  1. Trent seems to let his mouth write a lots of checks that his butt can't cash.

He was gonna put up 1500 yards last season, didn't happen. He was gonna turn it on for the last 4 games of the season, didn't happen. He was gonna jump in the Dawg Pound when he scored, didn't happen.

His mouth seems to have no problem moving unless someone wants him to take some personal accountability, then it moves less then his legs do on a run play.

He will never make it out of training camp if someone pucks him up.

  2. imo we wont cut trent, or we would have by now.but if I am wrong and we do cut him, hoody will take him in a heartbeat and use him to beat us once again, hoody game plans to a players talent, instead of making him play a coaches system

He has no talents, unless he is really good at cooking or can play guitar or something, but I don't think that will help win a game.
  3. 3.6 ypc is what Trent mustered behind a good line in Cleveland. He almost got 1000 yards ..... He was handed the ball a lot.

His Cleveland highlights are about 5 seconds long. He was almost average in Cleveland.

Behind the Colts less talented line he is well below average. Outperformed by everyone who plays the position.

The higher you are chosen in the draft means the higher the expectations are gonna be. Trent would have been a bust if he had been taken anywhere in the first 5 rounds, the last 2 rounds are where players of his talent are taken and usually cut early or sent to the practice squad.

The fact remains though that Trent has been a bust as a first round pick twice, which is no easy task.

Cleveland was ready to move him after only one season at a huge discount, and now after 2 seasons Indy is willing to admit defeat and just cut him.

That's 2 teams who have decided he is not good enough to be on their roster.

2 teams that can't really run the ball well, but feel that Trent is not helping improve the situation.

No other player had been given as many excuses as Trent has been given. The playbook was hard to learn .... Everyone else has always learned it before and after Trent received his copy.

Too many cordnators in 2 years ..... Is that why he dances and moves slow ?

He lost his confidence ..... He talks a good game for a guy with no confidence. He was gonna jump in the dawg pound and tear it up his last 4 games, neither happened.

He just isn't any good. Too slow to get around the outside, too hesitant and weak to plow through the middle, no vision, no ability to improvise, not even slightly elusive ( though he does dance like he believes he's Barry Sanders), he has nothing to build off of.

He can block ...... So can a ton of other running backs who can also run. He can catch .... So can over half the NFL running backs, and they can run also.

Trent will never be even a 1/4 of what he was in college. He is a bust.

I had hoped he would come to Indy and be what he was hyped up to be, the next Adrian Peterson, but he wasn't. He was bad, and he didn't improve at all during his first season in Indy. I knew that he was a bust at that point because if he had any potential to be great he would have shown at least some glimpses during his first season as a Colt, but he showed nothing. This past season he once again showed nothing, he talked some trash, but he never backed anything up.

  4. So Trent got benched for his weight, got mad, shot his mouth off to reporters, realized he was about to look like a fool by being benched again, so he did out somewhere and wouldn't answer his phone.

Hospitals have phones, people in hospitals have phones .....

Must have got his phone fixed in time to call the media and claim it was all a family emergency ......

Maybe when Luck upgrades his phone he will let Trent have his trusty flip phone so he can remain in contact with the team.

I'm thinking that while at the hospital the reception was bad on his phone, he asked the nurse about it and she said stand by the window. Trent looked at the window which was 5 yards away. He slowly took his phone, did a little dance then gained 2 yards before falling down when a child running by brushed against him. Trent then picked himself up, ran into the back of a nurse then fell. Looking up he realized that the window was now 7 yards away. He tried one more time but only made it a yard closer. He then walked over to a chair and sat down and waited for someone to punt.

  5. Trent would be good with a great O line. Problems is every other back would be great behind that same line.

X's and O's aren't Trent's problem, Trent is Trent's problem. He isn't good at this level. He got benched for poor play then shot his mouth off and decided he would stay home to teach everyone a lesson.

Trent isn't gonna make it in this league, he has no skill and no maturity.

  6. D'Qwell Jackson and Mike Adams are both former Browns players and current Pro Bowlers. Also, for as much as you dislike Richardson, the year before he became a Colt, he was voted as a top 100 player by his peers albeit his stay in Indy has been a failure.

Now he is voted a bust by the whole world except a couple of crazy guys here.
  7. You know who else was quoted as a "never be a star" type player, who was coincidentally drafted in the same round as Newsome.... Robert Mathis.....

Well that right there means he's guaranteed to be a star .......

In some bizzaro universe where that would even make the slightest bit of sense.

Linebacker in the 5th round .... Guaranteed success.

  8. So even if they won the game and moved on Trent wouldn't be taking the field this season.

I don't buy the sick relative thing, he would have came out and said what happened if it was real. He knows the world thinks hes a bum at this point so if he had any excuses to play then he would have.

  9. again, you mean like Hilton, Allen, Ballard, Moncrief, Holmes, Fleener, Mewhort, Newsome, Brazill etc etc?

Hilton is the best of the bunch, outside of Indy nobody else would really be impressed with the rest. Some could develop into good players, but a couple of tight ends and a running back who was serviceable the one season he played out of 3 really isn't all that impressive.

Its great that he did what everyone else in the world wanted him to do and drafted Luck. Fleener was kinda a gimme too since he was Lucks favorite college target and we needed a tight end. Allen was rated higher then Fleener by many experts so I will give him partial credit for him. Hilton was a great pick. Ballard isn't anything at this point, honestly he was pretty average then got injured all the time. He wasn't a bad pick, but he isn't really something you can hang your hat on either. Brazill is nothing, where is he now ?

Werner was a huge mistake, Trent was also. So that's 2 first round picks wasted on a project and a bust.

Moncrief might be great or he might flop, he shows promise though.

Mewhort and Newsome might be serviceable, but will never be stars.

He needs a good draft, his first one was excellent, but now its time to show that it wasn't a fluke and that he can find talent and it doesn't have to be handed to him like Luck was.

  10. I would be willing to bet money that no matter what their investigation says they will claim the official failed to inspect the balls properly.

They will fire the official and sweep it under the rug, even though logically there is no way that 11 balls were under inflated. The equipment guy who turns the balls over for inspection would have had to check then beforehand. Maybe they will fire the equipment guy and the official, but I doubt anyone takes any action against the Patriots.

They don't need to cheat to win, but its like old Bill can't help himself. He's like a shoplifter stealing packs of gum while having $2000 in cash on them. He could buy the gum, but the thrill wouldn't be there.

  11. If Grigson doesn't find some value in the first round this season then I would get rid of him. You can't take the opportunity to get a starting quality player and flush it season after season. He walked into Luck, now he needs to prove that he can evaluate talent on his own.

A failed project player and a failed trade on his last 2 drafts look very bad. Polian started to miss quite often onnhsi first round picks towards the end but he had earned himself a lot more rope then Grigson has. He needs to show he can do the job this season or he needs to go, you can't waste Luck's career on bad drafts and horrible trades because the odds are stacked against the next Colts QB being anywhere near as good as Peyton and Luck.

  12. I think his family emergency was an excuse not to show up after shooting his mouth off about never being benched again.

He supposedly didn't remember to call the team when it happened but did remember to call the media. Then to never actually say what the medical emergency was .... Highly suspect IMO.

    Trent's done in the NFL
