Since I'm betting my savings, what games are the Colts safe bets to win? Don't get me wrong, I'm hopeful that this thing is turning around, but W's aren't going to be coming easy. The Bills? The Raiders.. maybe. If this team wins 9 games, it's because Andrew is only slightly less awesome than Aaron Rodgers.

Think Luck will have to be MORE Awesome the Rodgers to hit 9 wins.... 7 wins will be a struggle.  This team is very young and a long way to go and CB isn't likely to give them any help.  Still can't stop the run and he cut the best run stopper we had here in years, and CB signed him to do just that the year before....

Did Simon, really carry our D last year?

Along with Hankins, sad as our defense was (is)..... he played as well as anyone we have currently.  And Hankins, we don't need a run stopper on this team, we have lots of them, so let's cut him too.

    Agreed...ColtsForged means nothing. That's why I don't like it.

Right...only thing it shows is part of the Colts (foot protection) getting pounded by others; we will likely see enough of that this year on the field.

  4. Ben's Gals 31.... Colts 17...  unfortunately it looks like it is going to be a long season...again.  disappointed no RB or real WR added, youth can only help so much.  God help us if we have any injuries.  But it is football finally and Lucas Oil is a great place to go on a Sunday afternoon.

Ya I agree with you. His drafts have been disappointing and his FA signings have been... meh... on top of that he cut one of our top 3 defenders from last year and let our best CB walk.

It is his FA signings that really are discouraging.  OK, so he doesn't want to spend money on the names, at least ones he does bring in should be something more then bodies, which the bulk of them have been seemingly.  As far as the draft it is too early, but it all adds up to a very long season this year and maybe next.  Meanwhile the Luck career is ticking away.

  6. To Dez or not to Dez......... either way I don't think the Colts will "go far" this year, maybe...maybe next year.  Too many holes and questions right now and 8 - 8 may be optimistic and certainly not take them to the playoffs....  but I do think Reich will make the Colts "Great Again" in time...

  7. Mine was definitely the call on the interception by Marlin and the Lamey call.  I was at the game and honesty thought the RCA Dome might implode....  I was in the upper deck and it was moving with everyone jumping up and down.  I actually had that as my ringtone for years.  still gives me goosebumps......  "We're going to the Super Bowl"

  8. A running game that is average or less is not what Luck needs as he works his way back... teams will continue to disrespect the run and load up to stop and hit Luck.  OL will have to be great for our QB to survive until the Colts find a ground game....

Clearly it wasn't something our last coaching staff did. They didn't even have the common sense to scout our own offensive tendencies, so pop quizzing the players was likely a very foreign concept.

Probably because they didn't know it or understand it....

Outside of Doyle and Ebron we had 3 converted basketball players ( Swoope, Travis and Cox), a converted WR (Daniels) and a converted QB who was the one that lost his spot - Vander Laan.

I assumed we'd pick up an inline blocker at some point and here he is.

Would be nice to see a WR.... got all these TE's but a few outside guys for competition would be helpful

  11. Couldn't expect much more......  outside of Indy, there is still a lot of doubt that Luck will return or return at a level anywhere near where he was before..... and a lack of FA's to fill even a few holes , other than cheap depth; that leaves 11 draft picks to turn the team around....  we probably should be #32....  until CB and the coaches prove otherwise...

I predict 8-8. This roster still has a lot of holes. Some of the draft picks will not pan out. The injury bugs will eat away at what little depth we do have. Another draft+ spending some FA money next year will make us the surprise team of 2019.

And oh yeah, Nelson is a probowler in his rookie season

Agree with all except the record... Colts go 6 - 10..6th pick in he draft

He must be an *.  There is no way we are the worst team in the league, we didnt have Luck all season and a porous offensive line and still won 4 games. IF Luck plays the whole season that is worth 8 wins off the bat

Let's see who finishes better, the Browns or the Colts....  the Colts will have their hands full....  Colts win 6 and the browns will be right there too... as far as blown leads, we supposedly had one of if not the easiest schedule last year too...  will make for an interesting season, but long.
