I'm posting what I saw, with my own opinions. This will take some time, so please bear with me.\
Offense 1st Series
1st play, 1st and 10, run right, 6yd. gain.
2nd play, 2nd and 4, pass to Hilton missed. Everyone was covered, coulda ran behind Nelson.
3rd play, 3rd and 4, pass to Doyle (was the only open man), and caught a first down for 9 yds.
4th play, 1st and 10, run right, Doyle let his man inside, and Miller got to Mack. (loss of 1).
5th play, 2nd and 11, run left, Mack gained a few yards to the outside. Doyle was late off the snap and his man beat him to the outside to seal off the block. (gain of 3).
6th play, 3rd and 8, pass to Rodgers got 7 yds. He missed Pascal and Hilton wide open down the field. Had plenty of time to throw.
7th play, 4th and 1, missed field goal.Offense 2nd Series
8th play, 1st and 10, starting at close to 10 yard line (backed up), run to left side for 10+ yd. gain.
9th play, 1st and 10, corner blitz, instead of going to the receiver, he went to Mack, but still gained 14 yrds. Good play.
10th play, 1st and 10, everyone was covered, and Jacoby took off running to his left. After he started running, he had Doyle wide open on his left for an easy first down. Gain of 6yds.
11th play, 2nd and 4, Mack runs to the left, got bottled up inside, loss of 1.
12th play, 3rd and 5, looks like a LB blitz to JB's left, which left Campbell uncovered. Also Doyle was open but pressure got there quick.
13th play, 4th and 9, 51 yd. punt, 2 yd. return.Play 10

I stand corrected, it was Castanzo who was late off the snap, but it was Doyle who didn't turn his guy inside. However, there was a LB coming in to fill the gap, so it might have been a moot point anyways.

If you can add screen grabs that would be really helpful when doing play breakdowns.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see if I can figure that out. I'm having trouble with pasting images in here. TEST > https://ibb.co/FVdSJkF

Offense 3rd Series
14th play, 1st and 10, TY was open down field, but JB ran for yds. instead. Everyone else was covered.
15th play, 2nd and 4, Mack run right, Mo Allie-Cox didn't seal his guy from the outside to force him in, which caused Mack to turn in, and V. Miller made a great play. Loss of 1.
16th play, 3rd and 5, pass incomplete, forced to Ebron. Hilton was covered, but Pascal was wide open. Looks like he was staring down Ebron the entire way.
17th play, 4th and 5, 54 yd. punt. Sanchez doing good so far!- 1

Its obvious we need some real receivers.
I think we just need to keep feeding our TEs. It was working, then we stopped.

Ok, my friend, here's my prediction:
I predict that when the Colts / Broncos game is over, all of the Denver fans will have a greater appreciation for Jacoby Brissett's abilities than you.
It's like predicting the sun will rise in the east. ..... An easy slam dunk!
I live just east of Denver and I haven't met one Bronco fan who is not impressed with Brissett.

Nah. We'll run the ball, pass on occasion. Denver's D is legit, but we can overcome it.

Correct on Peyton, not even debatable no QB is capable of doing more with less. Mahomes possibly but needs to prove it. I think after watching our game againt the chiefs it ahowed Mahomes can be rattled by pressure.
Don't get me wrong, I love me some PM, and he would be my choice as well, but even HE can get rattled by pressure. Do you remember the SuperBowl loss to the Seahawks?

He was a 6th round pick but a gamble pick at that and he is awful.
Has he dropped passes? What makes him awful? I've seen him draw a few PI calls, and have seen some bad balls thrown his way. Just curious.

The win over the chiefs was huge for our chances at the two seed and now that mahomes is hurt, hopefully they take a few more Ls. Its looking like us vs the ravens for the two seed
Although not for the number 2 seed, but I believe Baltimore was in the mix with us last year in the standings as well, IIRC.

I am more excited about the return of Hooker. We get to see how good Willis and Hooker are together finally
I remember once upon a time, when both Geathers and Hooker were hurt, and they were both returning to the game, how excited I was. I hope it's like that, except this time with Hooker and Willis.

Sheard is 100% effort and smarts. He has cleaned up containment on his side and makes a difference when they move him inside.
The guy earns his $$$.Wasn't he another gift from the Patriots? Albeit F/A and not trade, right?

It's not only the Texans DL that's good against the run...
Cunningham and McKinney are amongst the best run stopping ILBs in the league.
I remember one play to the left, I think it was the 4th down play, where whoever hit Mack, it was like a bullet coming his way...no chance to move forward. They played the run D very well, not many holes.

The Colts kept Mahomes off the field with long sustained drives. Their first possession today was 12 plays eating up 97 yards. I don't know if it is Reich's game strategy but I don't think we will see a lot of long balls this year. His game plans are working although his going for it on fourth down I would prefer not to see much more of that. Today he did it and gave Texans the ball in Colts territory. Luckily, they could only score a FG. Intentionally risking giving up possession is worse than a fumble or INT.
The thing about that call, is that it WAS bad, and he owned it. Glad to see him owning his mistakes, and better to have a mistake in a win.

what about the TD they got when they should have been called for an illegal shift, or not resetting?
it sounds like a petty call, but that play went for a TD and should have been flagged
That's fair. I guess it all evens out in the end.

A few things about this.
I believe it was the correct call, they have blown plays dead on the QB when he was stopped for less than Watson.
Two, I don't think the TD would have stood up after replay. Hopkins never established control of the ball before it was knocked out.
Had the TD stood it would have been a 4 point difference, Houston lost by 7. Now with chaos theory, we know that everything else would not have played out exactly the same if the circumstances were different, I don't think the extra 4 points would have mattered in the end.
I can see your second point, but I'm just saying, playing devil's advocate, if that whistle happened to Brissett on the same type of play, people would be LIVID around here. Correct call or not. Still, what a great game to watch yesterday. The nice thing is, there is STILL room for improvement, and we had a great game. With a 21-9 lead it would have been nice to bury them. With that said, it was fun to watch!

Watson was in the grasp of a Colt player. This was the correct call.
Is this a recent rule change? I remember plenty of times McNabb and Rothlisberger making great plays with people at their feet.
-
The elephant in the room: the TD they took away from Watson. That was nonsense and we'd be having a forum meltdown if it happened to us AND we lost. Glad we came out on top. Great game by the Colts!

We didn't hear a peep out of most of the secondary tonight.
Which is exactly what you want to hear out of a secondary.
The defense is maturing at a breakneck pace. Full credit to Reich and Eberflus.
I posted this observation in another thread but we are very VERY stingy about surrendering leads. I think at this point we've done it once all year, twice if you count giving up a tying score. That's a great job done by our D and the secondary in particular
Re: giving up leads, and I'll preface this by saying this is VERY nitpicky, but I wish when we were passing in the 4th qtr. our recievers would have stayed in bounds to keep the clock moving. That is the difference between good and great teams. As far as MVP, we are a balanced team, so it doesn't seem likely. But he played lights out today. I'm still on that Brissett train!!

Is this a good or bad thing? Could it mean he's not pushing the ball down the field as much? Need more context. Also, how many fumbles has he lost?
