL    not church league.

You guys should know by now that you play in the sorriest division where the Colts get to sweep their opponents every year.

Houston is a joke. Bill O'Brien couldn't manage to get his best player on offense to stay. i don't care who they bring in. They still won't win 10 games and you all know this, it's just hot air.

Hoyer is much better than people are giving him credit for. Houston is not that far behind. They realistically could be a 9 or 10 win team or better. They need players to stay healthy.

  13. Did YOU notice the contract Vince got from the Panicin Texans?    4-5 m per?   for a 34 year old 340lb NT?

    I'll stick with Josh.

Adding wilfork and shorts. Kind of mad we didnt approach wilfork. Who seriously considers the texans at any point in their career honestly?

Im pretty sure wilfork and texas bbq has a lot to do with the signing...

  14. to move 20 to 2 is dang near impossible. unless TENN just takes what they can get.

IDK?   If it happens it says a lot about what most teams think of MM.

eagles-35.png  Eagles | Sam Bradford to be traded?    Mon Mar 16, 03:15 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is still the subject of trade speculation as coaches attending the West Virginia University Pro Day posited that Bradford could be traded to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for the second overall pick in the NFL Draft this year.

Footballguys view: Now why would the Eagles want to move up in the draft? It's no mystery, they're after Marcus Mariota (Oregon). Even though Chip Kelly said there was no interest in moving up for his former college quarterback, we don't believe him for a second. Kelly needs to find a quarterback who can run his system, and Mariota is that guy.

  15. One huge help was a subtraction....   TR being gone.

It's all about health...         I wish for just one dang year this team could roll without staying in the top half of games missed to injury for starters.

How are we on the o-line now?

Are we good to go or do we need more help?

I think it depends on Cherilus injury situation.
