    Just because we gave up the draft pick should not be the reason for over paying an average cb.

    I think its a bigger mistake to over pay Davis and lock him up long term.

    My feeling is there are better options for us without Davis.

     

    Throughout the two years Davis was here, he was nothing special.

    In my opinion, our defense has been disappointing over that period and Davis has not lived up to his hype.

    He is being over rated by the "experts" as a free agent.

    And is being HIGHLY over rated on this forum.

    wow tell us how you really feel you know how you fix not having to watch wat you think is a horrible defense for the last two years watch another team its that simple

    Holy guacamole.

     

    That's a lot of money... I wanted us to sign him, but boy I'm not sure he's worth that much...

    its a front loaded contract with all the guaranteed money coming in the first two years so if his productivity does not match the pay grade by the time we have to resign all the great 2012 talent we can release him with no hit to our cap this was a great signing and I also looked most of the good people that are lower than him in pay grade are all still on rookie contracts in terms hes about the 14 highest paid inside linebacker and his contract is about 8 millon less than he was making in Cleveland and Ian Rapoport also said that was a great thing that Jackson is financially sound because that gives him an opportunity to choose where he wants to go regardless of the money he said that there were teams offering more but he chose the colts

    I did not say anything about trading for Harbaugh. I said they should hire him if he is really available and several people agreed. Pagano is a weak link in getting this team to the SB. He may turn into a decent coach but he is way short of Harbaugh right now. If what I wrote was garbage, there wouldn't have been so many people agreeing with me.

    Sounds about right.  I'm surprise Satele didn't get cut yet; I don't know what we're waiting for.  Davis says he wants to stay and I don't think we can afford to let him go considering how bad our secondary is.  Besides Davis is young and can improve dramatically.  Even tho Mack is out, there are centers and guards out there in FA.  Don't know what we gonna do on ST with no Punter and Kicker, but thats a whole different matter.

    probably his replacement it may look like he sucks really bad but trust there is a lot worse

    I would hate a WR signing other than Damian Williams or another lower tier WR in free agency. There is too much WR talent in the draft so we can get one there.

     

    Would much rather spend the money on defense and center.

    yes please damian Williams. ive been doing some research on him hes a solid WR that would fit great in our system and add some size
