  1. DeMarco Murray and Andrew Luck first, Peyton next.

The difference that Peyton has made in the Broncos winning reduces slightly in comparison to how well the Cowboys are winning with Murray and the Colts are winning with Luck. Peyton had a good team and now he has a loaded team, IMO, more loaded than the Colts.

Peyton, fair or not, is penalized for a high floor. Luck's improvement from last year is considerable and there in lies the difference, IMO.

I don't understand that at all. Because Peyton had the best season ever last year, he can't possibly win MVP? That doesn't make sense. Luck definitely has improved more than Peyton did in comparison to last year, but Peyton's (and Rodgers) seasons have been more impressive. Peyton is playing better than he did last year and Rodgers is playing slightly better than in 2011. Luck is definitely in the running (he's my #4 guy), but the other two qbs are more deserving. Luck has the best pass catching RBs out of the three, better tight ends than rodgers and combined, I take Fleener and Allen over JT, but that's definitely debatable. Luck has Hilton and Wayne too, which is one of the best WR duos in the NFl. ALL three qbs have solid defenses and solid running games and solid o-lines.

  2. The Chargers remind me of the KC Chiefs of last year till they played the Broncos.

They beat up on all lower tier teams (Bills, Jaguars, Raiders, Jets) and had 1 good home win vs the Seahawks, who the wheels seem to be falling off, now we realize but their O was more healthy then. Have lost to Cardinals and Chiefs so far to go 5-2.

This loss to the Chiefs will really hurt the Chargers, who could lose 2 in a row after Thursday night to the Broncos, I feel. Then, their last 5 is murderer's row, IMO, at Baltimore, home to Patriots, home to Broncos, at 49ers, and at Chiefs.

Everything you said about them could pretty much be said about us. Both teams have lost one on the road and one on the road. Both teams have for the most part demolished the inferior teams. We both have a great home win vs a great team (Seahawks for chargers, bengals for us). Sometimes, you just lose a close game.

Both the Chargers and Colts will make the playoffs and put up a tough out there, imo.

  3. That was one of the worst deep balls I have ever saw

Brady can't throw past 10 yards at all this year I swear....

Yes, he had the long TD on the first drive, but to a wide open guy. EVERY qb can do that. And last game, I'm not going to simply dismiss some of those TD throws as lucky, but it was right in the middle of great coverage by multiple defenders...

The vast majority of the time, the deep ball hasn't been there for Brady.  That's why I'm semi-confident Rex can beat the pats tonight.  The man knows defensive scheming.  He'll make Brady play to his weaknesses tonight.  Now we just need his guys to stick to his gameplan and not let RBs get wide open deep...

  4. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/10/peyton-manning-age-500-touchdowns-joke-leather-helmets

This story is really interesting. Apparently Welker made a joke about Manning's age saying when he threw his first TD football players were wearing leather helmets. Pretty funny actually. Manning did not like it and said that he would freeze the receiver that made the comment and that people should not start him on their FF teams. Welker had one catch for 8 yards yesterday. He was also only targeted that one time.

It was Julius who said it. Not welker.

  5. Just got back from the game. It was a lot of fun. Good to see 18 play live again.

Besides the final drive that lead to the pick 6... Geno didn't play that bad. The offensive line stinks and he has no receivers.

There was that sequence of like 3 dropped balls in four pass plays and the crowd just let out a giant boo lol. Geno could not recognize a blitz to save his life but none of his WRs did him any favors either. Except Decker, he played really well imo.

  6. A friend offered me tickets to go to this game. I'll probably go. Might be the last time I'll see Manning play live.

I'm going too. You should definitely go. You're right about this being the last chance you might get to see him live, but also, he could set the career td pass record that game. As far as QB records go, I think that's the most highly thought of one after single season td passes. Any time you get a chance to witness history, you should seize it.

Weather wise: it should be chilly, but no rain.

  7. When they lose the next two games should Ryan get fired knowing the team never stood much of a chance to begin with against thwe Bronco and Pats? I mean at this stage is their any reason to make a coachinmg change knowing what the season probably wil hold. Recall when the Colts were without Manning and were a disaster. At least we knew there would be next year...........what is next year for the Jets? The coach and GM dislike each other and what if they draft a QB and he refuses to play for them? It has happened before.

The owner will fire everybody at the end of the season, and start fresh next year. Rex will be sought after as a DC. He's the type of guy you hire if you have skilled defensive players that haven't lived up to their potential.

  8. I don't think the Patriots lose more than 4, I just don't see it. Plus, I feel another AFC North team makes the wild card and not 2 AFC West teams, the Chiefs had a cushy schedule where they beat up on easier teams last year like the AFC South folks other than the Colts (that they lost to) plus the lousy Giants, Redskins, Raiders, Browns and Bills last year. This year, it won't be easy for them with both the Broncos and Chargers being better, IMO and playing the NFC West where outside the Rams, I don't see them going 4-0 vs the NFC like they did last year, that will be the main difference.

It could very well end up as three 12-4 teams with the Broncos, Colts, Patriots and all their head-to-head meetings deciding the seedings. If I am an AFC team, I'd like to avoid the #4 seed where I will play the Broncos or Chargers first.

Chiefs only have 5 potential losses imo. Broncos, chargers twice, arizona, and seattle. I could see them winning one of them and get to 9 wins. Ravens are the only other good team in the afc, but I think they'll fall just short because of their "elite qb."

I don't think the pats are that good on offense. Brady can't throw deep at all on the outside. Even last week, all he did was fake play action from shotgun and throw it to a wide open tight end down the middle. Eventually teams should start to realize that they need to fill up the middle with defenders and make brady and his WRs beat them on the outside. I am a fan of that defense, but I still see them with tough games vs us, the broncos, packers, lions, bears, chargers, and their division could give them a challenge on the road.

  9. Why dont they just change the name to the Washington Native Americans?

They can keep all the hats and logos....honor the Indians.. and who in Washington DC wouldn't want to play for the

    'Americans"

Its politically correct in the ultimate Politically correct city

Could you do that though? Wouldn't that be like saying the Indianapolis Whites, or the Philadelphia African Americans, or the Houston Hispanics? Someone, somewhere will still get very upset.

  10. wow 49ers and St. Louis next Monday?

Those are not 2 offensive machines

that's on the 49ers though. They should be: when your 4th WR is that freak, spectacular-grab artist known as Llyod, and Stevie Johnson is your 3rd WR, your top two WRs are legit number ones, and you have the most dynamic TE in the game, with a stud RB who defies age, then you should be lighting it up.

I watched the Rams this week vs the Eagles. They are awful defensively.  If the 49ers don't put up at least 30 and blow them out, then their fans should be very worried.

  11. You would think the DE or an OLB on the side away from the flow of the play could simply go get Russell on every play

If its not a fake, He isn't going to affect the play chasing it from behind anyway

And if it is a fake, he'll have a clean shot at crushing him

  12. anyone else notice they moved the line before and after the replay to make it look like he didn't cross it

anyone else notice they moved the line before and after the replay to make it look like he didn't cross it

    Ok so I'm not insane!
