  1. I don't think it hurts him long term... with the following possible exceptions... if he performs poorly in
TC or preseason and others pass him, and what the specific drug violation was....  A precription drug or such for ADD is one thing, stupid as it is.....  Mary Jane or other recreation drug shows an increased level of stupidity, lack of maturity and lack of self discipline.    The Colts know the violation and either of those issues could get you cut.

Bad year for  young WR to get suspended.....  GO COLTS

  2.

Apologies.......     here is a MUCH easier to read list.....   The changes will be much more obvious!

    Enjoy!

WOW;   The other that jumps out to me is how YOUNG we are, look at those ages.  Or, maybe I am just old like my name and everyone seems young.....  Go Colts!

  3. How can he have a slump when he threw a lot of interceptions and got sacked/hit as much as he did?

I see his numbers going UP.

I think what people like to believe when it comes to "slump" is the win total and no more late game magic. So IMO they might be speaking of more of a "team slump" and we drop under 11 wins. And it's a fair argument.

Personally I see our team getting better as a whole this season and winning less comeback/cardiac style games and winning more "cleanly" if that makes sense. I am sure we might have a few of those rabid comebacks but I see us improving as a road team and improving more as a balanced squad.

It was a bit of a helter skelter season at times with a team full of nothing but heart and low expectations heading in. Deep down I like to think they will go from "Win for Chuck" to "Win with Chuck." :)

Also I think a lot of people who are not Colts fans are almost hoping we slip up this year and prove that 2012 was some sort of fluke. :) Doesn't matter what they think though. ;) I think Chuck will have them ready to rumble all year ;)

    Great post, exactly right!

  4. I am a lifetime Colts fan from back in the Baltimore days in the mid fifties but the only class Jim Irsay represents in my mind is third class. The way he treated Peyton Manning only enforced that image in my mind. It is catching up with him. He no longer has a waiting list for season tickets. I will agree with you that he was smart enough to get out of the football business and let experts run the team.

And exactly which Manning/Irsay meeting did you sit in on?  You worry about the dirty birds in Baltimore; feel free to forget the Colts and something that happened 29 years ago... and we promise to forget you.

  5. He's got major downsides.  Scouts picked him apart.  Let's be real, this kid will not even sniff 2nd string.  Doubt he makes the team.  Nothing to get excited about when you're talking about UFA.  There are hundreds and hundreds of scouts looking over every one of these kids' every move.  Don't think for a minute someone got under the radar at this level and this year, where technology allows us to know if his left index finger is longer than his right.  Doesn't happen. But I do hope he makes it in the CFL or some amateur league football somewhere.

You probably would have said the same thing about some unknown ol player named Saturday, but he didn't turn out so bad....

  6. That say Erik walden was the worse pick up in free agency. I do agree because we need a guy who can play the run AND rush the passer. I hope we draft one

How do they know, how does anyone know.... they haven't played a down for the Colts or in the Colts system.  Tell them to come back next year and we can discuss.

  7. Nice. I know we have draft picks to go yet but we're in good shape.

I'm wondering if Grigs keeps below the 90% in order to have more room for Luck when his time comes?

Don't think so, i believe the new CBA requires teams to spend either 90 or 95% of the cap every year in player compensation.

  8. I like him, but he don't have any experience

Neither did Sorgi... but he still held the clipboard just right!  Harnish is just fine....if you can find an veteran cheap, maybe bring him to camp....but I like Harnish and what he showed last preseason....

  9. It's barely over 5 mil for crying out loud. This forum is getting comical with the feeding frenzy of whiny complaintents. One person says something bad and here come the sharks. This is a good signing and will help our D. I can't wait till next season when all these guys pan out and all the whiners are here acting like they knew it all along. Good grief!!!

Well put......they whine if you do and whine if you don't.  This is another Team player with a huge upside that will be shown this year along with the other signings. Meanwhile several of the big names that went elsewhere will flop.  Grigson knows what he is doing, and we haven't even got to the draft yet.  We are BUILDING THE MONSTER for sure!

  10. If we sign Ricky tomorrow, where do we go in the draft, Alot of us had us taking a Cb or a Dl player at 24. Like I said, if we get Ricky, will we still take a Dl player to fill the middle or where do we go. I think our secondary is set really. To me we still need oline help and at least 1 wr. What do you guys think we will do or who do you have us taking now

    OL and Depth.....quality depth

  11. What a letdown

Sad???? How can you be "Sad".  If you are a true Colts fan; you have a team that went from 2-14 to 11-5.  a Qb that has just started to get used to the NFL.   More important you have a GM who refuses to go for splash, but for hungry team players with big upsides at a reasonable cost.  You want to be sad, go be a fan of the Jaguars or better yet the Browns.  the Browns got the big splash names, wanna bet who has a better record.... the Colts or the browns this season, next season, next 10 years!

  12. I can't wait till they come to an agreement. That will be just 1 less WR that won't need to be constantly brought up in about every other thread.

I can't wait till they come to an agreement. That will be just 1 less WR that won't need to be constantly brought up in about every other thread.

Good point.... Here it is 3:14 pm and no one has started a thread about Charles Woodson, POSSIBLY being released by the packers and shouldn't we run out and sign him!  So tired of all these folks wanting to sign everyone else's leftovers.  if they aren't good enough for their current team they certainly aren't good enough for a young, growing monster like the Colts!

  13. I'm still of the opinion that Grigson's mindset is going to be that he's not going to spend cash just because he has it. Ballard did fine for us last year and that cash could be better spent on an O-line to improve Ballard's production. Bradshaw is constantly injured and sees $3 mil annually. Bradshaw ran for 200 more yards than Ballard with more carries and a better O-line, but still doesn't warrant paying out that kind of cash in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Steelers pick him up.

    Well said.....
