While I'm an Andrew Luck fan and don't want to get rid of him in any way, I am starting to wonder if he wasn't a little over-rated out of the gate. It's so hard to say with our less than stellar roster across the board, but I'm starting to feel about Andrew Luck the same way I feel about Paul George of the Pacers. Very good players that will always be on the fringe of elite, but not quite elite. Not players that can carry a franchise, but could possibly win you a title if you put other stars around them. This team could be so much better and should be so much better if not for GM/ coaching. You just can't whiff on that many picks and FA's.

Luck has outperformed Manning up to this point in their careers, but lets just ship him out. It's all his fault. Nothing to do with the coach, GM, and owner that has no clue.

Just wondering.......As soon as I heard the decision come down, I knew the writing was on the wall. Irsay made a huge mistake. Let me know which side of the fence you fell on at the time Irsay was making the decision. I felt like Pagano was brought here to be a defensive guru and he did very little to earn a second chance. Part of that was on Grigson which is why both of them should have been fired. Now we can only hope Irsay wakes up and sees the error of his ways.

Irsay happened. The writing was on the wall with the decision to retain Grigson and Pagano. As soon as I heard the news, I knew how this was going to go. No way either one of those guys should have got a second chance. They didn't earn it.

All is right with the world again...

Why? Aren't we like 2nd in the league in attendance or something? Also, it's not a hop, skip, and jump drive from St. Louis to Indy. It's a long haul.

Fans are taking after the Bengals players.

Cut ties now. He was great in his day, but there are a lot of receivers who could do better right now.

Fleener needs to go, too awkward not tough enough, likes to go out of bounds a lot and not want to fight for the extra yard or so.....Expendable.
I liked that twice. I think we need better options at both TE positions.
-
Why do we always go to the well of the Ravens and Eagles? I wonder.....haha! Don't know much about this guy......just sayin.
-
Ready for new option at TE. Neither one thrill me, but Allen can't stay on the field. Ditch AJ. At this point there are tons of receivers who can do a better job. He was so disappointing this season. O-line goes without saying. Not sure I trust Grigson to find them though.

Irsay seems to view this mediocre season as an anomaly. A combination of slow start, bad luck and injury. I view it more as a combination of bad roster moves and questionable coaching and game planning. With the division slowly starting to get better, I think Irsay is in for a rude awakening the next couple years barring Grigson hitting a series of homeruns this off season. Doubt that's going to happen. This was the chance to start fresh across the board as Andrew nears his big money/prime portion of his career. Irsay better hope he got this right.
-
Why would Irsay want to allow a toxic relationship to continue? That's the most baffling thing. I think it's past the point where Grigs and Pagano can just smile and mend all the bridges that have been burnt.
-
If Irsay keeps both, I think I just totally lost my faith in this franchise.
-
Only way this makes sense is if Grigs is gone...

I like the Saturday idea, but not crazy about Pagano staying unless we write up a contract that gives us an out if he doesn't produce. Still not sold on Pagano being a good enough coach to get the team prepared to come out of the gate quick, make in game adjustments and match wits with the name coaches.

The only thing saving us from that is the Rooney rule. Makes it tougher to quickly pull off.
If we let him go, Chuck will not be jobless for long.
I thought Chuck was done with coaching if he isn't coaching here? I personally think he will take another job as well.

Now local news is saying a presser within next 90 minutes. Who knows?

Clean house. Expectations were not met on all fronts over the last 4 years or so. 11-5 seasons are deceiving. Our division is so pathetic it was practically an automatic 6 wins every season. Colts teams constantly come out unprepared and fall into a big hole that even Luck has a hard time digging out of. Pagano's record vs good teams is not good at all. The fact that Chuck was brought in to be a "defensive guru" coach and our defense has been mediocre at best for most of his tenure is the final straw.
I think everybody knows the friction in the Grigson/Pagano relationship and Grigson's questionable moves are well documented. Andrew Luck's health alone is a good reason to ditch Grigson. Grigson is just not the "scouting guru" that he was touted as when hired. If he was Andrew wouldn't be watching from the sidelines.

All that link says is the meeting was scheduled for this Morning. Which we knew about last night, nothing about 4 P.M. I've searched everywhere for that, Colts.com would have that information by now I would think.. Right?
I finally found it. You have to click on the video on the Colts section. There is a female reporter talking from the Colts press room. She says somewhere around 4PM.

Clean house Jim. Don't just go halfway. Expectations were not met all across the board.
Cowherd Says Hire Nick Saban And Give Him Complete Control / Could Nick Saban Depart for the NFL Next Year? (Merge)

Cowherd just talked about the Colts today and how he doesn't like the coach, GM, or even owner. He says the answer is to throw big money at Saban and give him complete control because the coaching pool of the NFL just isn't there at this point. He said Saban would be a better talent evaluator on the college level for the next 4 or 5 years. Thoughts? I don't know how you ditch an owner, but maybe he thinks Irsay would be willing to step back on control. Of course this is the same Colin Cowherd who predicted the Colts would be 12-4 this season. I do think he has a point though. To get any of the college coach studs, you probably need to give them some extra incentive more than just a coaching job.
