  1. Apologies, you are most correct. Sorry for being a *. I'll rephrase. Your opinion is mind bogglingly stupid. Or will that make you unhappy to be here?

I wouldn't say his opinions are 100% off base. Didn't some of the team get mad when Peyton said he didn't want families at the hotel in Miami before the Superbowl ? Luck seems more like the type who would offer to drive you to the airport to pick them up then the type to try and say he didn't want them there.

Peyton has a huge ego I think, he has been trained to keep it in check somewhat though, at least publicly.

Luck might develop the ego as the years go on, but for now he seems content playing football and being everyone's buddy.

  2. So a mediocre punter can't find a job, can't be because he just isnt that good, has to be because he supports gay marriage

Even if that was true then why couldnt he catch on anywhere else ? Was he at these tryouts running his mouth saying that the Vikes let him go because he supported gay marriage ? That would make teams shy away because obviously the guy runs his mouth.

I mean if a guy walks in, a guy who is mediocre at best, and starts trash talking his old employer and going on and on about he was fired for his controversial views on a sensitive subject, are you really gonna hire him ?

Did his support of gay marriage help the cause ? No, nobody was moved by the words of support from an NFL punter.

Why was gay people such a hot topic in the Vikings locker room ? Was he bringing it up over and over trying to use it to draw attention to himself ?

Do you actually think the vikings called other teams and said not to hire this punter or do you think it was his own lack of skills or perhaps something he himself said during the tryouts that made teams decline his services ?

I can't see any team taking the time to black list a punter. I think the guy is an *. Do you guys go to your jobs and tell your boss your views on gay marriage ?

  3. The NFL needs to go back and watch the footage of Tomlinson on other games, see if he always watches the screen like he said he does.

I watched the play in question a few times and he takes his eyes off the screen and starts looking behind him out the corner of his eye before he ever tries to move. He knew he was right behind him and coming fast, but he waited. If he was smart he wouldn't have been smiling afterwards, better to look confused or scared.

I would suspend him a few games and give him a fine, draft picks hurt the whole team and its not as if the team itself could have stopped him or anything.

  4. Weren't some scouts thrown under the bus for saying RG3 had character issues, namely being a "me" kinda guy ?

Some scouts were thrown under the his for saying the same thing about Newton, and they turned out to be true, he has moved past it no apparently but last season he was a train wreck with his behavior.

If you say a black QB has issues then you are a racist. If you say a black CB has issues then thats fine. I think it is the lack of successful black QB's in the NFL that have made people so quick to defend and want to anoint one as great.

I am not saying the black QB's are never good, I am saying that just because a QB is black doesnt mean he should be placed above criticism.

Its not racist to say Vick and RG3 have similar playing styles and will never win a Superbowl, no more then it would be racist to say that Matt Cassel and Matt Flynn both suck and are have been overrated at some point in their careers.

Nobody jumps to Peyton Hillis's defense when he sucks at his position which is predominantly black players.

If a guy is good then he is good, if he sucks then he sucks, skin color doesnt win football games or make your pass have a tighter spiral. Wilson is playing good, Luck is playing good, RG3 is not.

So any criticism or praise directed at a player I would say is on his merits and not his skin color.

Right now RG3 sucks. Maybe he will turn it around like Newton did, but I dont think so. Newton has more skills and has a huge frame that can take the hits.

Saying a defense is ranked last isnt even a real excuse. If he could sustain drives then his defense would be ranked higher by just not having to play defense so often. If you go 3 and out all the time then your defense will suck. They won't be rested and they will have more plays to defend then a team with a better offense.

  5. They don't wanna cut Martin or suspend him, they have enough bad press right now without doing that.

Martin isn't coming back, the Cots dotn need another below average lineman, especially not one with all that baggage.

Who wants a media circus and the distraction in the locker room for a back up player ? If someone took Martin they would be pressured to play him, otherwise the press would be snoopinga round and asking why he isnt starting. The guy is cancer now and no team will want him, which I dont think matters anyways. I dont think he wants to play, he says he does, but he pretty much has to say that so his lawsuit will look good. You can't really say well I was gonna quit football anyways but I figured I should try to grab a few bucks on my way out the door. No, he has to say he wants to play.

  7. You keep bringing the racism like they're more concerned about that than anything. They're not, it's just that they have evidence of the harassment in the voicemails and text messages. Incognito did cross other lines in his harassment than being racist, he threatened Martin and his family, a teammate not some random player he's playing against. He has to be around this person almost every day and he has no recourse against him because the locker room let Incognito take over.

Then who was it that physically attacked Martin ? Obviously it wasnt Incognito or they would already have said so. Who said they were gonna do things to Martins sister ? Once again I would say it wasnt Incognito or they would have said so.

The whole racisim thing went on for days, with talk of honorary black men and this and that.

Incognito is an * and a scumbag, but telling Martin to call him back at the end of that voicemail, it just doesnt fit and thats why all the news stations shooting for the racist angle always edit it out.

They play the whole thing but leave out those last 3 words, why is that ? Racisim sells, racisim is news worthy, racism gets the public behind you.

Would Mike Pouncy picking on Martin have gotten the same level of news coverage ? I dont think so. Racisim sells and sways public opinion.

You might get some money from the NFL if you are picked on and bullied, but you will definetly get money if racisim is involved. The NFL doesnt want anything race related going on, for them that would be one of the worst things possible.

  8. Andrew Luck might disagree with you. Have you ever once thought that Incognito and his little click may have crossed lines beyond general hazing?

This isnt pop warner football. No trophy for participation, no attendance awards.

These men gat paid on how they perform, if you are the weak link then they won't hesitate to single you out.

Blocking for Luck at Stanford is not blocking for Luck in the NFL. Even if Luck thought Martin was horrible and a weirdo, he ain't gonna say so, only a fool would.

Martin hasn't lived up to where he was drafted, he doesnt fit in a locker room atmosphere, his rookie contract would have probably been his biggest payday of his career, after that it would have been vet minimum.

He gave up more sacks then any player on the Colts bad offensive line last year.

Just by running out and making everything public he has proven that he is weak. Any defensive player who ever lines up across from him after all this will gladly talk trash to him, they will say things Incognito never even thought of.

Might have to mic Martin up just so the NFL can make sure nobody is picking on him.

I think Martin and his family chose Incognito to be the scapegoat because he is white and they can claim racisim and because Martin had a voicemail.

Wouldn't you be more upset about the physical attack then a voicemail, but the attacker is identified because odds are he is black and it wouldn't fit with the racist narrative.

So thwy start with Incognito, leak the voicemail and making a big deal out of the N word, once that foundation is laid and you have the media attention then you can say some black guys were doing it to.

Martin couldnt hack the NFL, he wasnt a great player, he didnt fit in with the other players, and he has emotional issues. His family who just so happen to be lawyers are trying to make a buck.

Incognito may be a scumbag, but he is taking the heat on this one because of the color of his skin. A physical assault would be far worse then being called any name in my book, yet Martins camp would rather point out a guy using the N word rather then say who roughed him up. If Incognito was running around in the locker room shouting racist things in a hateful manner dont you think some of the other black players would have fought him ? They wouldn't have stood for it at all.

A black guy getting bullied by a black guy isnt news, but a black guy getting bullied by a white guy is a huge story. Incognito was chosen because he would get them the most attention, and it worked.

  9. Who wouldn't want an offensive lineman who might either run off the field crying because an opposing player called him a name or might curl up in the fetal position once the ball is snapped.

I sure wouldn't want some emotional wimp protecting my franchise QB.

You think that opposing players won't take advantage of his sensitivity, they will be calling him way worse then Incognito ever did because they now know he is weak. He doesnt have it in him to use the taunting as fuel, thats not how he is made.

  10. If Martin was scared of Incognito then why let other players torment him too ?

Why not go after the player who talked trash about his sister, or go upside the head of someone calling him Big Weirdo ? That would have been a way to let Incognito know that he was tough without having to take him on personally.

I think Martin couldnt handle the atmosphere of the locker room , he doesnt have any killer instincts and is basically soft.

I think he probably snapped because it wasnt an enviornent he could handle and I think since he only had evidence of Incognito's text he used that to throw him under the bus and make him the scapegoat.

Incognito is taking all the criticism but he isnt the one who supposedly attacked Martin physically or talked trash about his sister. I think Martin ran home to his lawyer parents and they took what evidence they could, the infamous voicemail , and started the ball rolling on getting Martin paid without having to play.

He ia gonna say he wants to play, he has to, saying he doesnt want to play anymore would damage their case, they want to try and claim future earnings that were lost over the situation. If he said I am done with football then it would damage their claim for more money.

Martin is soft, he can't hack it in the NFL, he isnt the first guy to realize this and he isnt the first to be bullied.

I think he told his lawyer parents that he was thinking about leaving and they decided to try and get paid. I dont think he is a mastermind behind it all, I think his parents probably control him and make him do what they want just like Incognito did. Some people are just very submissive, I think Martin is this way and the other players couldnt comprehend it, most athletes are alpha males.

  11. Addai was never Edge 2.0, if he was then why did they take Brown the following year ?

Saying that he should put up Adrian Peterson type numbers is like saying everyone who doesn't throw for 50 touchdowns a season is a bum because Manning and Brady did it.

I am sure they were shopping around for a way to protect Luck. Nobody wanted to give a good lineman up so the second best option was to get a viable threat at running back. Play action only works if you have someone who can run, Bradshaw isn't awesome and Brown is a 3rd stringer.

Other then Luck we could have traded most our first round picks in recent memory for some chewing gum and a foam finger and still ended up the same.

  12. 49-12 vs the Jets and Brady is still on the field throwing the ball.

It's not against the rules, but Brady sure does like to pad his stats once he finds a team he can beat. The year he threw 50 touchdowns he ran up the score on a few teams. Cassel had 7 passes that season as his back up.

The year Peyton threw 49 touchdowns he rode the bench after the first series in the final game. Getting a record in the actual course of a game is better then getting a record by putting up 50 points on a team that can't beat you.

Brady is a great QB, but he also likes to run up the score and humiliate bad teams. .
