"I had a crush on her back in the day!" --RR7
Donna was definitely the whole package: Brains, beauty, & that voice...Wow!
It's a shame Miss Summer is gone now. Her "Last Dance" or time on this planet was far too short indeed. It still upsets me that she wasn't inducted into the Rock N Roll HOF before she passed away. That's just wrong on so many levels.

Do you all have any plans for Valentine's? Nothing fancy here. Just hanging out with family. Just an "ordinary" day for a single gal!

Actually Jules, men like it when women are precise in their suggestions or polite commands. We hate ambiguity & need wives & girlfriends to draw their significant others a picture. A clear, fool proof picture.
It's not that we are foolish. We just like hints which prevent us from getting in trouble with gift giving. It saves time & hinders arguments over rants like do you even know me?! Guys like fill in the blanks women & our partners feel better knowing that our girlfriends will be happy & content in the long run. Everybody wins.

We interrupt albeit briefly over on the Disco to remember the Day the Music Died 59 years ago. And remember Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and JP "The Big Bopper" Richardson. Plus the forgotten victim, pilot Roger Peterson

No, no, no, we're not done with Buddy yet, Let's "Not Fade Away" into the sunset just yet...
I love the percussion playing in this live version as well as the 'bop, bop; bop, bop' chorus refrain.
"Learning The Game" of love & life is never easy. Sigh....Is there a cliff notes version? Ah man.
The Bluejays dazzle us with Buddy Holly mainstays once again. I like it!

This is vintage 1950's rockabilly guitar playing by Mar T Music.
Reminiscent of Buck Owens stuff & the Bakersfield, CA sound actually.
I really like the emotional intensity of this cover of "Everyday" sung by Amelia Wallace.
Buddy Holly rest his soul would be moved by this tribute because it's just so authentic & stripped down.

That "Hustle" song is very catchy JPPT. I've heard it before. I just didn't know who the artist was until now.
An excellent selection my friend! You are a master at disco set lists BTW.
I'd add more songs to your status update, but I'm not as well versed in this genre as you.
Keep em coming amigo...

In February will be in the starting to show up Disco music. As if you have requests let me know. To bring the era of that time back a bit.

Remember the late great David Bowie and Glenn Fry. Two years ago!

If you are a fan of the Di*k Van * show, another cast member besides Mary Tyler Moore has passed. Rose Marie at 94 yesterday. Leaving Van * the only living surviving member. May she RIP!
