per Rotoworld and Schefter
Pats traded a 2nd to Carolina for Kony Ealy and a 3rd

good for both of them,.....hope he's got enough in the tank to ball out some more.

Because they don't have a qb....until they get one it will probably continue. I do think with Coughlin setting the tone in the organization it will get better.
yeah he knows what he's doing for sure...now see if they can put it together.

Didn't they draft Fowler but he got hurt? Too soon to tell I guess.
very true, but they've drafted and signed all these big time players and they're STILL drafting in the top 5 lol

yep, to get those player the Colts need to draft in the top 3-5 most of the time.
and look what drafting in the top 5 consistently has gotten Jacksonville.

Khalil Mack's and Von Miller's aren't just sitting at a bus stop waiting to be picked up. No one in this free agent class was a Khalil Mack or Von Miller. I want a dominant pass rusher too but people come here every year saying that we need to "at least" sign 3 of the top 4 free agents that year or we aren't trying hard enough and the front office just doesn't get it. Silly.

I know it's been said before, but Ballard knows better than anyone out there how Poe is and we'll find out how hard he goes after him.

Ballard said he wanted to get "Frank Gore" mentality type players. Simon sounds like one of those types:
"He is kind of an unsung hero type of player," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said of Simon during the season. "He's a guy who personifies doing your job. He does a good job every week of going out and doing what he's coached to do. Vrabel does a good job of coaching him.
"John loves playing the game. He's in here all the time. He just loves being around it. He's tough."
Vrabel is never surprised by the production of Simon, who's known for his physical style and strength in the weight room. Simon has bench pressed over 500 pounds and worked diligently on his flexibility and pass coverage skills.
"I see a tough, physical football player who the game and his teammates are important to him," Vrabel said. "He loves it. He studies hard. He tries to do it the way we coach him to do it."
that's what I like to see...changing the mentality of the D here.

Essentially a younger Walden replacement. I'd be absolutely fine with that but I wouldn't want to rely on him to be our pass rush leader.
use him in the Walden role and that should work really well.....but obviously draft edge rushers too.

Per Rotoworld....Bmore resigns Brandon Williams...5 yr deal

Reiff is headed to the Vikings.
That's what's killing me about these guys. You knew he wasn't going to make big splashes, yet got your hopes up anyway and now you're upset...EVERY YEAR THIS HAPPENS AND EVERY YEAR HAS BEEN THE SAME APPROACH.
and every year it's the same fan reaction

didn't Ballard flat out hint that he wasn't going to make a huge splash in FA?

well he would be the only first round receiver on the team, so that's my guess.
