Any plans for Easter you all? My brother and brother in law as firemen have to work on Sunday. Duty calls. Celebrating today with family.

Any plans for Father's Day? My father's birthday and Father's Day BTW, are about on the same day. He does not like it. Just going to have family over for a BBQ. As dad loves everything and anything BBQ. He never met a BBQ he never liked LOL!

It is a good idea to pay homage to our fathers out there even the one's who departed too early. Fathers don't often get praised for their contributions enough I'm afraid. Dad's typically have a unique way of looking at things.
I get my sarcasm from my old man & you better be careful what you ask him because odds are he's going to be blunt, refreshingly honest, & tell you what he really thinks as opposed to what you want to hear.

I lost my dad 2 years ago. Gathered with my family and went to the remembrance mass, then to dad's marker and read from his favorite book 2 weeks ago on the anniversary of his passing. We had a memorial breakfast after that. The world has changed since he left
My husband is working on Sunday as he always does, luckily he has the early shift and will be home in time for dinner. My daughters are coming up. Not sure what the dinner plans are. I expect it will be unreasonably hot as it has been so, anything cold and inside is ok by me

Anybody been giving a speeding ticket? Was not giving one until Monday Night going 54 mph in a 35 mph. And really makes me now cautious on not speeding.

I have had 2 in my life. Last one I had was in 2008, so it's been 10 years ago. I was going 82 in a 70 MPH on the interstate. State Police got me. The guy came up on me chewing on a toothpick with thick dark sunglasses on. He was young so I knew I was screwed. The other one I got, I was in Highschool, just got my license. That was a 57 in a 40. That was back in 1989.

Luckily, I've never be busted for speeding by the police. I probably just jinxed myself by saying that now. Never tempt fate folks. She does not have a sense of humor as all.
Sorry to hear about your ticket JPPT. That's an expensive lesson we all would like to avoid. Not a reflection on you at all. God knows, I got away with a few highway infractions that I probably shouldn't have in the past. Hang in there my friend.

Anybody going to watch the Oscars on Sunday? Really hope it is all about entertainment and nothing more or less than that.

I will check out who won though when it's over. I still can't believe Johnny Depp did not get nominated a year ago for Black Mass. I mean what the hell? Thats when I lost interest. I often see some film or performance and it gets snubbed.
I know this year they will probably give most of the awards to "Manchester by the Sea" anyway.

No worries. I know the Oscars is a long ceremony that usually runs close to 4 hours on average. I don't think Hollywood was ready to embrace a MOB flick this yr, but I agree with you Johnny Depp gave a solid performance in "Black Mass."
I'm still miffed that "Captain Fantastic" walked away with no golden statues at all. Actor Viggo Mortensen gave a tremendous performance in that flick & he definitely got shafted by the Academy this February IMO. I still think of him as Strider from "The Lord Of The Rings" trilogy, but I digress.

Good one GFB! When the teacher what can you tell me about the milky way? I raised my hand & said "it's a decent candy bar but the caramel always sticks to my teeth though."
Remember: F stands for Fantastic & A stands for Awful. At least, that's what I kept telling my folks at parent/teacher conferences on my behalf anyway.

Anybody that grew up in the 1980's heard of in the Generation X for "Schoolhouse Rock" on ABC TV. For those that are not familiar with it, it is about songs with educational purposes. Back during simple times...oh well!

80's was my favorite decade. I was born in 1971, so I grew up during the 80's. Graduated High School in 1989. I remember the Commadore 64 and all the great video games that it had - the good ol floppy disk, when it came out in mid 80's everyone had to have one. 80's music and movies are the best too. From Magic vs Bird, to the 49ers and Montana, that was a fun decade + we got the Colts in 1984. The above gif is Mr T in the 'A' team.
