...that this team is in the playoff hunt. Don't get me wrong, I love it and I hope it happens.
What makes it hard to believe is how ...mediocre (don't want to use the term bad) this team is. Minshew is a roller coaster. JT is out more than he plays, and except for MPJ we really didn't have another WR threat until yesterday. Yes, Downs shows a lot of promise.
The defense is near the bottom in just about every important category. Justifiably so, with the inexperience at CB, and missing Grove. (But I love how Jones is playing, and Kenny is a stud).
I understand that the main reason we're in the hunt is because of the weak schedule, but you play who you play. We seem to want to lose a little less that the teams we're facing, lol!
All that being said, I'm excited we're in the hunt. I don't know how long it's going to last because I wait for that shoe to drop every game now. But it's fun.
Yeah, my sentiments exactly; It's surprising.
It will be a pleasant surprise if we make the playoffs.
If we do, I hope we win a game or two. It's been a while.

Look, I respect the heck out of you as a poster. What’s happened has happened. I have no ill will towards Luck.
I hope Richardson can have success with this team for years to come, so that 2019, 2021 and 2022 eventually become just a bad dream.
Same here, man.
I respect you too.

So that wasn't you? Got it.
That was me saying , "no, I don't think they had nothing to do with his retirement."
He asked if I thought they had nothing to do with the retirement, I responded "no"
I see how it could be confusing, though, since people routinely use double negatives.

This game is fun so far.

Look, I agree with your statement about career ending injury, but to say injuries had nothing to do with his retirement is delusional. But choosing to retire (no matter the reason) and having a career ending injury are two separate things.
I didn't say injuries had nothing to with him wanting to retire, if that's what you're were implying/thought.

Just as delusional and defensive as a Luck hater.
I thought this was a Colts site…
Nothing I'm saying is delusional.

He chose to quit before his body chose it for him. Who are you to tell another person how to live their life? He should have done it before the draft is my only issue
When did I tell anyone how to live their life?
You Luck fans get real delusional and defensive.

So you’re saying injuries had nothing to do with Luck deciding to retire? No.

Yes you do.
And Potato patahto. Luck ended his career because of injuries. If you want to go down that rabbit hole, you're on your own.

He may not have suffered a career ending injury but he said he was in constant pain for four straight years. Isn’t that enough?
7 hours ago, GoColts8818 said:I think it’s pretty clear his point was more that his career was ended by injuries which it was same with RG3. If we can pickup what someone means do we need to play gotcha?
No, it's not the same. I don't know why you Luck fans want to pretend it is.
Luck fan: HE SUFFERED A CAREER ENDING INJURY!"
(proceeds to get called out on the false narrative)
Luck fan: "POTATO POTAHTO!"
So ridiculous.
He chose to quit. I'm pretty sure most players are in pain through out the season. He was able to still physically play if he wanted to; he didn't. Injuries and pain are a part of football; it's a rough sport.
And if it is all the same (it isn't) no body should bat an eye when I say he didn't suffer a career ending injury.
He quit...
...for multiple reasons.
But it all boils down to a deliberate decision of quitting.
Career ending injury implies he had no choice, but that is false.
He chose to quit.

Good thing Richardson can pass
Pass well?
Takes more than a strong arm and 2-3 games in the NFL to determine that.
He is a ? mark.

QBs get hurt, runners or not. Some are exceptionally smart at avoiding contact, like TB and PM. And even they had season ending injuries.
You need a mobile QB, and I hope that AR is more Mahomes than Lamar (who’s played 12 games the last two seasons, so the jury is still out on him).
RG3 and Luck both had career ending injuries. Look how many starters are out this year.
All that being said, there are a lot of very good QBs in this draft. Just sayin…
You don't NEED a mobile QB. You NEED a QB that can pass.
Luck didn't suffer a career ending injury.

You can’t look at the schedule and think they don’t have a good chance to make it.
This is not the 2003-10 Colts. There is no easy schedule for this team.

Difference between trades education and university education, really just boils down to getting straight to the nuts and bolts, as it were. In university, generally, the first two years are spent on general well rounded education, whereas in trades, it just gets straight to specialty training.

exactly, just in a different field!it was a elitist comparison from some that think people in trades aren’t as good as people with college degrees.
Yeah, you can't just go straight to operating on human beings with out extensive training and certifications.
Poor analogy.

Dunno.... but here's what I found.
It takes approximately 14 to 16 years to become a neurosurgeon, including pre-med (undergrad) education, medical school, internship and residency. Neurosurgeons undergo one of the longest training periods of any medical specialty due to the complexity of the field of medicine.
Within the United States, the cost of applying to neurosurgical residency alone costs approximately $10,000,6 and neurosurgical training can cost $1,200,000 for a single resident over the course of their seven year training (Gordon et al., 2020).
Although not required, completing a two-year associate's degree in an area like industrial technology, ironworking, welding, applied science or metal working can help you develop a standard knowledge of practices you need to work as a blacksmith.Aug 2, 2023.
LOL as I know you're playing around. Just thought I would have some fun too.
All this did was prove that they are entirely different fields, with different requirements and skill sets.
Just think it was a poor analogy.

Ok... here ya go. The post I answered inferred that Moss was closed to Taylor as a RB. I said comparng Moss to Taylor is like comparing a brain surgeon to a blacksmith >.That would mean that in my opinion Taylor is much more skilled than Moss. i
Isn't a blacksmith quite skilled too?

If you didn’t see the entire piece which ran about 15 minutes +/- then you get a distorted view of the piece from a 13 second clip. Colts Fan Cole, who posted this angry tweet, is completely clueless. The piece was extremely flattering to Irsay. The only issue was when he painted himself as a victim. And Kramer tried to help him as much as she could. So out of 15-plus minutes the only area to be bothered by is the last 15 seconds when Andrea Kramer talks with the host Bryant Gumbel. Which makes this out of context and extremely misleading.
Thats it. Really.
And that's all that was needed.

You are not able to understand it i guess but stereotypes against billionaires is a very real thing. Its not why he got arrested but its part of all of this backlash that we are watching right now. You are probably doing it too and cant even realize it lol
A lot of people hate them just for being rich. Hating someone for being rich is a stereotype, and its not uncommon
Gets even more hate since he inherited the Colts from his dad.

And people still hold biased stereotypes against them, and spread hate about them all day every day. If Jim was a regular guy that got this dui no one would care, this is all over the media because hes Jim Irsay and people make a bunch of prejudice comments about him without knowing the full truth.
He is right about the prejudice= twitter, reddit and this forum have been proving that to be true all day.
Sure he has it made but that prejudice does exist.
They guy gets a lot of unwarranted hate, but he is absolutely fueling it. He really needs to stop.
The hate is only going to grow from here.

I’m saying that the situations are entirely different. Leonard May one day return to the Darius version not the Shaq version we’ve seen for two years. Most of the posters on here were ready to move on from Leonard last year. If by some chance he becomes an all pro again, I think there might be some people regretting it but the majority, I think will acknowledge the situation it is.
the only reason Hughes is regretted is because right after we traded him, we fired everyone and switched to the very 3-4 he would have and did excell in
Didn't we play a 3-4 D when we traded him during the Grigaon era?

Yeah, it doesn't matter who is playing. I'm never predicting a win against the Steelers. We are cursed against them.
As of now, I'm saying the Colts are going to lose this game lol
