  1. It was really between 2 prospects for me. Ultimately the signing of OBJ made this pick change. With the 22nd pick in the 2023 NFL draft, the Baltimore Ravens select Deonte Banks, CB from Maryland.
  2. What unassigned teams are left? Ravens and Browns? isn’t there a user on here who’s a Ravens fan? Maybe he would be interested. if not maybe we just do the consensus vote on the pick like years past.
  3. That’s sad to hear. He’s only 30 years old. Football really is a brutal sport.
  4. Still no corners signed yet. Byron Jones, Marcus Peters, William Jackson, and Shaquill Griffin are some of the top names still available.
  5. When you miss, no one remembers if you bounce back quickly. The Eagles traded up for Wentz and passed over Justin Jefferson for Jaelen Reagor. No one talks about thought because they fixed both mistakes within 2-3 years. I’ve always loved the Eagles FO because of that. The fact they ended up with Hurts and Brown trumps the mistakes. The issue with Ballard is that doesn’t happen because he drafts the same type of players that failed before and doesn’t really make big signings and trades for better players.
  6. On Twitter, Moton floated the idea of the Colts trading Ryan Kelly to the Jets who legitimately have no center currently.
  7. After we get our CB, every other pick needs to be a CB or WR. And the Colts need to draft a route running WR finally. No more big jump bal guys. I want Addison, JSN, or Mingo in that order in the draft. I’m not worried about the loss of Campbell’s speed because we have Pierce. I’m more worried about drafting another Pittman type.
  8. Agree. I don’t like the idea of having to rely on rookie corners to start outside. Not every rookie is going to give you Gardner or Woolen type production. Typically corner is a position that had a decent adjustment period. I don’t see it. Not only is he probably more of a Tampa-2 corner, but I would guess that part of what into the decision to trade him for Yannick, was knowing that he was in the last year of his deal and would probably be looking for a pay day, although he wouldn’t be worth the money. I don’t think that has changed. He played good on the Raiders but I still don’t think he’s worth overpaying for.
  9. Yes he is. Shocked he hasn’t been picked up yet. He was the FA I wanted most. Loved him coming out of college as well. Risner is a solid consolation prize if we miss out though. I’m
  10. Dalton Risner is available at OG. Likely better than anything we have at RG currently in house.
  11. I’m usually on board with the RB argument but Taylor is a special player, and he’s way more valuable than Pittman is. Pittman’s talent is replaceable. Taylor isn’t easily replaceable.
  12. I was going to post this. It probably means Campbell wants too much. While this signing is cool, WR is a sneaky need for this team. Pittman is in the last year of his deal. And with Taylor also due for a new contract, I’m not sure the Colts can afford to sign Pittman long term.
  13. They’re second generation African American players. Parents were from Africa. And it’s not about skin color. It’s just a funny little coincidence that all of the DEs that he drafts seem to have that in common. Sort of like the thing back in the day with the Patriots and small white receivers. So the joke is that if there’s a second generation African DE who tests really well, you can bet he’ll probably draft them.
  14. Yes. Ballard has a prototype at DE that he usually drafts. High RAS, raw edge rushers who are of African descent (Banogu, Turray, Paye, Odeyingbo). I’m saying Ebukum is the type of DE that we usually see him take in the draft. Maybe I worded it poorly the first time.
  15. The Ebukum signing is funny because he signed the DE that he usually draft lol. Instead of drafting a 2nd generation African DE with athleticism, he signed one.
  16. There we go. Finally Ballard making moves. I don’t even care if they all work out either, at least he’s trying.
  17. Pencil this in as one of the starting corners for next year lol.
  18. I doubt Moore will be around much longer, and Rogers doesn’t seem to get playing time in Bradley’s defense so I wouldn’t call him a lock either. I also think he’s a tad bit small to play outside full time. He should get a shot a nickel though.
  19. Damn who’s playing corner next season? I have to think they get a veteran and don’t try and play two rookies at outside corner.
