I knew McDaniels would not sign with Indy.

Kept saying all day yesterday McDaniels wanted to go to Tennessee and that they would fire Mularkey.

First Nagy rejects Colts. Wilks declines to Interview. Rhule withdraws his name. Now McDaniels looks to go to Tennessee.

I know he has much love on this forum, but I believe Irsay is the reason we can't sign a coach.

Listen Brad, we get you’re a full time pessimist, no one’s amused. Your being right % is worse than the Colts win % from the 2017 season, just stop it.

I don't care about getting a first time HC either, I'd have been glad to have Wilks or Nagy, plenty of others, but I think Vrabel is very inexperienced in coaching in general. Only 6 years coaching.

I like the guys attitude and the respect that he demands. He’s one of the few former Patriots that I truly liked, so I will admit I’m biased in my opinion of him.

But it was proven in Denver.

That was an assistant or something, and he fired the guy for it. I don’t care if the Colts hire Satan himself if they win games. McDaniels may not be very likeable to folks, but let’s not act like he’s a band person with a rap sheet of felonies and misdemeanors a mile long or something. We don’t have to have the guy over for beers and WWE network binges.

Yep, I'm 30, so just imagine if I got named the coach of the Colts, of course you wouldn't feel confident in me. It's very difficult to have all that pressure on you at such a young age and lead a team to a SB where you are making so many decisions. It was his very first time in that spot. He's now had a lot of experience as an OC and grown through experience instead of being thrown in the fire again. Sometimes you need to mature, and I think Josh McDaniels has done just that. His results in NE speak for themselves, and I look forward to him being the coach of the Colts.

I'm the same age as McDaniels was when he was hired in Denver, no way I could handle that stress. My biggest professional accomplishment to date is running a television station, and after 5 years of that stress I moved to another tv station that I'm not in charge of...so much happier now. At 40 though, I"m fairly confident I could tackle that challenge again.

Bro that % is rumors he just interviewed for us todayand he has a 2nd interview for us on friday

He interviewed with Arizona today, and he was scheduled to interview with the Colts tomorrow. There was a possibility that there could be a second round of interviews, not that Wilks was being interviewed today and again tomorrow. Read those tweets again.

I think he gets interviewed tomorrow from what I’ve read. Apparently the giants don’t have him on the final list of candidates... He is all ours if we want him. My money is on Wilks or Mcdaniels becoming the new HC. The next few days will be VERY interesting

I’ve read Patricia or McDaniels will be the coach of the Giants, although at the beginning of the week it was also being reported that’s Patricia was taking the Lions job, so who knows.

The Colts may do second round of interviews:

#Panthers DC Steve Wilks exits Arizona after interviewing with the #AZCardinals yesterday with a possible #Colts interview looming. Sounds like AZ and Indy likely do second rounds. Giants may, as well.

It makes me happy that Ballard isn't rushing to make a hire, he's doing everything possible to get this right.

yeah, cause they'll get 50% and more

I’ve been trying to move to Myrtle Beach, or California for 5 years now (big difference, I know) and the reason I haven’t is that I’ve seen hundreds of horror movies, and Freddy, Jason, Ghostface, Michael Myers, etc...don’t scare me nearly as much as the Irish firecracker of a woman I married.

Wilks reminds me a lot of Mike Tomlin personality wise. Only I think he may be smarter. Hes the guy I want. Defensively I know the scheme would change, but they use bigger players in that version of the 4-3 he runs. Most of our players would still fit and I love that he believes in bringing that blitz.

IF Wilks is smarter than Tomlin (a W&M graduate) then whomever lands him is getting a very intelligent man. I’d be very happy if the Colts hire Wilks.

When you resort to petty insults, I tend not to take you seriously and stick to my opinion even more.

Seems very hypocritical that’d you say that, yet you’d admit that you like Doyel’s work. His opinions belong somewhere in the bowels of reddit, not in a publication that costs money. Wasn’t trying to change your opinion, btw, stating my opinion that his work is trash.

Disagree with this completely. Most people on here would be writing articles similar to Doyle if they had his platform. Also, by that logic, all writers exist to get clicks, some do it by talking positively and some negatively. At least Doyle is telling the truth though with his negativity because of our record and how we are playing and coaching. Someone that writes and puts a positive spin on the season is lying and manipulating the facts right now to try and sound positive. I at least appreciate the honesty and passion from Doyle rather than a corporate puppet paid to try and point out the few positives to make everyone seem like it's ok.

Doyel's writing and articles are worse than any team fielded by the Colts, or any terrible coach in the history of the organization. I imagine the first drafts of his articles are written in crayon.

    LOL. Hilarious!!!

He destroyed Stephen Holder and Bobbie Kravitz! That was awesome!

He's the last person that should me talking trash about anyone. It's amazing that he can pull his head out of his own butt long enough to hurl anything...wait...nah, that actually explains what comes out of his mouth. See, I can be a jerk too, and I didn't have to yell over anyone.

The guy works for JMV's show, which I've always gathered is well-sourced, as well as one of the more popular sports radio shows in the Indianapolis area.

Yeah, that's great and all, but literally this dude and Brad Wells are reporting this. We're essentially taking an Onion article as the truth. If Luck was never playing again he wouldn't have said what he said last week. He gains nothing by lying about it.
