  1. In other news, after being admitted to the hospital for concerning health issues; it has been verified that Gary Kubiak has sustained a heart attack due to the Colts come from behind win.

Yes, I know, horrible joke and I'm probably going to go to hell for it; however, after witnessing some of our fanbase hailing satan in the gameday thread..I don't feel as bad lol. Jokes aside, hope Kubiak has a quick and fast recovery.

  2. Wow, hopefully Blackmon gets his head on straight..tough to see players with this type of potential to blow it away. But in all seriousness, even if he was the poster child of good behavior...I highly doubt Blackmon would be able to showcase his talents and abilities with Gabbert "throwing" the ball. As I've said before, Gabbert needs to do the NFL, and society at large a favor and get himself sterilized.

On another related note, Goodell should just allow the Jaguars to take PED's. That way, the Jacksonville community may actually get the opportunity to see a competitive game this year. On the bright side, though, at least this team isn't playing for Houston. If that was the case, the city would probably be hosting a public crucifixion as we speak, along with burning Gabbert jerseys (for all the Texan fans/forum members reading this, this is a joke...don't take it seriously; on the other hand, if you're a Jaguar/Gabbert fan, sorry, I'm not joking whatsoever).

  3. ha, what was it, thought I saw one with Shaub playing jenga or something... didn't get a real good look...

It was probably the best avatar my eyes ever laid eyes on. You can probably find it on google, but it was the Texans' logo and another picture to the side of it. The picture to the side was...how to say this...a woman's "cockpit." And it said something like, "coincidence, I think not." It made me lololol so hard the first time I saw it..it's funny how much of a resemblance there really was. So with that being said, I'm hoping to create a blown up sign of it, so I can bring it to the Texans vs Colts game.

  4. What's weird is Luck and Kaep's 40's are like the same. That can't be right. I know 40's don't tell the whole story but Kaep has like 4.3 or 4.4 speed imo. Or maybe he got faster.

You answered your own question. A 40 time speed doesn't necessarily translate into game speed.

  5. BeyWatch, too bad the before picture wasn't real...it would be so much funnier.. haha

Hey, my picture is more real than all of the weight loss before & after pictures shown on  TV..like hydroxycut. I mean comon'...it's one thing to claim that your product will help you lose weight..but almost always, the guy in the after photo is ripped. I'm pretty sure that the hydroxycut pill won't spontaneously give you a six-pack.

  6. While I enjoy your thoughts on our WR situation (not really), we probably have around 87 other threads dealing with the same issue. So here's a new idea, can you just contribute your thoughts to an already existing thread?...Again, just to reiterate, we have around 87 other threads dealing with the same issue, so you have plenty of threads to choose from.

  7. So im thinking of how beneficial us and the packers are to have back to back franchise qbs when teams like the bucs browns jags vikings can't seem to find one and im thinking what a position the next QB is gonna be in to replace two legend and at the same time create his own legacy

Best case scenario is this: Pagano, Luck, and company retire with 5+ Superbowls to their names. Then Peyton becomes our HC, and his son, Marshall, is drafted as our next QB who WILL be a stud just like the previous 2 QB's who wore the horseshoe.

  8. you base a WR off of a defensive play?  odd... If you didnt see him dominate Roby in the OSU game, I recommend going back to that game.

I am a massive Badger fan, he does tend to dominate a lot, but he also gets injured for a game here or there.  But he really is the only weapon for the Badgers passing offense, and teams know this.... and he still beats the defense a good chunk of the time due to his route running and deceptive speed.

    I am rather biased though....

The reason why I hated his defense so much is the fact that he anticipated the ball way too early. If I recall correctly, he was already coming down in his jump as the ball passed over him. So, with that said, if he can't time his jump correctly when he's in the right position, and the  ball is essentially a gimme pick/break-up...how do you expect him to go up for a jump ball against a nfl caliber DB (or when the ball is a little high)? Again, just to reiterate, I know I shouldn't judge a player based on a sole play...I typically hate when people judge someone off of a game, let alone a play...so I really don't understand why I'm doing this to Abbs. And, I'm am probably making this a bigger deal than it actually is); however, that play rubbed me the wrong way. I walked away from that game thinking that Abb has bad instincts. And regardless of how many games I see the kid play, I can't get that one play out of my mind. As for watching Wisco, I don't watch them all too often (usually only once-twice a year). Oh yeah, I may also be judging Abbs unfairly because he's a badger. I'm not too fond of Wisco mainly due to them losing 3 straight Rose Bowls haha . True, they were the best we had those 3 years (that were eligible), but comon' man you have to represent the B1G and win at least one in Pasadena!

  9. The problem with that is the trade deadline is in 8 days if I'm not mistaken. So if we're gonna trade, don't have much time to get it done

My bad, I was thinking that the trade deadline wasn't until at least 2 weeks away. With that said, I'm confident with our group. I feel like we're going to be "overpaying" for someone like Nicks/Saudners anyways.

  10. Or here's a crazy idea: let's see if one of OUR guys can step up. I know, I know, what am I thinking. But, I mean worse case scenario, this idea doesn't pan out...and if that's the case, we can always think about a trade. Oh yeah, and you have to give it some time. I know some people on this board want to judge a player/coach based off 1 or 2 performances (example: our weekly "Get rid of xxx because he had a bad game" thread), but just give it some time. I'm sure Grigs and company will ultimately make the best decision for our franchise.

  11. Eh, I wouldn't like this pick so much. Every time I think of him, my first thought always goes to the MSU vs Wisco hail mary play where he jumped too early, which ultimately allowed MSU to catch the ball and win the game. Sure, I know I shouldn't judge a player based off one play..but that one play ruined my perception of Jared for some reason.

  12. Love this...It is the truth too, but he skirted the whole trial and being charged then acquited....No wonder he has tried to stay out of the public eye hoping people would forget about it...If Luck had him out wide Sunday night I'd like our chances better!  I wonder if he still has wheels??

If Luck had Marvin, in his prime, I would definitely like our choices better as well. As for having wheels, I doubt it. He's over 40 and has been out of the league for 3-4 years. Don't get me wrong, he's probably still pretty dang fast, but nothing like he was. Who knows though....Herschel Walker is still ripped and said his 40 time is under 4.4...and he's 50 lol.

  13. Apparently, Marvin ThugNasty Harrison is suppose to be at the game this Sunday, and that could be a great way to beat the Broncos. Anyways, Marvin, can you do a drive-by right when the Broncos' bus rolls in and bust a cap in some of the players' ***** (any player is fair game except Peyton, we love Peyton; you can also go for Elway if you want...I'm still kinda ticked about the '83 draft)? Now, I don't want you to mortally wound any of them (yes I know this is out of your nature), but just enough to take them out of action Sunday. Come on Marvy, we're counting on ya bud!

    ------

Just to clarify, this is a joke, kind of.

  14. I think one thing that a lot of people tend to overlook is DHB's blocking ability. In my opinion, he's our best blocking WR...and that is huge in our type of offense (plus, as the old saying goes, "If you want the rock, you gotta block"). Hakeem Nicks, on the other hand, would probably be a downgrade in terms of blocking ability. When you watch Nicks, for example, you rarely see him block in the open field...I'm not sure if he's just lazy or is poor technically. Furthermore, Nicks will probably want that big contract next year, so that isn't good for us. Anyways, this trade wouldn't make sense to me. It wouldn't drastically improve our team, regardless of your perspective, so why do it? Plus, why would you want to trade away one of our positions that we lack depth in and try to obtain a WR where we are relatively "healthy" in?
