    I'll answer this. Release Matt Ryan and sign Jacobi Myers and Issac Seumalo. There's two starters on offense to help your young franchise QB.

    It's actually crazy. We may draft a QB at 4 and he may be the worst QB in the NFL next year. That's due to a combination of having to start him before he's ready, and a mediocre team around him because of a lack of activity in FA and now apparently, re-signing our own FAs.

    We have a better chance of getting the no1 overall pick next year than winning the division IMO.

    Unfortunately, I think the Colts will be bad as long as Ballard is the GM.

    Promise FAs that you are going to draft a franchise QB at 4 (if that is indeed the plan). Yes, it could leak, but be honest that you drafting a QB of some sort (don't give hints on which one or reveal it). That'll get you some FAs that will sign and help this team out. Those Eagle FAs would have been a start as they have familiarity with Steichen.

    Hard to find the upside with this team right now unfortunately. The FA bit is getting old and it's frustrating over the years. We're all frustrated, and if we aren't, then we are naive lol.

    They just re-signed Alex Singleton. 3 years $18 million. 4 million the first year and 7 million in years 2 and 3. He turned down Philly for 3 years $22 million to stay in Denver.

    Okereke is a FA I don't mind not re-signing. That's too much money for us and we have Leonard, Speed, and Franklin.

    Ben Powers for the Broncos. He negotiated his contract with "guaranteed money" so the Broncos only had to pay him $2 million in the first year of his deal. The Broncos started with $37 million in cap room, and they still have $26 million after signing Powers, McGlinchey, Manhertz and Stidham.

    He has one year according to Sean Payton. We'll see how he does.

    I'm 35 now lol. I was so relieved as well when the Braves won the WS. We traded our farm to acquire players, lost Acuna for the year, and traded for 4 outfielders. Great story. I was having fun the whole 2nd half of the season and the playoffs and WS was a blast. Agreed.

    Yep. Not only are we not signing Eagles FAs, now we are not even signing our own players back. Thought Gus liked him?

    Ballard has to assume that the QB at 4 will hit. He needs to build a team around him in FA and the draft. The QB will be cheap, put him in a position to succeed by BOTH FA and the draft. Not just the draft. If we repeat the same mistakes, then we will fail again. Ballard can't consistently draft good enough to not dabble in FA.

    Yep. You got a moment though. I got it twice in baseball with the Braves. Once in 1995 and again in 2021 lol. That's how far apart they can be. Luckily I got one with the Colts and another with the Avalanche. The Peyton Manning SB on the Broncos was special as well.

    Yep, it's not even fun anymore. Best case scenario, Ballard has a top 10 draft every year, it still won't be enough to win a SB unless we are aggressive in FA and finally get a franchise QB. For how good Ballard is in the draft, he hasn't been anywhere close to top 10 on a consistent basis as we've only had our 1st round pick 3 times out of 6 of his drafts.

    That's why I was so happy when the Braves and Avalanche won their championships recently. You never know how often you get to the finals, and you have to take advantage of it. Luckily, two of my teams did just that and I was on the right side of history.

    It's a poor class of FA WR's this year. The only two I want are Parris Campbell and Jacobi Myers. They can play the slot and do well for us IMO.

    That's not a good sign. Now the Eagles FA players are starting to get signed by other teams. This is when you know things are bad.
