  1. I still cannot believe we have not signed him yet. Why not just get it over with, get him a playbook and get going. Everyone and their mother knows we are not taking anybody but Luck. It has been that way since we secured the first overall pick.

It's been that way since we were about 0-5 ;)

  2. Completely agree. Lets start focusing on what we're gonna do with the 2-7 round picks. And possible brew up some trades that will benefit us if there are still teams wanting Freeney.

    Get Luck Signed!!!

I agree, he should be signed yesterday.

But even though he is not, it does not mean that they are not "focusing" on rounds 2-7. In fact, I am sure they are since #1 overall is a done deal.

  3. It would probably be more alarming than interesting.

First tweet; "Can't get leprechaun to confess. Where is the gold, simple question! That UPS uniform isn't fooling me, tell me what you know. I've killed so many leprechauns and they often confess but it never leads me to their gold. They are a tricky race. Always snooping around pretending to be delivering packages".

    Oh, taking Luck, are we?

    Very clever :)

  4. I was watching highlights of RGIII this morning. It looks to me like he is strong, yes. He can throw it far.

But those completions were mostly blown coverages that I saw. He will have fewer of those in the NFL.

I also saw a lot of incompletions on things like 15 yard outs. I really don't care as much about how far a QB can throw. Russell could throw it a mile!!! RGIII also did not run a pro style offense and He didn't seem to drive his body through his throws. Some of that was because of pressure, but not always.

Luck looks deadly accurate to me and that's what I am looking for.

  5. OK - I am not a college ball scout by any means and I admit I just started watching RGIII highlights.

But it seems to me that his mechanics are not fine tuned and he is not running a pro-style offense.

He does look very strong and obviously has a little more running threat than Luck. Is there something that I am missing here?

Seems like Luck should be signed, sealed, delivered. Not even a question.

  6. I have been warming to the idea of Luck for months now (Since about 0-6). I am at the point where I have psyched myself up for the kid, ready to support him as he matures into whatever he will become.

If they pick RGIII (who I have not watched play) it's going to take some serious emotional energy to get hyped up again. You just hope that releasing Manning doesn't turn out to be the dumbest move ever in hindsight - I am hoping Luck is the reason behind that.

  7. I'm not renewing this year...why?

I got on the list when I was divorced and had a kid half the time. Now I am married with three kids. We either ditch the kiddos or buy more seats. And buying more seats is just way to expensive. 2 was taxing enough.

Plus I live in Louisville, so it is also, like mentioned above, a cost to value ratio that I am no longer willing to pay.

I enjoyed it and would like to do it again in the future, just not now.

It REALLY doesn't have anything to do with Manning, just a coincidence. I am excited to see the new direction of the club and the development of a young QB.
