Howell is going to shock you, he can play.
I agree with you he definitely should have been drafted the san fran game was just awesome
-
I think there will be really good competition at that spot I don't know why there isn't a lot of talk of maybe brown beating out Howell for the job
-
Never really gets overpowered, but he's susceptible to getting beat by quick players. His tape is also very consistent.
still think hes not worth our second pick
-
I was so happy when marvin said jack mewhort I actually about the beginning of march said that the colts really need to take this guy with their second pick and everyone that posted laughed at me looks like grigson didn't great great great pick
-
This is what happens when you enter a draft with 2nd , 3rd, 5th , 6th and 7th round picks. If you look at the value chart those picks are valued at about 500 points in total. Compare that to the 20th pick in round one and you'll see that you are about 300 points short of equaling that pick alone. Point is when you start a draft at pick 59 , have no extra picks in any round and are short your 4th rounder to boot , you are at a pretty big disadvantage.
don't feed the troll

I loved this draft from the second we picked mewhort
-
This draft was bad
this post was bad

If he's a day one starter than means Grig screwed up on FA last year OR our third round pick lol...
APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE for the thread, but you need to look at this draft and last years... Werner, Thorton, Holmes, first 3 and CB price and S from Oregon who got kicked off the team before we could even cheer for him... Anyone catching my drift???
We got a great versatile T with our first pick, but we NEEDED a Center and Safety... And probably CB... We didn't get any of those the entire draft... THINK ABOUT IT... What if injury prone Toler or Landry get hurt?? UH OHHHHHHHHHH!!!
their the ones that studied and watched the film they know what there doing just like girgs said you cant just draft a guy because of need you have to like them to
-
Of course we do, Delano Howell was going to start, and we knew that before the draft tbh.
you cant know that we could get a CFA that beats him out never know
-
this is a great pick a good pass rusher which ive seen on these forums a lot of people think we need (me to) great pick safety coming in the 7th
-
OMFG WHAT IS GRIGSON DOING
wow calm down let these guys get on the field maybe they think we have are starting safety already
-
this is laughable cant we let a guy get on the field before we start thinking the world is imploding. jeez hes a day one starter and a leader
-
well guys hes are second round pick called it in march yessss!!!!!! I knew it, so glad we drafted him going to be a day one starter and a leader
-
best o-line man next year watch
-
G,DT, EDGE and S. The prospect of nabbin' a top tier utility offensive lineman like BITONIO OR MEWHORT is intiguing.
its funny I said mewhort a couple months ago and people laughed at me
-
I hope they show it on NFL.com but I have a feeling I might be going to a friends house to watch it on the NFL network
-
im not a big fan of guys talking trash before there even drafted but heres the article

Failing a test when you Know_You're_Going_To_Be_Tested is beyond boneheaded, and is very significant. Bill Polian says it means either-
A. They're too dumb
B. Don't care
C. Are addicted
And in any of the above cases, it makes you rethink why you would want that player. Says the history of those who test positive at the combine is not good, they get into trouble. So players will have extra scrutiny because of this. Mettenberger and Jerrigan did drop their status, I'm fairly sure.
with all do respect I could really care less what bill polian has to think or say but you are right
-
By Darick do you mean Rogers?...... Cause we didn't draft him.... He was an undrafted free agent first picked up by the Bills and then cut and then we picked him up on our practice squad.
yea I was going to edit that but I iwas reading another post and commented on it and forgot but yea I do think the colts are decent in the later rounds I would still say the seahawks probably have picked the best in the later rounds in the last 5 years
-
You make a good point. But then he was a late round pick with little risk involved. When it comes to Jernigan or Mettenberger, who project to be high picks, I would only take them if they were available in the late rounds. It boggles my mind how a guy can test positive for a drug when he knows he's going to be tested.
I wouldn't accept those. I would be ok if it's something like what happened in the Olympics in hockey when Nick Backstrom tested positive, but it was because he was taking allergy medication. But if it's weed or enhancement drugs, it may be correctable, but it's still boneheaded.
For what it's worth, Seantrel Henderson will almost certainly go undrafted now. He cost himself a lot of money. Million dollar talent, 10 cent mind
your absolutely right I wouldn't hurt their draft stock just to show some common sense but I still think they can all become great players once they get their priorities straight
-
he will be a starter and a great leader some day
-
I would cross all those guys off my list if I were drafting, depending on what they were caught with. You know you're going to be drug tested, and yet you come through with a positive test. It shows you don't care, and that I can't trust you
I don't know about not trusting them I would its more about them being young and need to mature a little everybody was young at one point you lose your way sometime Brazill failed a drug test last year we gave him a second chance and he helped out a lot last year people can grow and change it just take a little time

How so ?
