Goff and Keenum looked awful last year under Jeff Fisher. What a difference coaching makes! Both of them have played much better this year.
-
That's too bad. I was looking forward to the Chiefs beating the Pats.

Here's my prediction
Norwell signs with the Vikings
What makes you say that?
I hope your prediction is right. Our RG Joe Berger is expected to retire after this postseason and we will need a competent replacement. Vikes can move Easton or Sirles to RG and Norwell to LG.
I would like the Vikes to draft at least two OL this year.

I am out of LIKES but tried to laugh. I guess you think Chuckie sucks
Not that he sucks but he is overrated. I mean, $100 million??? I prefer more modest coaches like Coach Zimmer, Dan Quinn, and Andy Reid.

I am happy for Gruden, I like Chuckie. I am not sure how well he will succeed. Raiders are a mess but they do have Carr so we will see.
I have never been a fan of his. I agree with Stitches. I just don't get what people see in him. All he is is this rah rah guy who craves attention and talks too much.

Lions: Maurice Hurst, DT, Michigan
Next: TBD following first round of playoffs.

I just finished watching "A Football Life: Bruce Arians". Arians is such a likeable guy. He is so funny. He has done a lot to help aspiring coaches. Just an awesome guy. I would have loved him to coach my team.
Happy Trails, BA. Hope to see you again on TV.

I guess knocking Baltimore out of the playoffs was good enough for Cincy.
Maybe. The Bengals also knocked Detroit out of the playoffs the week before last.
After they played the Vikings in Week 15, I was sure Lewis was gone. The final score was only 34-7 but the Bengals were never in the game. The Vikings sat their starters in the 4th Quarter. Coach Zimmer was not going to embarrass his good friend. Zimmer and Lewis are very close.

This announcement surprises me. I thought Lewis said he was leaving. Before they played the Vikings three weeks ago, there was a report that he was resigning. I wonder what changed to bring him back?
I am in favor of continuity but 15 years seems to be more than enough time (to win).

I don’t think that will happen. Without Watson they just don’t have the fire power on offense to put up points on Alabama’s defense. Dynamic qbs give Savanna fits but this kid looks like a statue back there.
You may be right. I am okay with Georgia beating Bama. I just don't want Alabama to win another championship. I won't be able to watch too much more -- no later than halftime. This game started too late.
I don't like this style of play by Clemson.

Jags- Excellent defense with duo corners and great d line and a tank at running back but they have trash at qb
If the Jags are listed, so should the Vikings. Like the Jags, the Vikes have a top defense (#1 scoring defense and has by far the best opponents' third down conversion rate). Dalvin Cook is probably on the same level as Fournette. He was playing great before he got hurt. Both teams can improve their QB play but I prefer the Vikings QB situation. Vikings went 13-3 with their 3rd QB (Bradford, Bridgewater, then Keenum) and backup RBs.
Hate to be a homer but I think the Vikes belong among the those young teams you listed.

There are a lot of nice defenders on that Clemson front. Maybe with our second rd pick..
I like this writer. Here are some players he says to watch out for. Smith was one on the list. Scroll down to the bottom for players in the Clemson-Alabama game.

Roquan Smith looked pretty good today. Made a lot of big stops and looked good in coverage too.
Great minds... lol. I just wrote that earlier. He looked good.

Hate to see championships come down to fgs.
Me too. I don't like the college overtime system. Many like it. I prefer the NFL's OT rules.
At least Georgia won by scoring a TD.

Georgia has a chance. Oklahoma's FG try is blocked. Mayfield looks stunned.
Georgia LB Roquan Smith is making a lot of plays. Looks great.
Update: Georgia wins!

This Rose Bowl game is great.
I agree. It has been entertaining.
I hope Clemson beats Alabama in the next game.

He kinda dug his own grave by firing his OC and then watching the offense sputter all season.
That's true. But I don't believe that is why the Raiders fired Del Rio. I believe it has to do with the move to Las Vegas. Firing Del Rio is a business decision, not a football one. Gruden is well known and attracts casual fans.

Here's one more:
Thats too bad. He had 3 out of 4 winning seasons, 36-28 record. Coaches without strong personalities seem to get fired more easily.
Jack Del Rio also should not have gotten fired despite the poor record this year. Change is not always better.

Lets hope 2018 will be a better year for our Colts
Happy New Year of course to non Colts fans like @NFLfan as well.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2018 to you and your loved ones. Thanks for all you do to make this place welcoming to me and others.

Yeah and the ref tried to say that Snell shoved him, and you can clearly see there was no shove. He just wanted to get up by himself and gets tossed for it. Unreal.
Did you see what Mark Richt did? He grabs the official's arm after getting upset about something. The rules call for a 15-yard penalty and an ejection. But Richt did not get tossed. I wonder if he will be on the sidelines after halftime. The commentators are pretty upset that Snell got ejected and Richt did not.

Obviously, I did not say the Vikings would not have made the playoffs. Obviously I did not say they are bad. Not even close. I'll try again.
Minnesota-Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers going against the Vikings' defense is a 'big game'
Minnesota-Green Bay with Brett Hundley going against the Vikings defense is a reason to watch NCIS reruns on the USA Network......because its a mismatch , even with the Vikings' No, 3 QB playing, because of the prowess of the Minnesota defense.
I still contend that is a compliment to Minnesota....not an insult....even though the NCIS reruns are pretty good
Okay, thank you for clarifying that.

You may be taking what I'm saying as a criticism of the Vikings and its not intended that way.
Sometimes a team wins so much and benefits by circumstance (Aaron Rodgers injury, continued Bears ineptitude) that they don't have a really 'big' regular season game.
Lol. Okay. Even if they lost both games to the Packers, the Vikings will have won 10-11 games and still would have made the playoffs. They will win 12-13 games. Not bad.

Darnold needs to stay another year IMO.
He played very poorly last night. If he does decide to leave for the NFL, I wonder how much this game affects his stock. This was on national TV for all to see. It was a bad showing.
I did not see Josh Rosen or Rosh Allen in the Bowl games. I also missed Mason Rudolph (Okla St) -- I heard he is NFL material. I am looking forward to seeing Mayfield and Jackson.

This USC--Ohio State game is boring. So many turnovers. I don't like the style of offense that Ohio St plays.
Did Notre Dame play yet?

Lol. I don't care where he goes as long as I won't have to hear him on TV anymore.
