  1. Like I said back and forth movement is almost guaranteed. I'd like to acquire some more picks before if we do move up at all. Who do we have to trade? Can't trade Ballard, he'll be the lead back, but he'd also probably give us the most value.

At the same time, we may get some top prospects that land to us and maybe teams will give us extra picks to trade down and snatch a guy they didn't expect to fall. Allen Robinson for example. If he falls to us in the 2nd, I could see a team like Jacksonville giving us one of their 5th's to get him. And then what if Carlos Hyde and Tre Mason aren't off the board?

  2. The more I look at McGill, the more I like him.  Actually just did a mock draft and was able to get him in the early third.  Doubt he'll last that long, but you never know.  I think there's a chance he's there when the Colts get their first pick.  Same goes for Jean-Baptist as well, I jsut think I like McGill a little bit better (he measures out a bit better too).  Purifoy would be good for us if we had a pair of solid CBs, but we don't.  We need someone who's going to be able to contribute sooner rather than later.

Exactly. These other corners need polishing. I feel as if a guy like McGill is a day one starter. Not only does he have the natural skills for the position, but of course his size gives him a leg up. I'm sure he'll have his rookie moments, but it won't be as much "trial by fire" with him as if you had a guy like Verrett starting.

I had mentioned Mauro a few times months ago. I agree with you, his height and athleticism would be great. He would need to add some weight to be our DE but he could be a good late round pick.

Yeah I like him too. I actually like him and DeAndre Coleman as DE's in our system. It would be a perfect combo too. Mauro is probably the better pass rusher but he plays the run well too. Coleman is phenonmenal in the run game and can push the pocket if you put him on the inside. Which is another bonus; they're both flexible.

  3. I'm actually sold on Bullough. He's a very smart player. Definetly a guy who can be a signal caller on defense in few years. And he's what everyone works. He can play the run, rush the passer, and yes he can actually drop in coverage. But most importantly he diagnoses plays very well. I wouldn't at all be opposed to him being our 3rd round pick. Watch his tape:

  4. He has a tendency to get burned, even on routes where there was no stellar break.  The raw talent is there, but he's a project, that's for sure.

Yup. That's a theme I'm noticing with a lot of the CB's. This is a deep class for them but a lot of them are projects. They've got tons of speed and athleticism, but they're all projects. The bigger corners are making a name for themselves. I'd take Jean-Baptiste and McGill over the Florida pair. What you lack in speed you make up with recovery ability and having a long stride. He's not as big, but I'd even take E.J. Gaines over Purifoy.

  5. I'm sorry, but I just don't agree with a lot of things in this mock. First off, why is everyone ready to throw off Toler so easily? He's got injury problems, but plays just about as well as anybody when he's healthy. 2nd, the FA projections are just way too much. We might be able to afford this firepower today, but not in a few years when we need to resign our key young guns. Surely I'd love to draft Attauchu, Reynolds, and SJB, but I don't see any one of those players being available in their respective rounds.

Yeah but Toler is average. It's not a tremendous upgrade over Cassius Vaughn. Average doesn't win in this league. We need another good or great corner to pair with Vontae. And SJB would be available in the second. Reynolds as well, although I'd rather have Ward or Bucannon.

  6. Seems right about Manziel. He's only just tasted star life style. Wait till he gets drafted and has even more models throwing themselves at him than before. And wait until he gets his first check for like $3 million or something. Yeah you should be young and have fun, but like Bieber, it's going to completely change him. Cam may be immature but he hasn't let the spotlight completely suck him in and change him.

  7. I don't think either is worth a 2nd

I don't think any of the ILB's are worth a second. Watch, when the 3rd round comes, there's going to be a Linebacker sweepstakes. That's why it makes more sense to trade down from the 2nd into the early-middle 3rd. People just really want a coverage linebacker but I'd rather have and impact player at another position. Get a ILB in the 5th. Maybe 6th if we don't trade that pick away.

  8. The only RB that I really would care to pick up is... De'Anthony Thomas, actually. He's a guy that we wouldn't have to waste a high round pick on (we have too many needs on defense to do that) and with his speed he would be the perfect change of pace back to compliment the power running Richardson/Ballard combo we have now. He is a really good kick returner option also.

I kind of am hoping that unless someone really good falls to us at pick 59, that we swing our 2nd rounder and 7th rounder for Jacksonville's 3rd round pick and 2 5th rounders. They might make that deal because they have 3 5th round picks as it stands, but if we had 3 5th round picks we could scoop up high potential under the radar guys like DAT, Marqueston Huff, and Matt Hazel.

DAT will be there in the 5th.But we would need to get an extra 5th, or get someone's 4th so we can get all the player we need/want. If we haven't gotten a Safety, corner, DE, and DT by then, then I doubt we take him. RB is like a reward pick for us basically. If we get everything we need, then we can get a depth RB.

  9. 1. Tre Mason

    2. Andre Williams

    3.Tyler Gaffney

    4. Antonio Andrews- Western Kentucky

    5. Bishop Sankey-Washington

    6. De'Anthony Thomas-Oregon

I'm surprised at niether Carlos Hyde nor Kadeem Carey making his list. But would you like to see one of these guys taken late to replace Brown? DAT and Gaffney have been mentioned here before.

  10. Anton, it`s referring to the Think that some Homers care not to consider Faults related to our players & GM & coaching decisions and just point at the record. Come on man.

Castonzo is a good LT. Why? Because he is a Colt. And we went 11-5.

Yet he is clearly a Poor pass blocking LT and always will be as he lacks quickness. He is to pass blocking what Bethea is to pass defending as a FS.

A 5 or 6 on a 10 scale. Some guys got it, some guys never will. JMO of course.

Castonzo is a fine LT. Look at his work in the playoffs. He handled Hali all day long, and he shut down Chandler Jones so much in NE, that they moved Jones to the other side.
