  1. Today so far, I am seeing the Colts team much closer to what I expected to see all year, though the offence is still underperforming.
  2. If the Bills 24 -7 lead holds vs the Titans, after 2 weeks colts are tied for 2nd in the division, only one point back.
  3. So they’re just giving up and trying to run the clock out now? Nice run to Hines.
  4. On the prior play when Ryan was sacked, when looking for an open guy, Granson was coming completely open and it sure looked like Ryan wanted to pass to him for what looked to be an easy TD, but Granson was so unaware, taking forever to turn around to look back to the QB. Grandson’s lack of awareness took the pass away and instead of a TD, it was a sack.
  5. Taylor is a star. Strachan needs to be used more, as he looks like the only viable receiver outside of MPJ.
  6. Well that was quite the lame duck throw for the int. Good to see the Colts utilizing Hines as I have (unpopularly) been advocating. Hope they continue to use him on the field with Taylor. Now come on D, let’s get an early stop!
  7. I am going to go out on a limb and say, if the Colts don’t win today vs the Jags, they will not win the division. If this team is going to be a real contender, after last week’s disappointment vs the Texans, the Colts must bounce back and slay the Jags in Jacksonville. With KC on line for next week, today is a MUST WIN game. Go Colts!
  8. Grrr, What the heck, Blankenship! The special teams coaching! Total blunder.
  9. Can’t believe Taylor didn’t turn up the field on that run for what looked to be the easy first down. Mental mistake, as out of bounds was irrelevant with the Colts still having two time outs left.
  10. Strachan has given me a glimmer of hope for this WR crew.
  11. I wasn’t totally opposed to the going for it, but to me, you just don’t leave points on the field. So much time left at that point, I agree, take the give me 3.
  12. This time in the red zone, Taylor stays in. TD! Frank, it’s not rocket science!
  13. And where is Taylor when you’re in the red zone? <face palm>
  14. I agree on the play calling issue. I like Reich as a HC, but I dislike him as an OC. To me, he has to hire a real OC to take over the offensive reigns. I’ve been of this opinion for the prior 2 years.
  15. Well, I said it before, Hines should be the 2nd / 3rd receiver guy on the field at all times, basically. Plus, that opens up all kinds of mismatches. Think how KC used Tyreek Hill. Hines could be in that role.
  16. He ought not to be the back up RB, Hines should be your gadget mismatch player on the field WITH Taylor at the same time. Lindsey should be the backup RB.
  17. He ought not to be the back up RB, Hines should be your gadget mismatch player on the field WITH Taylor at the same time. Lindsey should be the backup RB.
  18. I really, REALLY dislike how Reich continues to use Hines as a “replacement” to Taylor, especially at critical times like that attempted hurry up drive, rather than keeping Taylor on the field and bringing Hines in to use as another weapon at the same time. Actually boggles my mind and frustrates me so. Example of the bad of Hines in instead of Taylor, that 2nd down run by Hines, he gets nicked on the run and falls down. Just no way Taylor doesn’t run through that contact getting the easy first down. Result, Colts fail to get the first down, having to punt it away, versus easy first down by Taylor & a 2 minute drive continuing. I like Hines, but I truly believe the Colts continue to misuse him, mostly using him to wrongfully spell a super star RB, instead of putting Hines on the field at the same time as Taylor, creating a dynamic duo and mix matches. Sorry, my first half rant on a team once again looking totally ill prepared for the first game of the season. So far, I am very disappointed.
  19. Bullocks. That was set up to be a big play for Taylor. Very good defensive play by Hughes, the former Colt. Ugh.
  20. Painfully, too cute of a play-call. Put the ball in Ryan’s hands and let the spread out play action option do it’s thing. I don’t mind having gone for it there, but IMHO, dumb play-call that pretty much puts you down a guy on the play, as Ryan could pretty much be ignored. Tough drop by the rookie on 3 rd down.
