I want to believe that this means we are getting one of: Lance Briggs, Osi Unmenyiora or Matt Forte- That being said, the first two are wanting to be paid WAY too much for us, and Forte won't leave Chicago.

Keep Evans, Addai and Spann, along with Wayne, Garçon, Collie, Gilreath and Taj. Cut Brown and Gonzo.

Evans'/Spann's potential is waaaay higher than James'. I'd hate to give up on that potential for a below average RB with good special teams skills.
But, if (when) we do cut Evans and/or Spann I hope we can stash whoever is cut on PS.
Agreed. We need to keep Evans for his RUNNING BACK potential, and cut James for his lack there of, especially with the kickoffs coming from the 35, and so many touchbacks. Besides, Gilreath has proven to be just as goon on kick returns. Also, did anyone else notice that Evans was a beast on kick coverage? He was always the first to the returner and if he himself couldn't make the tackle, he would try to block the guy into another Colt? Darren Evans is a 2 for 1 package that this team can't afford to lose.

Darren Evans has EARNED his spot. Whether Polian awards it to him or Brown is yet to be seen. The sad part is, if we drafted him in the 7th instead of signing him as a UFA, he would be a lock. SMH. PLEASE keep Darren!!

Darren Evans!! He needs to be on our 53 man, he has such high potential!

Over, 15 1/2.
Under, 3 max.

Anyone who thinks that Manning won't play week 1 is an *. Plain and simple. We are just covering our rears, signing Kerry for insurance (possibly groom Painter, perhaps??). Personally, I see us winning the south and playing in the division round of the playoffs. Whether or not we win is entirely dependent on our opponent, but I think we'll win the south with a 13-3 record.

I still like Kellen Moore from Boise State. He will be a mid-low round guy, so he is a lower risk guy with a very high potential. If he ends up on the right team, especially if there is a veteran quarterback to groom and mentor him, I see him prospering into an eventual starter. That being said, if he goes to the wrong team, he'll never be any good.

I think we keep both, but Evans is the 3rd running back. James will be a kick return guy.

I know the exact way to beat the Texans: stop the run. I know this is much more easier said than done, but with the additions of Tommy Harris and Jamaal Anderson, we have at least improved our chances. Even if Manning doesn't play, I think that we can beat the Texans if we can stop Foster.

I voted Collins. So Painter had a single good half of a game. Collins has had a Hall of Fame career. Collins and Manning could groom Painter, but for now he needs clipboard time.

Kinda saw this coming, seeing as Collins saw an entire preseason game's half.
