  1. Im going out on a limb here, but watched Broncos,49ers game if they stay healthy,I personally think they contend for SB,I think PM looks pretty dog gone good, arm might not be 100 % but with his mind its close enough, and the running game with it  The D is no slouch either

They have a brutal schedule this year, but if they could win 8 with Tebow they should contend for a championship with Peyton. They look really good.

I loved when Peyton stood tall in the pocket and got hammered while delivering the perfect 40 yard touch pass to Ball. Jumped right back up like he's never even heard of spinal fusion.

  2. Not worried about the wobble. He's always thrown alot of wobbly balls but they usually end up right where he wants them.

He looks sharp for a guy who hasn't played in two years. He looks amazing for a guy who sat for two years and came back from 4 surgeries.

  3. I was definitely opposed to the decision at the time. With hindsight it's looking much better. Besides, it's a done deal so no use worrying about the couldabeens.

I really thought they could retool while Manning finished his career here.

I hope Manning's very successful in Denver and sets all the passing records with them. And then I hope that Luck breaks them again in 15 years.

  4. Rams.

    C'mon people.

It was still a very good showing. But Luck is talented enough to beat a subpar D running vanilla schemes in PS game #1 with no defensive coordinator. If this continues against Pittsburgh and the like, I'll change my mind.

Still, it seems better then what we saw out of Gabbert and many of the rookies at any point last season. Sure it's only a preseason game, but what a preseason game it was!

  5. You'll get your chance on Monday - Broncos OTA will start on Monday and open to the media.

    Champ Bailey on Manning-

“What I saw today, he’s going to give us some good work. Man, we might not see a quarterback like that all year, so that’s something that’s going to get us prepared for games,” Bailey said. “This was definitely one of the most intense first days of OTAs I’ve had in a while. It was good. I love to see those guys running hard as they have been, and I know they’ll be ready to go.”

  6. "Defense is overrated in todays NFL." that is the dumbest statement I believe I have read on these boards, did you watch our superbowl win? you do know defense won that for us right and do you really want to see Luck have to go through shootout after shootout just to keep his team in games? we won one SuperBowl because we had NO defense, defense doesnt win championships...try telling that to Tom Brady who was all but carried to his first one or Dan Marino who only sniffed one superbowl appearance and I say sniffed because the 49ers had that won in the 3rd quarter

    Srs bsns? :catfight:

  7. At least he wasn't conducting dog fights in his backyard--smoking dope is stupid, but it is common among young (and not so young) today.

I don't think it's so much that he smokes pot, it's more that he wasn't smart enough/lacked the discipline to avoid it in the few weeks before the combine AND draft. At this rate if he continues to fail to show self control, he'll get himself suspended by game 1 anyway.

  8. Too early to hate dudeman, or dudeness … Duder … or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing.

I just want to understand this, sir. Every time a rug is micturated upon in this fair city, I have to compensate the owner?

  9. your right Manning never had to bail us out time and time again because of inept defensive tackle play and poor Corner coverage

We won a Super Bowl. Made the playoffs for a decade. And I enjoyed Manning bailing us out time and again while cementing his legacy. And Manning was able to bail us out because he had the weapons to maximize his exceptional talents through most of his time here.

  10. I hope you are all aware we are repeating the last 14 years of mistakes going offense like crazy and defense very little, I mean we traded a 4th round pick for a speed guy whos a punt returner when we already have a speed guy in Avery which likely cost us Ta'amu and would be close to a miracle if it dont and if it costs us Ta'amu surely Baptiste isnt far behind

I think this is just more proof that we did it right the last 14 years. Get a franchise passer and give him weapons = perennial contender. Defense is overrated in todays NFL.
