I love this draft.
Our 2 main needs coming in: Pass rusher and guard. We filled both of those with our first 2 picks. Which, if you haven't read my past posts Hugh Thornton is probably my favorite pick thus far.
Needed depth at safety, got it. Needed depth at RB & a kick returner, got it.
Also added depth to both oline (Holmes) and dline (Montori).
-
Todd McShay just said he is the fastest RB in the draft and could be impact player in returning kicks and can catch the ball out of the backfield.
-
Needed a RB, like it.
-
10 career interceptions at Oregon, 1 for a TD.
Safety depth was needed.
-
Save it from what?
This draft has been fine thus far IMO.
Oh and I don't think we need a WR.
-
I don't see TE as a need. We've got Allen, Fleener, Saunders. However, I wouldn't be shocked if we got one.
I think we need to add another safety & RB as well.
-
Did we lose any pick this year?
Don't think so. I think we just lost next years 4th rounder.
-
We are absolutely flushed with DTs lol.
Chapman, Aubrayo Franklin, McKinney, Martin Tevaseu, Drake Nevis, and now Hughes.
Hughes 6'4' 340 lbs.
-
Then maybe we should have gotten a backup tackle. We do not need 3 centers unless we plan on releasing satele. Pray we are that lucky
Holmes also plays guard.
You being upset with this pick, given your username, is hilarious to me.

Werner was a great pick in that it fills our need for a pass rusher to go along with Mathis.
The Thornton pick is great and will be proven next year, BOOK IT. Plus fills a HUGE need.
The Holmes pick is interesting, but oline depth is NEVER a bad thing.
-
Why is everyone so fixated that we must get a WR? I don't think we need another one.
Wayne, DHB, Hilton, Brazill, Whalen, Kelley.
The first 4 produced last year and will be big this upcoming year. Whalen was a beast in pre season last year before his injury and Grigson & Pagano has said multiple times that they love what they saw from him. Kelley is a big WR and I'm curious to see what he can do.
-
Hmm, interesting. Didn't expect it really. We have Shipley/Satele for center. However, depth on the oline is never horrible.
-
I was skeptical at first during free agency, but now I'm liking what I see. I think we have successfully filled all our needs.
Now, with the rest of the draft we just need to add some solid depth.
-
To all those that wanted Barrett Jones: he was just taken by the Rams.

I'm holding out hope that we land Lattimore as Mr. Irrelevant!
I don't think he falls that far, but you never know...
-
I'm still intrigued by RB Marcus Lattimore. Before his injury he was a top 10 pick in this draft. If we selected him he may not play this year, but that'd be fine. We'd have Ballard, Brown, Carter. Brown is in his last year of his contract and then Lattimore fills in for Brown the following year.
Or we can go with the safer option and get RB Stepfan Taylor from Stanford.

LOVE this pick!

Luck, Wayne, Mathis for sure.
Bethea, Hilton questionable at best (not many people really know about Hilton yet and Bethea is in competition with some greats still playing safety).
I doubt kickers/punters make it, but McAfee is easily top 3 punter in the league.
-
Now it's time to add depth. With our remaining 4 picks I look for us to get: CB, S, ILB, RB.
-
I think with our last 4 picks we add depth to: CB, S, ILB, RB.
-
Don't know exactly who it is or when these positions will be drafted but IMO...
The Colts have 4 draft picks left and now I think they'll be specifically used for depth (as needs seem to have been filled).
My guesses as to positions we draft tomorrow for depth: CB, ILB, S, RB.
-
It was. Guard & a pass rusher was our top needs.
Could have told you this before the draft (in fact, I was!)
-
After looking at some videos and 'expert' opinions I'm absolutely in love with this pick. Can't say it enough.
Castonzo, Thomas, Shipley/Satele, Thornton, Cherilus.
So much more improved than last year!

He's #72, seems to be playing tackle.
From watching this game, I LOVE this pick.
Mr. Irrelevant is Justice Cunningham

This doesn't have anything to do with Fleener.
Adds depth. Cunningham is versatile & Pep Hamilton loves using TEs.
