Is that what Irsay told you we are going to pay Freeney close to 20 million to keep fans happy yeah right lol what else did he say...
Agree.
I think with all we unloaded this season, keeping a guy at 19 Million to keep fans happy is a stretch!

Don't know if he is the answer, but it's good that they are obviously aware that the line is an issue.
I think our season will live and die by the OL.

Was it ever open when Peyton was the QB? I don't remember it being open once for him.
Longshot but seems like it's a new era type thing
Yes, it was open for Peyton most definitely.
2009 home opener, 2009 4th and 2 come to mind.
-
Soooooo, it's the line?
-
He signed.

I do realize this it means nothing, but it shows what we thought (most of us) we are improving...and quickly!
# 25!!!

It makes the game a little hard to watch, to me..but I'm never there so maybe there's something I'm missing./
To someone who is: Elaborate..i'm not being critical....
How does the roof being open make the game more enjoyable for the fans?
I like outside football on a nice day.

Homer pick, all the way!
-
It's open for the fans, not as an advantage.
The shadows are janky, though.

Colts - 29
Jags - 20

Wow. Not what I was expecting from Peyton. However, I was playing him in fantasy so...I won!
Would like to see better from him. I like Peyton but I have "moved on". He is not my QB anymore. I appreciate what he did, but it helps to confirm that Irsay made the right decision.

Don't think so.

"@mchappell51: #colts pagano: dwight freeney out with ankle injury"
"@mchappell51: #colts pagano: someone has to step up with freeney out."
Who do you think will play in his position?
Hughes.
This is not good.

Yea! Louisville back in Indy market!
-
How is it mistreatment?
It's not - see my post above.
-
I would take Luck over most QBs in the league.
-
eh an argument can be made for Jerry Hughes at that spot
Not until he gets some REAL reps where causes some havoc to the other teams' offense.
-
in order...
1. Mistreating of Peyton Manning
2. Mistreating of Marvin Harrison
3. Mistreating of Bob Sanders
4. Mistreating of Marshall Faulk
5. Mistreating of Edgerrin James
6. Letting go of a slew of talented players in 2012 (Garcon, Saturday, Clark, Addai etc.)
there are many more mistreatment of players we did, but these are on the top of my list.
Please elaborate.
How were these guys mistreated, again?
For the record -
1. An unhealthy Manning due $28 million. Andrew Luck also available.
2. Injury
3. Ummmm, WHAT? They could build and staff a clinic just to treat this one guy.
4. What?
5. How was an old and slowing RB looking for a payday mistreated?
6. Garcon - overpaid dropsy, Saturday, old and losing strength, Clark - 10 year vet with freak injuries lately, Addai - I think we wanted more than 10-12 games out of our #1 back.

this right here is our 1st!!!! priority!!!
remember when we drafted Peyton and the following year drafted James? This transformed our team.
we need to do the same exact thing again. And I dont mean get average Joe RB's like Addai, I am talking about guys like Faulk and James, elite class RB that can create and have athletic ability to do great even with a horrific O-line.
If you look at Faulk and James rushing stats your head will spin. This was all done with weak and pathetic O-lines thoroughout their tenures with Colts.
It could be done mates.
A stud running back is a LOW priority. Our line is pathetic. It's not bad, it's abysmal. With a good line, Brown would look like a Pro Bowl RB.
Look at what Rhodes and Addai did when James' line was intact. We ran the ball very effectively. When Polian figured OL was easily replaceable with low-end/UDFA guys, our running game faltered.
I would blame the 2008 PO loss to the Chargers on this. We had a chance to ice the game with one first down. We went with an empty backfield on 3rd down. An empty freakin' backfield!
Our RB gets blown up in the backfield these days. He doesn't fail to hit the hole, he doesn't even get to that part.
I would be livid if we draft a RB early in 2013!

Was going to post a similar topic. The Bear's pass rush/D is looking great this year!

Colts 29
Vikes 20

27/40 2 TD 1 INT 315 yards.

I'm
Pretty sure we've all been petrified of our offensive line all summer.
I'm MORE scared of the line now than I was this summer. And I was worried then.
Dose Anyone Have a good Feeling About Hughes This Year?

I don't take offense to it, allow me.
Hughes has 8 starts (for five different teams) and has sacked the QB every time he dropped back to pass.
He also has 12 strip sacks.
Oh, and a receiving TD.
