  1. whats weird is that if colts really want wallace they could wait a year. steelers dont have cash to sign him and i dont think they can tag him twice in 2 years, so he hits the market. Colts will have like 53 mil under cap next year so we could just grab him in fa next year and lose no picks. we lose a year without him but no picks

Yeah but there is a risk that Wallace doesn't sign with the Colts and signs elsewhere. If this happens Arians or someone must REALLY want Wallace that bad.

  2. That was just an example. I could have a WR put up 2,000 yards and 30 TDs, and his overall rating goes up 2 points. Just a beef of mine. In the real world, when a player puts up some ungodly stats, his overall rating shoots up into the high 90s.

I know when I played the older Madden I would intentionally choose really awful players and make them them have insane stats just for fun. If I started off with a guy that was 65 and a receiver for ex, his stats would shoot up like crazy whereas if I chose a guy who was already a 92, he would rise really slowly. Like Nobody said I think its about potential, maybe the higher guys are closer to their ceiling so they level slowly. I'm not too sure how it works in the newer Maddens(s).

  3. I was browsing YT vids (boring day) and came across this video. It's of the AFC Wildcard game against the Jets in the 2010 season. FF to 1:44 and you can see Manning deliver a bullet to Garcon for a TD. The pass traveled 40 yards through the air with a great spiral.

An this is a pick from the Seahawks game, looks to be the same type of delivery (as in, he wasn't trying to drop it in there). The pass travels 35 yards through the air with much less velocity and noticeable wobbliness.

So we can definitely say at this point that he's lost a lot of velocity, who knows if he'll get it back.

The first pass was a 46 yard pass in which he took a 6 step drop then really stepped into his throw

the second pass was a 3 step drop(from shotgun) 35 yard pass in which he planted his foot but didnt drive into the throw like the first video.

Also in the first pass, Manning has to over throw the safety, in the 2nd pass Manning is trying to drop it between the safety and the corner. This is why you see him really drive it in the first video, and not really have to in the 2nd video. Two similar but different throws.

  4. @TMPHBITEU

Trade winds: Colts likely to acquire Polamalu, Revis, Haden and Adrian Peterson for 4 future (22nd century) 7th round picks. #COLTSSTRONG

I'm hearing this too. I'm at least as credible as the current sources we're posting on here.

    finally a credible source

I'm hearing the Colts may offer a 7th and Stanton for Matthew Stafford as well

  5. Elway who is one of the most physically gifted QB's to ever step on the field knows a thing or two about arm strength and accuracy. There is no way he is giving Manning a $96M contract if he is having any arm issues.

"He's throwing the post route and everything well,'' Elway said. "I went back and looked at film from 2010 and 2009 to get a comparison of Peyton, and he looks to me to be the same guy throwing now that he was then.

"The ball is coming out quicker all the time the more and more time he gets with the offense and getting to know all his receivers and tight ends. ... That's always been his style. He's never been the Nolan Ryan of quarterbacks anyway. He's always thrown the ball with great anticipation and touch."

He hasn't played in a year or so. It's all rust. He just had a phenomenal game against the seahawks. Threw for 170+ yards and a high completion percentage against one of the best corner tandems in the NFL. I'm usually pretty harsh on Manning but there has been nothing so far in the pre-season showing he has arm issues. If you really need to, go back and watch the 2 minute drive against the Seahawks. He was absolutely perfect. Looked exactly like Manning in 2010. 2 penalties ended up killing that drive.

I think people are confusing the lack of chemistry and rust for arm issues. His passes have been pretty much on the money. He threw two deep bombs against the Seahawks as well which were incomplete.

  6. I think something that is forgotten is, of course we got a young promising prospect in Luck but lets not forget what Manning got. He went from one very classy organization to another. He gets basically a fresh start and a chance to finally go after the one thing that will cap off his brilliant career, the ring. Heck even 2,3,4.......you get the point. The decision benefited both sides.

As for the decision, it was the right decision even last year. All the numbers, the signs, the reports basically pointed at Manning leaving. It wasn't exactly some huge mystery. It was just harder for some to accept than others. And you can see in this thread that some still haven't come to accept the decision....

He has looked good in the pre-season but the Broncos overall have looked very good. Really balanced on both sides of the ball. And this is why I think Manning will get a ring with the Broncos. JMO. At the very least I see them making the AFCCG within a year or two. More realistically in year 2 or 3.

  7. I'm glad it happened because we know Luck will learn from it. Not to say it won't happen again, every QB in the world has done a play like that more than once, but you could tell from his reaction he knew it was on him - especially when talking to Bruce, saying "I *fluffed* up".

Exactly. I was hoping the Steelers would bring everything they could at Luck because that's the only way he would learn and they did.

  8. I didn't like the two missed calls though...when the LB was all over Wayne when he was running across the middle and another play when I think it was Hilton who was basically dragged to the ground. That could have been a 3rd pick. Missed calls like these in the real games could be detrimental.
