If Ballard signs this guy, after letting some WR's with size go like Moncrief and not signing Robinson, it will just verify in my mind that Ballard as absolutely no idea what he is doing.  He is just throwing darts at a dartboard,

So far during his reign, color me not impressed.

From a so far average draft and FA sign up 2017 to the Tolzein fiasco to the V Davis faisco to the McDaniels screw up, it almost seems as if he has no idea what he is doing.

There’s also the draft, and more players will get released.

It'll definitely cost $10-$11 million. Also, what's the difference between two million when we have over $70 million in cap space and all the top FA's are gone? It's not like we can go back and sign Norwell now.

14 million is to much for a guard. It’s not like he would’ve fixed the entire line. I wanted Norwell, but 4-5 million is a pretty big difference. Now if the Colts pay Jensen 13 million, then absolutely get angry.

An injury for a veteran player is 5x worse than for younger players

That’s not injury prone though. I had the same injury and I run 10 miles every day, and I’m 2 years older than Sherman. I’m not nearly the athlete he is, nor do I have his resources. If the Colts can trade a late pick for him, and get him on a team friendly deal then I’m all for it. I’d rather have Melvin back though.

  4. Living deep in ACC country I tend to not focus on players from other conferences, so at this time of year I rely on others to get info about potential fits for the Colts. With that said  I'd like to know, who you folks are some names I should check out?

Some guys from UVa I'd like to see Ballard take a look at are

Micah Kiser (ILB) 6'2 240: Could be a solid rotational guy that plays very well against the run. Would be a liability against faster guys.

Quin Blanding (Safety) 6'2 210: speed is the biggest concern with him. He's a tackling machine and is solid in coverage, but he could get burned.

Kurt Benkert (QB) 6'4 215: Not a major need, but he'd be worth a look in the 6th or 7th round if he's available.

Andrew Brown (DL) 6-4 285: He wasn't really asked to rush the passer at UVa, which was a massive coaching mistake. I think he would do very well in Indy.

Of the four guys I mentioned, Brown and Blanding would be the two I have the most interest in. I do think Kiser has a ton of potential, but I dont want to see slot guys and TEs eating his lunch.

Can we spare the tired “my uncle/dad/mom knows so-so who works at so-so” jokes. At least come up with something original.

Someone who was alive and in school dur5inf the NES and SNES glory days, they're not jokes, that's actual stuff I heard all the time. It's exactly what Wells does. Just because the kid said Mega Man fights a skeleton in the new Mega Man game doesnt mean he actualky knew about Skull Man. Not bashing your friend, just think Brad got lucky with this one.

    So, next the bomb:

    Peyton as OC! :ninja:

Nah, I know it wont happen. HOWEVER, it would be the one thing that would turn the McDufus scandal into a win. One can dream. Aaaaahhhhhh, bliss.....

Not having Snakey McPitViper as a coach and watching him crash and burn post BB and Brady will be the jelly of the month club.

Posted this in another thread as well. Again I know most aren’t fond of him

He's like that kid in elementary school who had an uncle that worked for Nintendo and played the new Zelda 3 years before it came out. We all know that kid, "My Uncle said that Zelda has a jet pack, and he also has a machine gun this time! He's going to let me play it over the weekend, but it's top secret, so no one else is allowed over, or he could go to jail!"
