  1. A lot of that time is spent on reversed calls determining where ball placement should be and where the clock should be set. You usually dont see it taking nearly as long on plays where the call stands as ruled for that reason.

College football takes a fraction of the time to determine these things. I don't see what's so difficult and in the end they still get it wrong!

  2. I thought Pagano was a real good defensive guy that could scheme a bit of a pass rush. I guess just call me disappointed on that one. Maybe I'm a hard butt but coaching is a bit more than all that ra ra stuff .

Do we ever blitz? I feel like I haven't seen any. I don't see any stunts either. Maybe someone with more football knowledge could explain why? I know our scheme doesn't really support an impressive pass rush, but we have to have something.

  3. I just want to get to 10 wins. 10-6 is around what everyone expected once the schedule was released last year. I would be very happy with that.

Ehhh... A lot of people were predicting 7-9 or 8-8. Only us Colts fans saw 11-5 or 10-6 as a possibility.

  4. There are decidedly not worse divisions. The 2013 AFC South may be one of the worst divisions ever.

The NFC North and AFC East is worse IMO. Maybe not by records or whatever, but it's just how I feel as far as quality. Obviously we will be a big underdog first round of the playoffs even at home.

  5. No matter what anyone says, we won the division.

The Texans are arguably better at just about every position except QB and they tanked.  The Titans are also very talented, and they spent a lot of money in free agency, and they tanked.

So, forget the excuse that we're in a crappy division - it's still the NFL.

Now it's time to get that train moving the right way.

There are worse divisions and we beat the "best" teams this season. We earned it. Swept Tenn also. Way to go Colts!

  6. Everyone in the NFL is banged up.  You only rest injured players at this point.

Absolutely no to resting Luck - he has to establish continuity with Rogers and Brazil.

Agreed with this. I say we "try different things" in the upcoming games. We have nothing to gain or lose. Anyway Colts are 2013 AFC South Champions! Let's get the Lombardi boys!

  7. Eliminate holding all around. Completely. Too much of a judgement call. This applies to kickoffs/punts as well as regular plays. Teams do it regularly until the refs randomly decide to throw a flag if they "think" it will outcome a play.

Eliminate illegal contact. Let em mug just like they used to.

All PI should be a 5 yard penalty without an automatic first down. None of this spot of the ball/on the 1 if in the end zone stupidity. Also reviewable.

All personal fouls should be automatically reviewed, and illegal blocks in the back should be a personal foul.

It would make games longer with added reviews, but the NFL should love it as it would be an excuse to bury us with more of the same ads every week.

I agree. There is holding on every play. There is illegal contact almost every play. Eliminate "illegal hit to the NECK AREA of the QB" also.

Don't call PI on ticky tack hand battling. Eliminate "Face Guarding".

There are just way to many things these guys are looking for.

As for the reviews, there is no excuse to miss those. Especially when they take 10 minutes to review.

If the NFL doesn't fire referees for erroneous mistakes, then nothing will change.

  8. He can catch the ball and make a great play. But he cannot run the ball after the line of scrimmage. He did okay today.

Once again we had no run blocking and the ONE time we did he broke it for like 8 or 10 yards. The O-Line is the problem. Although TRich had a terrible missed block today.

  9. Colts have been getting the bad end of the stick all year with the officiating . It has to be getting in our CB's heads they even breath out a receiver and it's PI so much holding against our Off by there D line today it was inexcusable that it never got called . Still I saw a lot of positive from the team today the played hard T Rick was running with steam D Rogers and Brazil showed can be play makers once Luck really gets that cadence down they will be dangerous weapons . We also put of 24 in a half of ball against a really good D if we can start out hot we can grind out a win against anyone .

They have an agenda to follow. Did you watch the NFL Network before the season? We were supposed to be 7-9 or 8-8 and that isn't happening so they have to make those games up elsewhere.

Look no further than the Patriots game and Ravens game today. They clearly only won because of the refs and now they're the lead story. Funny how that works. It's all about money and who brings the largest audience.

  10. I think you need a nice glass of wine - perhaps a pinot noir? Or maybe white - a chardonnay?

Don't take it seriously. Just tired of the NFL, the refereeing, and the patriots winning. There is one thing we can agree on though. Brady is very good.

  11. I guess the Cards and Rams are more his kryptonite.

Just admit the NFL likes to hand the Patriots wins. Then Belichick wins Coach of the Year the same year he was fined for cheating. Robert Kraft has a stranglehold on the NFL and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

  12. They're a business. And the business isn't fostering our hopes and dreams. It's to make money lol.

The next time I trust a big business of being honest will be the first time.

I'm on the verge of quitting watching the NFL. The NBA already lost me.

  13. YES its been spotty bad for years, but when they start overturning calls in review without conclusive evidence something is seriously wrong and needs to be addressed!

There's no excuse with all the technology they have now to miss that call. Until the media gets on them (which they won't) the same thing is going to happen over and over.
