I won't be on the forum much, if at all, after today until after the end of the year (I know, I know, most of you are happy about that.)

For those that celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a Merry Christmas and happy New Year and I hope you get to spend the time how you want, whether that be with friends and family or alone or traveling to exotic locations.

For that that do not celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a fun and safe holiday season.  Just remember, just because you don't celebrate Christmas does not mean you can't enjoy all the good food. :).

    Take care everyone.

Merry Christmas Coffeedrinker.  I look forward to hearing from you the next time you are around. I like your comments and sarcasm! Until next time!

Beween Leonard, walker, Adams and possibly this scales guy we could have a pretty good young linebacker squad here

Agreed, and this has been a sore spot for this defense for awhile now.

Haven't heard much on him in a while. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on Turay so far this season.

Found an article on him dressing but not playing against the Cowboys.  Interesting read.  https://www.1070thefan.com/blogs/kevins-corner/colts-coverage/colts-notebook-why-did-rookie-kemoko-turay-not-play-sunday

Makes all the sense in the world if Chris Ballard is able to get a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him. Andrew Luck is healthy and playing his best football since coming to the NFL. Brissett wants to be a starter in the NFL and as long as Andrew Luck is healthy, he won't get that opportunity in Indianapolis. I would like to see Ballard draft a QB that Luck can groom into our backup for multiple years while trading away Jacoby Brissett before he signs somewhere in 2020.  I'm not sure what Brissett's value is right now but I don't see anyone trying to trade for him before next season. (Unless there's an injury involved and the team doesn't have a dependable backup)

I love Brissett and would've loved to see him play with this offense. I believe he has all the tools to be a solid NFL starter if management places the right pieces around the guy. I would love to see Ballard get a second for him which isn't impossible.

If Ballard and Reich really do get along, with Reich's experience at back up, I'm sure they want to keep him, if he's willing.

Still too early to tell. , as these guys have to develop some more and get better. I do think so far this draft class has been just as good, if not better than NO draft class from last year. Saints got like 5 starters out of their class (Lattimore, Williams, Ramzcyk, Kamara, Anzalone), while so far we've got 4 (Nelson, Smith, Leonard, and Adams who is technically starting SLB). Lewis, Cain, Turay, all have future starting potential too, while Hines and Wilkins have their roles. The only question marks are Franklin and Fountain right now. That's pretty great.

BTW speaking of that Saints draft class, their last pick, Al Quadin Muhammad, is making some plays out of a rotational role for our Colts. That's pretty nice.

I wouldn't pencil in Cain yet, who hasn't played an NFL snap.  I do, however, hopes he is ready to go next season!

Sorry for stating the obvious here but it can’t be said enough.

Andrew is playing great football.  His command of the offense, his leadership, his decision making and his pocket movement are all elite. His accuracy has been really good as well. It seems he and the offense line are so on the same page.

We we are in a very good place with our QB!

    Go Colts

Agreed.  Lots of praise going around for the defense but Luck has been playing at a high level as well.

The Saints and Chiefs are excellent team, and they would be favorites to beat us if we played

I think that you can see, I am not saying its a LOCK to beat them......

But............  if things go right..... and we play well....... and are healthy........ BOTH are beatable

    This year.... not next

I was thinking the same thing.  If we are healthy, we can dance with anyone, perhaps.   However, we have yet, IMHO, played a team with a great QB and RB, as a test, with this outstanding defense we have right now.  All I know is this.  If the Colts make the playoffs this year, I wouldn't want to be playing them! :P

In addition to Kelly's physical abilities as a blocker, I think he makes better line calls and gets everyone in the proper position to make their blocks.

He is a true leader on that line.

Mack is interesting. He is feast or famine. Looks like all pro one week, and Trent Richardson the next

I do agree that he is not consistent at breaking tackles (from game to game).  There are some games where it looks like someone just grabs his leg with their hand and he falls.  Maybe he's playing through injury or something.  But yesterday, he looked like a beast!
