These same fans will be back on the bandwagon when Luck has a great game. Just ignore.
-
They are?
Why all of these sudden high expectations for the Bears? Their defense is nothing special at this point; their O-line is subpar, and they have only two truly good offensive players in Foote and Marshall.
They're not even one of the top 5 NFC teams; I'd still take the Packers, 49ers, Giants, Lions, and Saints over them.
This Thursday should be a good matchup, packers vs bears.

I hope we at least get to see Collie and Hilton back next week.

Its a weeding process. Most have accepted that this is a rebuilding year and it may take a few years to be contenders. There are the few left still clinging onto the past and will hopefully hop off the bandwagon soon.
I seriously don't understand... I am still rooting for Manning but even I understand that Manning is on a much better team right now. It's a win win situation. Manning has a great shot at getting to the big one on the Broncos and the Colts got a great prospect for the long term. Both sides win but some people want to have their cake and eat it too.

and you would be wrong on both. I was in the beginning all for trading this pick. after they didn't i was thinking we were going to really put a team around Luck (well we didn't)
I also thought we would win this game but for it to end up like it did i now realize i was right in the first place we should have traded that pick. it's the same old thing except without PM and so they will be NO playoffs EVER
You know what I learned a long time ago? People are dumb.
^ This about sums it up. I don't think anyone is going to bother arguing because of the sheer stupidity in this thread.

I think OP meant he didn't watch the game and just read the stat lines...not sure though

very funny!! i've forgot more about football than most on this forum!!
still!! we should have traded that pick. this is not even fair for Luck
It's like you've been living under a rock for the past year or you have no knowledge of football whatsoever. I'm going with both.

Colts are still 2nd in the divison
-
Even though they made some plays, Reggie reminded us why we let them go.

Fleener actually had a pretty good game. Hilton did not start as he was injured. Freeney left the game injured and Mathis had 2 sacks.
-
And another key point, injuries. Would have been nicer to have Collie, Hilton, and Reitz playing.
-
Prior to last year, thats what people used to say about the Texans

I'll admit that it was wishful thinkiing on my part that they would win today. I'm not surprised at the outcome. Andrew Luck did OK , other than throwing 4 interceptions. He racked up the yards and definitely has a bright future in the league. It's bound to take some time for all the adjustments. This season one has to take it game by game. There will be good ones and bad ones. The comparisons to Manning's first NFL game were so similar.
I hope Freeney's injury isn't too serious. Have to wait and see if he'll be out awhile.

Yes he dropped two passes but the O line is absolutely awful at run blocking. Hopefully with Reitz back in there next week there will be improvement. Oh and that Bears D is pretty darn good.

This is great. Rodgers was just talking about Smith a few days ago and said good things about him.
-
He is should sign him now he is far better than any guard on our roster.
I agree, would not hurt for the Colts to at least bring him in for a w/o.

I'll say over.

Sounds like they're still bitter about 2006
-
What are your thoughts on McGlynn? Is he solid?
-
If Collie is out, Hilton takes his spot right?
-
A little off topic but Superman and some others were talking about this yesterday, Jake Scott could be a good choice. Grigson could at least bring him in for a w/o. Can't hurt. Not to replace Reitz but possible upgrade over McGlynn. I'm a total O line noob so I don't even know.

Geesh I didn't know they gave up 62 sacks! That is ugly
Yeah I'm really hoping that number is far lower this year lol
Colts sign Trai Essex, waive Shipley and Person (mod: edited title, merge)

As long as it's an upgrade over Linchenbach... I saw him get abused on one play, I think it was the one where Luck would have been involved in the tuck rule. I forget.
