  1. We were not murdered by the Texans. Two mistakes lost that game. In fact I posted in another thread, three mistakes cost us the AFC South Championship and a possible #1 or #2 seed.

If Moore had not fumbled at the 1 and we had scored a TD against the Texans, we have 24 points. If Allen makes his block, we don't have the blocked punt TD against us and the Texans lose 7 points. The final score then is 24-22 Colts.

The other mistake was the 80 yard last minute TD given up to the Jags.

Without those three mistakes, we are 13-3 and have either the #1 or #2 seed.

We got destroyed by the Pats and Jets. We got beat badly by the Bears in the first game of the season, but those are the three of our losses that we truly got beaten badly.

We were out-played by Houston. To be murdered was a long shot to be honest. But the Jets, well, I completely forgot about because I tried to wipe that nightmare from my head.

  2. Understandable. My point is that a lot of people like that logic for MVP, but not for RotY.
Right. I completely agree with everything your original post. It is a double standard. I was just tossing my two cents into the MVP discussion that was going on.
  3. I think Peterson should win, just like Chris Paul of the Clippers should have won it in the NBA. Its for the player most valuable to their team, NOT the best player as was said by Golic. Lebron winning in the NBA would be almost as much of a travesty as Peyton winning it this year. The Broncos were a playoff team with Tebow. The Vikings were 3rd overall in the draft, now in the playoffs. Peyton should win CPOY and Peterson should win MVP.

  4. What if David Tyree doesn't catch the miracle in Super Bowl XLII? Rodney Harrison breaks up the pass and the Patriots win another Super Bowl, capping their undefeated season. The Giants lose, and Tom Coughlin is eventually fired in 2008. The Giants have the 2nd to last pick in the round and New England has the last. The Patriots don't resign Kelley Washington and Jabar Gaffney, opting instead to draft Michigan WR Mario Manningham after New York trades up and selects Texas TE Jermichael Finley. Mario Manningham plays for New England in Super Bowl XLVI against San Fransisco, who defeated the New York Giants when punt returner Trindon Holliday from LSU does not fumble. Kyle Williams is drafted by Houston because they needed a WR when Kevin Walter signed with New York, who needed a true #3 receiver. Jim Harbaugh's Niners are defeated by New England for their 5th title in 12 years, when receiver Mario Manningham makes a game clinching touchdown catch. In the spring of 2012, receiver Pierre Garçon signs with SF when Manningham is resigned by New England. Following is teammate, QB Peyton Manning. After being cut, QB Alex Smith signs with Miami and the Dolphins draft WR Michael Floyd and the Cardinals are stuck without any offense at all in 2012. Tannehill goes to Buffalo, and Stephon Gilmore to Arizona.
