  1. This is Tipplette on the call so you know he will botch everything.

I could have sworn that before the tv commercial, that replayed showed he was completely past the blue line...then on the last replay it looked like he was only somewhat over it. So confused.

  2. Lets be honest..we'd all cheap shot Richard if we had the chance.

    For the soup commercials alone

No, I'd just give him a Hilton special   I just need to be a bit faster and being able to catch would probably help :D

  3. The fact that Sherman continues to get beat by guys like T.Y. Hilton & Jackson proves that is is not the best at what he does. He is very good at his job but not the best. Give me Davis or Peterson any day.

Sherman hasn't gotten beat today. I don't like the guy, but neither play to Jackson was on him (unless you mean the tackle that he should have made at the 10 yard line).

  4. Question on that option can you hit the QB if he's acting like he has the ball after he hands off ? Saw Wilson do that earlier then same play and he kept it for the easy score .

Yes, I believe you can.  I've seen it happen numerous times (especially to RG3) and can't remember a penalty being thrown.

  5. From what I had seen from Ball he was already out? ;)

So true lol. Broncos have to hope for a chargers-like RB surge. Matthews, Woodhead, and brown all don't play, and they have the worst statistical run game in the nfl, and then boom Oliver comes in and looks like Walter Payton.

  6. Oh Lord..DeMarco Murray wont win MVP unless Andrew Luck retires over the Thanksgiving weekend...

Anything's possible. See recent 2012 and 2005 and 2006 MVP ballots. But I understand your point lol. Luck has a better shot at it.

  7. No one oustide message boards thinks Prater isn't doing a good job...or is too expensive

Ewald wan NOT brought in to challnge Prater because Prater made 92 % of field goals and some beyond 60 yards.

This sounds like the fans who want Adam Vinatieri traded after he misses any kick..

    its not serious

Guess I was right that Prater might be cut :)

  8. I guess I'm one of the few football purists left. I enjoy watching any game (Jaguars vs Texans was a struggle last year lol) and I don't play fantasy. Growing up in Philly, the Eagles were my team. But the Colts captured my true fandom, and from there, my interest in football overall grew. I have teams I like, teams I hate (patriots!), and then there's teams I can relate to the Colts (for example, besides my hatred for the Saints, I was rooting for the Cowboys because they in my mind would present an easier matchup in the superbowl).

I agree with the idea that fans are loyal to an original team and get more involved with the rest of the NFL because of fantasy. I think that's a good thing, but it still weirds me out how someone who doesn't really like a certain team could be rooting for that team's qb to do well.

  9. Huge mental error? Brilliant against the Jags. Don't think you are being consistent. Rivers is doing great for sure, but your off hand dismissal of Luck is off balance to your praise of Phil.

I actually said both were brilliant against the Jaguars. But Rivers has also been brilliant against Seattle and the Bills, where Luck has just Tennessee.

  10. They can do whatever they want. Like I said, O's job is to score but to pretend that all Manning's TDs were relevant is a joke. Many were not and were not needed for the win.

    All are relevant.

I gave an example. You again are ignoring. They blew a 24 point lead by taking pedal from the gas and lost the game.

Week 1 vs Ravens: Peyton throws a TD pass with 13 minutes left in the 4th quarter to make it 42-17, seemingly securing the win.  But wait, Ravens make it 42-27 with 5:30 to go, so it’s a two possession game.  Trying to just pick up the first down, Peyton throws a screen pass for the first down, but it goes for a TD. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week2 vs Giants: Peyton throws a TD pass with 12 minutes left in the 4th quarter to make it 31-16. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 3 vs Raiders: Peyton doesn’t throw any TD passes in the second half of the blowout. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 4 vs the Eagles: Peyton last throws a TD pass in the 3rd quarter. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 5 vs Cowboys: Peyton needs to comeback in order to win. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 6 vs Jaguars: Peyton doesn’t throw a TD pass after the 1st quarter. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 7 vs Colts: Broncos lose like we all remember lol. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 8 vs Redskins: Broncos are losing for most of this game.  Peyton leads a comeback and last throws a TD pass with 6:35 to go in the 4th when it was just a 10 point lead. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 10 vs Chargers: Peyton last throws a TD pass in the 3rd quarter. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 11 vs the Chiefs: Peyton only throws a TD pass in the first quarter.  Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 12 vs the Patriots: Peyton loses to the patriots.  Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 13 vs the Chiefs: Peyton last throws a TD with 14 minutes left in the 4th quarter to make it a two possession game.  They wind up winning by only a TD.  Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 14 vs Titans: Peyton last throws a TD pass with 9 minutes to go in the 4th quarter when it was less than a 2 possession game.  This was also the I-can-play-in-cold-weather statement game. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 15 vs Chargers: Peyton loses. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

Week 16 vs  Texans: First game where you could make a case for “running up the score.” Up until the 4th quarter, the Broncos offense was anemic (they moved the ball but struggled to score TDs). Then they explode and Peyton throws for 3 TDs.  The last TD pass, the one that breaks, the record, was questionable as the Broncos were up by 17 points at this point and there was 4:30 minutes to go.  However, we all know from the Bucs game in 2003 that it’s possible to score 21 points in 4 minutes or less.  Also, I do think Gase wanted to give Peyton a shot at breaking the record if he didn’t play next week.  Verdict: POSSIBLY running up the score.

Week 17 vs the Raiders: Peyton doesn’t play at all in the second half. Verdict: NOT running up the score.

In summary, there’s only one possible TD pass in one possible game, where you could say they were running up the score.  And that was the TD pass to break the record.

  11. Really? Because Luck has a grand total of 491 more yards than Manning & when they went head to head he threw for roughly 100 more yards against that supposedly rebuilt defense. Plus he has 4 more td's at this point in the season too.  I say Supreme's list is pretty spot on.

    Other way around.  ;)

Unless I just goofed on that. I'd put Luck ahead at this point.

Yes GoPats was the one that had Luck higher haha.

I don't penalize Peyton for playing one less game than Luck due to the bye.  You couldn't make any comparisions if you did penalize.  I assume an average game for Peyton, and that means 2-3 TDs (3 probably since he only got held to 2 because he played the league's best defense.  So he would then have about 11 Tds and still 1 INT or maybe 2).  So the stats are similar for Peyton and Luck, but I factor in that Luck got outplayed by Peyton and lost in the game vs the Broncos.  Luck also, imo, played very poorly vs the Eagles, despite the 3 TDS. Luck's been brilliant the last two games, but I have to factor in the level of competition, and neither team's defense is very good.  Jacksonville could be the worst defense in NFL history.  The Colts also have a better run game than the Broncos.  With all these factors taken into consideration, I have Peyton slightly higher than Luck at this point.

Rivers is my leading candidate because while I do believe he made a huge mental error that cost them the win vs the Cardinals, his play in these subsequent 3 weeks has been brilliant.  He is also dealing with an equally bad run game as Peyton.  I think Peyton will catch up to Rivers after the bye weeks even out, and the Broncos will sweep the Chargers, hurting Rivers' claim for MVP.  But as of right now, I have Rivers higher.
