what do you guys think about using the money that davis would have got (assuming he doesn't resign) and using that on byrd?
sounds like they're price tags could be about the same
I think its a good idea but if they did that why wouldn't they just keep davis hes been here two years and knows the system byrd might not be as productive as all you might think in his first year on a new team with new coaches and players

Mike Wells is saying that Canfora jumped the gun with his report.
Just as @HolderStephen noted, I was told saying Vontae Davis and Colts are nearing a deal would be "jumping the gun" at this moment.
I wouldn't take much stock into anything wells reports

the reason I say no to decker is first according to everyone this going to be one of the deepest drafts in awhile and 2nd there are cheaper better options in free agency one guy I like is Damian Williams he wont come with a big price tag and I have read some stuff on him they say he is good at getting open against the better cornerbacks in the NFL and now that NIcks said he is willing to take a one year prove it deal I just think there are cheaper better options out there

Houston has been associated with a bunch of QB rumors including Cassel (since re-signed by the Vikings), Kirk Cousins and others.
This one, http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/414773-report-texans-interested-in-ryan-mallett, makes the most sense. Mallett, a former third round pick is on the last year of his rookie contract. New England won't re-sign him to a new deal. He has worked with O'Brien and he knows the offense he intends to run in Texas. I think all of this noise about signing or trading for a QB is a good sign that the Texans are not going to take a QB with their first pick.

Watching the Colts the last two years, I did not see Vontae Davis dominate the game as you all seem to imply.
What I saw was Davis trailing behing and allowing his man to catch the ball.
He was just ok. I did not think he was much better, if at all than our backups.

Something is cooking, for sure. All I've heard is that they have a "plan" when it comes to Vontae....what that plan is, nobody knows
the last time I heard they had a plan in place for a player he got released (Satele)
