  1. Poyer is a zone corner...   I don't think he's a scheme fit...

Reddick would be lower on my list, and I've already got 10 RB's...

I don't know who Williams is...   I'll try to figure that one out...

And Jenkins would be another OLB.    And I think we'll pass on them in R's 4 and 5.

    Hope that clarifies....

Jesse Williams. Reddick is an ILB, not a RB. Jenkins would be a steal and already knows what it's like to line up with Werner.
  2. I have 32 names for Day 3 targets, all in the 4th and 5th rounds. I expect the Colts to make a trade to acquire a 5th round pick.

Having used our first two picks on the pass rush and the OL, I have the next picks targeting making the team more explosive either in scoring, or trying to prevent a score. Certain positions I don't have anyone. Even some with very good grades. Taking them would, IMO, be redundant at this point. We can target certain positions, and I think we will.

My hunch is we'll take the best defensive back in R4 and the best RB or WR in R5.

    So....

    RB's (10) WR's (9)

    Ellington 4 Patton 4

    Franklin 4 Rogers 4

    Gilleslie 5 Swope 5

    Lattimore 5 Boyce 5

    Maysonet 5 Harper 5

    Taylor 5 King 5

    Randle 5 Mellette 5

    Johnson 5 Hamilton 5

    Barner 5

    ILB (1) DE (2)

    N. Johnson 4 Gholston 5

    Goodman 5

    CB (5) S (5)

    BW Webb 4 P. Thomas 4

    S. Commings 4 B. Rambo 4

    M. Anthony 5 D. Williams 4

    M. Hyde 5 E. Wolff 4

    B. McGee 5 S. Thomas 5

Dont forget Poyer, Reddick, Williams, and Jenkins.
  3. Watched his game against Michigan and I absolutely LOVED what I saw. He dominates his man and tries to destroy him. He didn't let sped rushers beat him and always blocked till the whistle blew. He rareIy, if ever got beat and let his man make the tackle. I definitely think he will be a starter by the beginning of the season.

  4. Players we should consider

RB: Marcus Lattimore, Stepfan Taylor, Andre Ellington

WR: Quinton Patton, Da'Rick Rogers, Chris Haper

OL: Barrett Jones, Brian Schwenke, Alvin Bailey

DL: Jesse Williams, Brandon Jenkins, Alex Okafor

    OLB: Chase Thomas

    CB: Jordan Poyer, Sander Commings

S: Philip Thomas, Shamarko Thomas, Duke Wlliams

I totally forgot about Poyer. I would also like him.
  5. Yep and Polian thought bringing in Collins in such short notice would work........My point? Just because they have the title GM on there name dont make them right.....I like Werner, I think he needs to build some strength and has a ways to go but as a rotational piece we did very good

You think he needs to build some strength?!?!?! On of his best attributes is that he can go right through lineman with power. You are wrong about that my friend.
  6. I like it but I think I'd rather go with Corey Lemonier in the 3rd and Sheldon Price(both players being project players with a high upside) in the 4th if were talking about those specific positions, I like Bostic but rather have A.J. Klein

It was between Lemonier in the third or Williams in the fourth. Williams won cause of the value you get with Ryan in the third.
  7. Another mock I wish could be true. I think the only player that may be there is Trevardo Williams.

Bostic will not be there in the 6th. I have a hard time seeing Logan Ryan fall to us in the 3rd.

There is absolutely no way Cooper falls to us. That would be a Christmas miracle. There are too many needy teams that could change course and go OG. The Giants, Cowboys, and Rams surely would take him.

A good try and I hope I am wrong.

I think Ryan will be there. This is a deep corner class. I kinda knew Bostic was a reach and was thinking that we could trade one of our 7ths to move up to the 5th to get him. There is a chance, albeit small, that Cooper will fall.
  8. 1. OG Jonathan Cooper: That's right, I'm saying that Cooper will fall and it will all be based on positional need. Cooper is a very athletic lineman. He isn't a mountain, but he still has great strength. He is a great pass protector at the OG position and is an elite blocker in space. He would fill a major hole and would be a huge steal at this point in the draft.

    3. CB Logan Ryan: Ryan is the definition of a press corner. He loves to be physical with his man and to come up in run support. He has a great closing burst to receivers and and anticipates routes well. He hasn't sustained any injuries of concern over his career, even though he is so physical. He would give us one of the most physical secondaries in the game.

    4. OLB Trevardo Williams: Williams has all the numbers. He ran a 4.57 40, has a 38 inch vertical, and had 30 reps on the bench press. Did I also mention that he's had 24 sacks in the last 2 years to go along with 28.5 TFL's. He plays with great hustle and he has the potential to be one of the best pass rushers in the game. I would say that he is the perfect counter to Walden's run stopping abilities.

    6. ILB Jonathan Bostic: Bostic is a hammer. He set the tone for the Gators the last two years and should continue to do that in the NFL. He takes on blocks from lineman well and sheds them off quickly. I would look for him to come in and compete for a starting spot next to Freeman.

    7. OT Luke Marquardt: Marquardt is huge at 6-9, 322 pounds. He is very athletic for his size and will be a project. He has a huge ceiling with his physical traits. He has dominated lesser competition in the NAIA, but could be a very solid backup in the future.

    7. WR Marcus Davis: Davis has all the physical attributes to be a top receiver, but needs to work harder. He is a big receiver at 6-3, 230 pounds and would be a great red zone threat with his 39.5 vertical. His biggest area of concern is his route running, but working with Reggie will only improve that. He has great upside and would be well worth the pick at this point in the draft.

  9. Roster:

    QB: Luck, Hasselbeck

    RB: Ballard, Brown, Carter

    FB: Havili

WR: Wayne, Hilton, Mellette, DHB, Brazill

    TE: Fleener, Allen, Saunders

    LT: Castanzo, Sowell

    LG: Thomas, Reitz

    C: Jones, Satele, Shipley

    RG: Winters, Ijalana, McGlynn

    RT: Cherilus, Sowell

    DE: RJF, Moala, Nevis

    NT: Franklin, Chapman

    DE: Redding, Jones, Guy, Mathews

    ILB: Freeman, Conner, Angerer

    OLB: Mathis, Hughes

    OLB: Walden, Sidbury

    NB: Butler, Mathieu

    CB: Davis, Toler, Ryan

    FS: Bethea, Armstrong, Mathieu

    SS: Landry, Lefeged, Mathieu

    P: McAfee

    K: AV, Hopkins

    PR: Hilton

    KR: Mathieu

    PS:

    Gordy

  10. Trade 1st to San Francisco for their early 2nd, late 3rd, and late 4th.

    2. DE Datone Jones: Jones has good intangibles, is very quick and has active hands. He had great production at the 5-tech spot with 62 tackles, 19 TFL's and 6.5 sacks. He is a leader and puts a lot of time into the weight room and studying tape. I would love for him to be a part of the organization to become a replacement for Redding and maybe develop into a Justin Smith type player.

3a. CB/S/KR Tyrann Mathieu: Mathieu is simply a playmaker. He is all over the field and causes turnovers everywhere. He has made many mistakes in the past, but I think he is sincere in the fact that he wants to get better and stay out of trouble. I would love having a player like him on the field and that's why he's worth the risk.

3b. C/OG Barrett Jones: Jones is simply a player you want to represent your team. He is one of the most high character and smart players in this draft. He has very good technique and can read blitzes better than anyone. His leadership at the position is unparalleled in the draft. I see Luck and Jones forming a Manning and Saturday-like bond as they play with each other.

4a. OG Brian Winters: Winters is one of the most underrated players in the draft. He is an all around blocker, solid in both pass and run blocking. Was a wrestler in high school, so he knows how to use his hands to gain an advantage. He is also a very good pulling guard. He would be the finishing piece for our offensive line.

4b. CB Logan Ryan: Ryan is a strong physical corner that is made for a press scheme. He will come up and jam the receiver and is great in run support. He could be a #2 corner for us, but he will probably be the #3 corner.

    6. WR Aaron Mellette: Mellette is a good route runner with strong hands. He would be a good replacement for Collie. He has good size at 6-3, 220 pounds. Has never had any serious injuries to be concerned about.

7a. SS Ray Ray Armstrong: Armstrong is a very hard hitter, who has amazing talent, but has fallen off the radar due to off the field issues. I would love to get him, due to him being so talented. He has great size for the position and good speed. He has the potential to maybe start for us one day.

7b. K Dustin Hopkins: Future replacement for Vinatieri. Could be a future All Pro.
