  1. Did you mean was or wasnt a God-Fanatic.  Because he is already open about his faith.  If you mean wasnt, then how does him believe in, or not believing in, God affect his football skills?

Sorry typo..it was suppose to be wasn't. And I was being sarcastic because of the meme (if he wasn't a god fanatic...he wouldn't be throwing his passes to the ground in order to "hit" satan).

  2. Seriously, Skip? When I see analysts like Skip..I honestly wonder why I can't be one. I mean, I could probably be half- brain dead and make more sound predictions/analysis than this guy. On a other note, I do feel Tebow could be a better QB if he was a God-Fanatic...

Let's just hope he really does move to TE; otherwise, he'll be hitting Belichick with his passes instead of the ground.  haha

  3. So the worst thing he's done is get drunk and miss an appointment that had nothing to do with his team because he was hungover. And in the world of social media where his every move is tracked you have formed an obsession with him.

Well, he missed appointment/meeting at the Manning Academy Camp. It doesn't matter that his team was not involved...he made a commitment to the camp, so he should of showed up on time. I'm sure he arrived to all the Heat, MLB, Drake games/meetings on time. I don't think this would be such a big deal if it wasn't a reoccurrence. He keeps saying something like, "I'm a 20 yr old college student..I'm not perfect..I'm going to learn from this." Yet, time and time again..he finds himself in unfavorable situations.

  4. Well on the bright side, Johnny Manziel had a really good response for his actions at the frat party incident.."Last time I checked double digit win columns and championships are what matters." Lol, please Johnny..just get rid of your twitter.

--Plus he seemed to have some interesting responses to people who criticized him.

  5.  He crushed every 'MSU' quarterback records. I'm not sure you've seen him play all that much. His stats are very even and consistent from year to year. It was the coaching style at 'MSU' that negated him(cousins) from having huge stats. We can't base sole potential of a quarterback on his college production(which is still quite good). Do names like harrell, ware, klingler, kingsbury ring any bells? All had huge college stats and all were flops. The thing that benefits cousins the most is the fact he came from a pro style offense.

I actually watched Kirk play quite a bit. Being an avid B1G fan, I usually watch Purdue and 5-7 games a season of the "big dogs" of the B1G. So I've probably watched him play 25 games or so + 1 game, live in person where he and R. Wilson duked it out (awesome game btw). While the records are impressive, they could be a little "misleading." For starters, MSU hasn't necessarily had a rich history at the qb position. Behind Kirk; Drew Stanton, Hoyer, and Morrall are probably the next best qbs..while decent, not the best company. Plus, he was a 3 yr starter + played quite a bit as a RS Fresh (which isn't all that common in the power conferences)...also didn't hurt that he had extended seasons all 3 years. Consequently, then, he had plenty of games to beat those career records (most, if not all, of his records were career records..no season records). And while his stats were consistent, his gameplay wasn't. There were times where he was hot...then at other times, he was cold..and I mean cold. Furthermore, if you watch him...you can tell he stares down receivers at times. Lastly, you can't say Kirk was a great decision maker?  Anyways, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Kirk was a bad college qb. Cousins had a great career, probably the best qb Michigan State ever had besides maybe Morrall...and all the records he did beat were insane despite what I said about it. But, just because he had an above college career, a great guy off the field, and won 2 games in the NFL doesn't mean he'll necessarily be a great qb. Until I see a larger sample of games of him playing in the NFL...I'd rather have Andrew, Robert, or Russell. JMO

  6. Like others mentioned, I think Wilson will continue to improve next year. Obviously, being with the Seahawks and adding Percy Harvin won't hurt..but I really think Russell is the real deal. From what I heard, he's a film-rat..someone always striving to improve, so with that being said..if he does have a slump..it won't be due to a lack of effort. RGIII could have a down-year, but I think he'll be okay. The only concern I have with RGIII is the injury; however, I think he'll recover and have a solid year.

As for Kap...I could see him having a slump. I'm still not sold on him. Sure, he does has the potential, physically, to be a great QB; yet, Kap always seemed to be a "lightning in the bottle" type of guy to me....One play he showcases his potential, while at other times he had me scratching my head. Given, I only watched him play 2 full games (NFCG and the Super Bowl)..so I will admit that I probably shouldn't even give an opinion on Kap, but oh well.

Now, onto Kirk. While I enjoyed watching Cousins play at Michigan State..I still have my doubts about him having a great future as a starter in the NFL. While in college, he really seemed to struggle in the decision making department....especially in critical game situations. Plus, he never was the the "man" in Mark Dantonio's system. Michigan State's offense was/is a run-first..pass-second type of offense. Therefore, it'd be interesting to see if he could handle an offense that was centered around him. As for defending Cousins because he won 2 games and "helped" RGIII/skins get to the playoffs, who won the previous 8 games? Without RGIII, Kirk wouldn't have been in the position to help the skins win the East..so it goes both ways. And just because he won 2 games doesn't necessarily mean he'll be a great QB. If you use that logic, Kevin Kolb should be a great QB (didn't Kolb throw 300+ yds & had a high qbr in his first 2 games?). Lastly, I like to think that I'm a pretty charismatic and well-spoken guy....but I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't want me as your franchise qb (although if you do want to give me a shot...I'll give it a try for a multi-million dollar contract...with guaranteed money of course :yahoo: )

  7. what ever happened to that game Schilling was to have created?  did it flop? if so, he wasted millions on it.

Assuming you're talking about Kingdoms of Amular, yeah it basically flopped. That was only game he created before his company went bankrupt lol. Not one of the best investments Schilling has made in his career.

  8. Does anybody know if the 208 section is ok.

I had section 208 for a B1G Ten championship game, and I thought they were pretty solid..especially when the teams were on our side of the 50. The only downside I can see, imo, was when they were in the redzone on the other side of the field (still wasn't that bad though)..but you can look on the big screen if you have trouble following the action in those situations. Anyways, I wouldn't have any problem buying tickets from that section again..then again I'm pretty easy to please ha.

  9. Words can't describe how dejected I feel right now, lol. Oh well, I guess I have to make due with my Purdue football season tickets, and the occasional colts tickets I manage to get my hands on, for now. Anyways, glad to hear that they're sending out the season tickets, hope you enjoy them guys!  :)

  10. No biggie imo, especially considering that we don't even know if he was partying or not. Peyton and company claimed that he was late and sick, so I'm just going to take their word for it. I don't think many people give Manziel enough credit for the work he's been putting in this offseason. The Aggie's qb has been working out with George Whitfield out west, qb coach/mentor at the Elite 11 and Manning camps, etc...the stuff the media doesn't cover that much (Believe me I'm not trying to defend Johnny, I'm no fan of any player or coach in the SEC, ha). Sure, the kid's made some questionable mistakes..but you have to keep in mind he's a 20 yr old college student..not the Pope. I'm sure if the media was covering me and anybody at that age..god actually I don't even want to imagine that scenario lol. People just need to take it easy until football season. If Johnny doesn't produce on the field, then that's when the media and fans should rip him, not now.  Plus, wasn't Eli pretty late to to a meeting at the Manning Camp a while back (ironically at the same age as Johnny is now)?

  11. Lol, great stuff as always Stephen.

Since we're on the discussion of video games, kind of, I heard Rockstar Games is in the works of adding Hernandez to GTA 5. The artwork is looking good thus far.           aaron1.jpg

  12. I've been to 3 games @ LOS. Last year against the Vikes, 09 Pats game, and the 09 AFCG vs the Jets. All were really good games, but I would have to say the 09 Pats game was my favorite. When we were down 17 or so, these nearby Pat fans were talking all this weak crap about how Manning could never beat Brady. Lol, I'll never forget their faces for as long as I live when Reggie caught the game winning touchdown. On the bright side for them though, they learned a valuable lesson that night, or at least I hope they did. Never assume a game is over until the clock hits zero.

  13. I think they'll be okay after this year when they get LeBron James. I can see it already, "The Decision 2.0."

-Magic Johnson--" LeBron, my man, have you made a decision?"

-LeBron James-- " Magic, I have. As you know, I've been fortunate to have a great relationship with David Stern and the NBA. They've been kissing my *** all these years, and because of them...I'm considered to be the best basketball player in the world. Sadly, though, all good things must come to an end as you must know. With David Stern retiring, my basketball career is f'd due to the fact that I actually have to play a game of basketball where it's not fixed."

--Magic--- "Wow, so where are you going?"

--Lebron-- "I've decided it's in my best interests to take my talents to the north coast where I'll play for the New England Patriots. With what has happened to the Patriots and Hernandez..they can really use a tight end. And if Spygate is any indicator, the Patriots know how to cheat. Therefore, its a win-win situation. I can still have my legendary status in basketball, while also having the opportunity to build  a dynasty with the Patriots. I mean, taping my opponent's practice is the next best thing to having the games fixed, right? I ain't got no worries!"

Okay obviously I'm joking, lol (I don't think the NBA is fixed fyi). But it'll be interesting to see how the Patriots' season turns out. After losing Wes, Hernandez, Llyod, etc...Brady will definitely have his work cut out for him. With that being said, though, I still think New England will win their division. Sure, Miami is a threat..but the Pats still have Brady..and even though I hate to admit it...Tom is a great QB. However, I don't see them making it that far into the postseason.

  14. While I wanted Rhodes, there's no point to dwell in the past and wonder what if. I'm optimistic that our DBs will be pretty solid for us. So with that in mind, I'm glad with our pick...with Werner's work ethic, potential, etc. I expect him to transition well to LB. Can't wait for this upcoming season, Go Colts!

  15. I remember this time last year when more then half of the analysts, writers, etc. claimed that we were still in the rebuilding phase and expected us to have a top 5-10 pick in the 2013 draft. And yet we were 11-5, made the playoffs, and almost won AFC South. I don't take that much stock into what others say because at the end of the day...they don't control our fate..we do.

  16. A.

While the Colts have a very bright future, the Pacers are only a few pieces away from getting to the NBA Finals imo. Obviously what they do this offseason (resigning David West, Trade or not trade Danny Granger, etc) will be a big indicator for their future success, I still think the Pacers have the better shot in the near future. Plus, the Eastern Conference is relatively weak (especially if the Big 3 in Miami break up), so it's not like they have to go through the likes of the Broncos, Patriots, Texans, etc to get to the Finals.
