  1. I have a few, I mostly have cards(I don't know if this counts or not).

    Peyton Manning (8x10)

Andrew Luck (8X10 and rookie certified autographed card)

    T.Y. Hilton(Certified Rookie Autographed Cards)

    Laron Landry(8x10)

    Robert Mathis(1 Certified Autographed Card)

Donte Moncrief (a couple certified rookie autographed cards)

Dwayne Allen (Certified Rookie Autographed Cards)

Coby Fleener (Certified Rookie Autographed Cards)

Reggie Wayne (8x10 and a couple certified autographed cards)

Austin Collie (2 Certified Autographed Cards)

    Vick Ballard(Certified Rookie Autographed Card)

    Anthony Castonzo(Certified Autographed card)

    Vonate Davis(Certified Autohgraded Card)

They count, I don't count them personally as part of my stuff because of the lack of value, but they still count.

  2. I just believe, at this point at the very least, that something went on in their meeting that caused Goodell not to trust Winston. If he does indeed do something at the draft, being the very first pick, it will cause the whole draft to go down in flames. It would be awkward for the next three hours as Winston in all likelyhood would be the first pick. It could also potentially cause ratings to go down depending on what he said or did. Something caused Goodell not to trust Winston, and that's what we are trying to figure out.

  3. Since when do draft picks talk at the draft?

There are several ways it could happen. 1.) He gets booed and screams the F word at the crowd or gives them the finger, or 2.) When he gets interviewed by Deion Sanders or whoever is doing it this year and gets asked how it feels to be the no1 pick and what should we expect from you going forward, he could say anything as well (the unpredictability factor). Like I said, I'm speculating, but there's got to be some grain of truth here or Goodell wouldn't be thinking of doing something like this.

  4. 1: DJ Humphries, OT/OG, Florida, 307 lbs, 6'5, 33 5/8 arms.

DJ Humphries is one of my favorite prospects in this draft. Humphries can play OT or OG, and our OL is still a question mark, Cherilus will most likely be gone next year, and Herremans is only here for a 1 year deal, coming off a season with injury troubles. Humphries is a physical monster, at 6'5 307 who wins in the run game by being physical and flexibility in his knees. Very lengthy at 33 5/8 arms helps him against edge rushers. Humphries would fit right in and help bolster our OL for the future and protect Andrew, and open holes for Frank Gore, Boom Herron or whoever it may be.

    2: Carl Davis DE, Iowa, 320 lbs, 6'5, 34 5/8" arms.

Davis would fill a huge need for us at DE. We let go of RJF, and let Cory Redding walk. We need another DE badly. Davis is extremely powerful and puts it to good use in his play. He has very good use of his hands. Can split double teams with somewhat ease. Smart football player with a high football IQ. Good use of a spin move and power moves. He's a very good run defender, by disrupting the play. With that being said, he needs to work on his pass rushing, but definitely has it in him to be able to be a starting DE from day 1.

3: Anthony Harris, SS, Virginia, 183 lbs, 6'1, 32" arms.

Harris was a 3 year starter with Virginia, and had the production to go along with it. Harris had a good time in the 40, at 4.56 but is a small player that needs to add weight to be a true SS but has the instincts already. Good in man to man coverage with TE's and RB's but likes to play in the box. Quickly diagnoses run plays, and takes good angles. We have a big need at S, as we released Laron Laundry, and let Sergio Brown walk. We did bring back Adams, him at Harris could be a lethal S duo who could help bolster our D.

    4: Grady Jarrett, NT, Clemson, 304 lbs, 6'1, 32 3/8 arms.

Jarrett is a undersized NT, who was a 3 year starter for Clemson. He's very powerful and has a strong push. He is very athletic (5.14 40, 30' vert, 9'5 broad, 23 bench at pro day.) He gets good penetration and can push a pile. He is a sideline to sideline to sideline player how is very disruptive against the run, but is a boom or bust while pass rushing (If he doesn't get off to a good start rarely will finish well, but does have a good get off).

    5: B.J Finney, C, Kansas St, 318 lbs, 6'4, 32" arms.

Finney could come in and compete at C. Last year we saw a good number of mid round Centers play well (Lindsley, Bodine, Stork). We lost AJ Shipley in FA, but Khaled Holmes played well in the playoffs, showing promise. We also have Johnathan Harrison, but Finney could come in and compete, and if either player is not playing well he could come in. Finney has good leverage, good use of hands and strong push. He is very solid in pass protection, but some are worried about his change of direction because of stiffness.

    6: Justin Coleman, CB, Tennessee, 185 lbs, 5'11, 31 1/4 arms.

Coleman had a hell of a combine. He ran a 4.53 40 which was the only down to his day, but apart from that he had a combine position best 20 bench, 6.61 3 cone, 3.98 20 yard shuffle, 11.21 60 yard shuffle. He fits our scheme very well as a good man to man CB. The question with Coleman is his speed to run with receivers and his hips.

    6: Thomas Rawls, RB, Central Michigan, 215 lbs, 5'9, 9 1/2" hands.

Rawls is an extremely talented RB that is available at this point because of off the field issues. Rawls is very powerful with some speed (Pro day: 4.41 40, 7.12 3 cone). He makes strong good cuts, but sometimes cuts too early and doesn't use his physicality.

7: Markus Rush, OLB, Michigan St, 251 lbs, 6'3, 24 bench, 34' vert.

Rush is a very talented player, (2014 stats: 37 tackles, 10.5 TFL, 7.5 sacks). Rush caught tons of scouts eyes with an 'eyepoping' pro day. The concerns with Rush are a combination of size and speed (6'3, 4.68 40). He could be a good rotation pass rusher.

    Luck/Hasselbeck

    Gore/Herron/Rawls/Ballard

    Hilton/Johnson/Moncrief/Carter/Whalen/Cribbs

    Fleener/Allen/Doyle

    Costanzo/Rietz/Cox

    Mewhort/Thomas/Heenan

    Holmes/Finney/Harrison

    Herremans/Humphries/Louis

    Cherilus/Humphries/John

    Jones/Hughes/Okine/Cannoway

    Jarrett/Chapman/Kerr

    Langford/Davis/Quarles

    Mathis/Newsome/Rush/Johnson

    Jackson/Freeman/Irving/Muamba/Losieau

    Cole/Walden/Werner/Adongo

    Davis/Toler/Butler/Coleman/Brown/Price

    Adams/Anderson/Guy

    Harris/McDonald

    McAfee/Vaniterri/Overton

    Pagano/Hamilton/Manusky/Grigson

Hope you enjoyed! Leave your thoughts below!

Most informative draft I've seen in a long time! Love the explanation on each player in your own words and it's a solid draft as well. I'm going to guess we draft a WR somewhere with this class of WR's rivaling last year's class in quality and depth. If we got your vision, I'd be very happy though!

  5. That basically means he plays his position as a DE better than the 5 Elite QBs play their position as a QB. That's the unfortunate thing for Watt is that a player of his position (DE) can only have so much impact. You are also picking his 2nd worst season in 2013. In 2013 he only had 10.5 sacks and the team wasn't as good. He did carry the in 2012 and 2014 with 20.5 sacks and a bunch of other ridiculous game-changing stats both years. In 2014 especially he probably was responsible for at least 4 victories. The problem is that a single DE doesn't win games today and they don't get the distinction of winning the MVP Award. I think you know that no other defensive player had an impact that Watt did. He is just undervalued compared to the elite QBs because he can't win games on his own. He's a special player, but a top 5 qb will have more impact because of position. That doesn't mean they are better players than Watt, as he has clearly separated himself from the pack. He just can't win games as a DE.

You are no casual fan Jskinnz, so you know how good Watt is. He won't carry the Texans past the Colts luckily and we can definitely agree on that, but to have the impact he does for a DE and the separation in Talent from every other defensive player and player in general can't be denied. He proves it with the inhuman efforts every week he puts out, and has earned major respect, rival team or not.

  6. I don't recall saying that isn't a ridiculous player - clearly he is.  I also don't recall saying anything close to he is a better DE than any DE in the league or that he is a better DE than a QB is a QB - Whatever TH that means.

But the simple statement that he is the best player and there is no argument is silly.  Shouldn't the best player in the game be able to elevate his team to something more than 2 wins in 2013?

That basically means he plays his position as a DE better than the 5 Elite QBs play their position as a QB. That's the unfortunate thing for Watt is that a player of his position (DE) can only have so much impact. You are also picking his 2nd worst season in 2013. 7. You think Winston THREATENED Goodell with something?

    I think you're horribly over-thinking this.

How about the very real possibility that Goodell asked Winston not to show up because of the likelihood that Winston might get booed!?!     Goodell doesn't want the first pick in the draft to be greeted by a chorus of boos,  because THAT would be the biggest story of the draft.

That's a possibility as well, but I've seen people get booed. Andrew Luck got booed because so many people wanted to see RGIII get drafted at the time that they booed Luck. It's not the same thing obviously, but my point is that they can pretend booing never happened at the draft. If Winston says something derogatory at the draft, it will be live, and a direct reflection on the NFL and Roger Goodell. I don't know as I said, but this is something that wouldn't go away, booing can be ignored by the fans.

  8. I'm going to guess if this has any merit to it, that Goodell doesn't want Winston to show up because Winston threatened to do or not to do something on draft day that would embarrass Goodell and the NFL. He probably would refuse to shake the Commish's hand or he would say something incredibly stupid. Winston probably already told the commish what he had planned and they got into a disagreement during their private meeting.

I'm just speculating at this point, but it's probably somewhat close to the truth if it's indeed the case that Goodell doesn't want him to show up. With his immaturity issues, I wouldn't put it past Winston.

  9. Saying that Watt is the best player in the NFL and that there is no argument about it is not true at all.  There is plenty to debate about the statement particularly given the fact that he does not play QB in a QB driven league.

Make your argument then. He is a better DE than any QB is a QB in the NFL. As I said, the lack of being a game changer unlike someone like an Andrew Luck is the reason the Colts are a better team and the reason Watt didn't win MVP. Watt is an absolutely ridiculous defensive player and his PFF stats comparatively speaking to everyone else along with his statistics will point that out. A qb can win games almost on his own, a DE can't, even one as good as J.J. Watt. No defensive player is in the same planet as Watt playing in the NFL. The top 5 QBs are pretty bunched together and they all have flaws. Watt has no flaws.

Your argument is a moot point that because he doesn't play qb in a qb driven league that he isn't the best player. It purely means he won't have the biggest impact in winning games because he's not a qb. He's by far the best and most dominant player at any position, and it really isn't close. I don't have a paid subscription to PFF, but check it out if you can and you'll see my point quite easily.

  10. Ok, here's my opinion. The Texans have the best player in the NFL in J.J. Watt. There's no arguing that he is, the problem for the Texans is that he can only be so much of a game changer at DE. A QB like Andrew Luck who is Elite will have a far greater effect on helping the Colts than Watt will of helping the Texans. An interesting thing also is that no pick really stood out in last year's draft for the Texans. They can hope with Clowney, but it was a terrible draft so far where they should of improved a bunch having the 1st overall pick and gaining ground on the Colts. The Colts got 3 new starters with 5 picks though. Hoyer is terrible IMO and can't throw tds to save his life. He's a game manager at best, and that's not going to help the Texans enough IMO. The Jaguars are also improving enough where they could give the Texans a fight. There are no guarantees they sweep them anymore or finish ahead of them. This draft will determine a lot and the Texans better get some impact players in this year's draft as the Colts have full ammunition as well. We all know what Grigson did with 5 picks and no first rounder, imagine what he can do this year!

  11. Goldman? Really think he reaches 29?

Like Armstead, I think he's a coin flip to reach our pick. There are lots of guys that are even from 20-35 IMO. I think some will reach us and some won't. We can't depend on Goldman, but I wouldn't be shocked either way. There are a bunch of DT's that could reach us, Goldman, Carl Davis, Jordan Phillips, Malcolm Brown. Shelton and Leonard Williams won't reach us, but any of the others are possible. I'd put money down that one of the 4 will reach us for sure. The questions are, is it that DT that Grigson wants and is he the best player available?

  12. Next years first sounds good today, but........ What if we had an injury to luck and ended up with the number one pick next year........

And a JJ Watt type WAS actually there

I am all for trading 2nds and up...... But.... I believe many if not most people who traded the first wish they wouldn't have done it later

I think of the trades we did where we gave up our first........ Jeff George .... Fredd Young (2 firsts)...... The Tackle ( cant remember)....... Eric Dickerson trade

All of these trades were bad

Giving away a future first is risky

That's a risk that's always out there. The Redskins got burned when they traded 3 1sts and a 2nd and one of their firsts was the 6th pick overall and another was the 2nd, they could of got a solid team. Now they are struggling with a bad qb and nothing to show for it. I believe Dante Fowler is the best player in the draft and it's not close. He also fills a major position of need. We won't get him, I'm sure of it, but that would be the Julio Jones type of risk I would be willing to do. Of course if we had the 1st overall pick next year and lost it, that would be a nightmare.

I haven't checked if there are any Watt type players yet for next year's draft, and there is a whole year of college ball before we have to worry about that. If we couldn't get Dante, I think the better thing to do is to trade down and get a mid 2nd and 3rd so we have two 2nds and two 3rds. Grigson could probably hit on three of those picks if his track record in those rounds stays true.

  13. The market for the best fullback in the draft this year is likely a 5th or a 6th rounder.

For all other fullbacks it is likely a 7th rounder of free agent.

We do NOT need a fullback.

Doyle is our fullback and he's very good at it.

Allen is the back-up and he's also very good at it.

We do not need a fullback.    We're just not getting enough bang for our roster spot with a true fullback.

Completely agree here. Jalston Fowler and Tyler Varga would be decent options in the 5th round, but we don't need them at all and there are much better options in the 5th like Jake Ryan and Taiwan Jones that we could use on defense which is much more important. If we want a Fullback, sign one as a UDFA and see if he has any use. Maybe he could be used as a rb as well as a fullback. We don't need a fullback and I don't expect us to draft or trade for one.

  14. Would you trade up for any of them? What would you give up? See, this is the fun!

I would be willing to trade next year's first and this year's first for Danny Shelton and I would go so far as trading this year's first and 2nd and next year's first for Dante Fowler. I see a guy who could possibly be close to what J.J. Watt is in Fowler. He in most likelyhood won't be as good, but even 80% of Watt and his skills would be a massive improvement for us.

  15. Yeh, it truly is the offseason. I'm not saying I want this to happen, but it is fun to speculate. I do think Leonard Williams is the best player in this draft. I even think he could be the best prospect of the past 3 years.

Would we be able to get the pick from JAX or TEN? Is it possible he drops down as far as 4? Are there any other prospects who are worth it? Like I said, it's fun to speculate. No ridicule here, just throw s*** against the wall until something sticks!

Honestly, I'd rather have Shelton over Williams. I'd also prefer Dante Fowler over Williams as well. Williams will be a solid, yet unspectacular player IMO, while the other two will be stars. I don't see a special player in Leonard Williams.

  16. I would bet money the Broncos take a Tackle with their first pick in the draft. They may take a Guard later on as well. There are a lot of people that are surprised on how quiet the Broncos have been in Free Agency. With this being Manning's last year on the Broncos (and maybe the last year of his career), I figured Elway would go balls to the walls and give it one last chance before rebuilding completely with Osweiller.

Of course if they don't do this, It's better for the Colts and it's better for your Pats AmFootball.

  17. ....  the one used in the New England game vs. Baltimore and the Patriots game vs. the Colts (I

    believe?)

The receiver checks in and is ruled ineligible but lines up outside the tackle box in a traditional spot used by eligible receivers.

It is completely deceptive and is incredibly hard to defend because it forces defensive player to react counter-intuitively from what they normally do.    All it takes is for the defender to be thrown off a split second for the play to work.

If the "ineligible receiver" turns at the snap and puts up his hands as if to receive the pass the defenders natural instinct is to defend the player.

Fortunately,  a rule outlawing this play has been proposed by the powerful competition committee.   I am hopeful it will pass 31-1.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/18/competition-committee-proposes-rule-change-regarding-ineligible-receivers/

NOTE:   I am NOT interested in this thread dissolving over the team that used the play.   That ship has long since sailed.    All I'm interested is debating the merits of allowing the play,  or outlawing the play.       That's the heart of the issue.

I won't argue over it because of the Pats using it and all that, just one question. If the Pats used it on us, shouldn't they deserve credit where credit is due and isn't it fair game for anyone to use on anyone? I don't see why this is a problem if every team has the ability to use it and they just choose not too. Every team has the chance to use it, and likewise, every team should be ready to defend against it.

  18. YES... Lets draft another Werner-type player and HOPE he eventually learns how to play at the professional level with our first pick... !

Werner type player? Armstead is a 3-4 DE, Werner was a 4-3 DE that didn't make the transition to 3-4 OLB very well on our team. Next time do your research before making yourself look stupid. The reason to draft Armstead is, UNLIKE WERNER, he fits our scheme.

  19. 1) Jordan Phillips, DT

    2) Jaquiski Tartt, SS

    3) Bobby Richardson, DT

    4) Adrian Amos, FS

    5) Troy Hill, CB

    6) Dezmin Lewis, WR

    6) Jake Ryan, LB

    7) Brandon Bridge, QB

Jordan Phillips is one of those guys that when I watch more and more tape of him, I like him less and less. I'd rather get Goldman or Carl Davis instead. Love Tartt and Amos. I know nothing about Bobby Richardson, so I will check him out, you have me very curious. Hill I can get on board with. Jake Ryan is someone I absolutely love. He can play ILB and OLB and I believe he fits our scheme. Lewis I'm fine with, though I think there are better options at that point like Austin Hill and Titus Davis at WR. I'll pass on the QB there as well and take the BPA. Maybe someone fell from the 5th or 6th round to the end of the draft due to injuries or character concerns and we can take a low risk/high reward type of guy there.

Should be interesting when draft day comes, I agree we need to beef up the D-Line, I hope we get Arik Armstead to do so in the 1st. It'll be 50/50 whether he falls.
