lennymoore, you're judging a guy on one quarter play? I thought he looked good in his debut. Of course he made mistakes and will continue to do so at times. He threw some nice passes and they could have scored after he rushed near the goal line if it weren't for the penalty. Give Richardson a chance!

The game is televised on my local CBS station. I'm looking forward to see Richardson play, even if it's only for a quarter.

He deserves the extension. Has done well with the Cowboys.

I got confused with all the contract negotiations throughout the NFL. JT isn't a free agent, as many explained to me.
Jim Irsay is walking back his earlier comments, saying that the tweet wasn't about Taylor. He was referring to the general RB situation. Irsay claimed that negotiations haven't began. Maybe Irsay should have made that clear in the first place. He' has good points as an owner, but sometimes needs to stay in the background. Or at least think before speaking and getting everyone upset.

The Jets. I'm interested to see how well Aaron Rodgers does with his new team.
I'm also keeping track of the Broncos to see if Sean Payton and Russell Wilson can change the dynamics of the team.

JT's agent doesn't think that the situation can be fixed. Maybe he will end up testing the free agent market, after all. I'm not confident that Taylor will remain in Indy.

Isn't tomorrow, July 17, the deadline for contracts? We should be hearing something soon.

Too many variables to predict his contract. The way things are going with QBs it could past 500 million by the time his second contract rolls around., if he does well.

I didn't attend the game, though it would have been fun. Maybe my post wasn't clear. I watched it at home. Thought the game would be closer, but how could they stop Alex McGough? I live in a state over, so maybe sometime I'll get to Canton to see a game.

Former Colts player Deon Cain was the MVP in yesterday's USFL championship game. He scored three touchdowns to lead the Stallions to victory: 28-12. He didn't have many catches, but made them all count.
Congratulations to Birmingham and to Cain! The Maulers had a good season, but were outplayed.

I predict that some posters will declare Anthony Richardson a "bust' with his first loss.

Mixed opinions on this. I am optimistic about this season. New coach, new QB and certain players who were injured are getting healthy. Not thinking playoffs this early, but things can only improve after last season.
Arodgers12, how do you think the Packers will do this season?
-
I want to see Pittsburgh win the Championship, as I often go for the underdog. I like to watch Alex McGough, though. If he plays like he did Sunday, the Maulers will have a difficult time trying to catch up.
Wonder if some NFL teams have McGough on their radar, along with the Stallions kicker.

I expect Birmingham and New Orleans to be a high scoring game.
I have no idea what Michigan and Pittsburgh will be like Neither team made the playoffs last season, but the Maulers dominated the Panthers during the regular season. Michigan might be due for revenge.

I see the name Adam Rank in the url, so I know to ignore it completely
Dude is so bad at predicting things, and is still a salty bears fan
Never trust Adam Rank in fantasy football. I learned the hard way. Actually ever trust any of his predictions.

Maybe 1. Not many players were chosen in past supplemental drafts.

I won some money in the past weeks by betting on Memphis. They have won five straight games now. I tried a two game parlay bet, but it didn't work out. I had Memphis but didn't win anything because I bet on the Philadelphia Stars also and they lost.
I probably won't do parlays too often,

I am happy today. ESPN and other analysts never gave Miami a chance. Everyone seemed to be on the Celtics bandwagon. What do they know? Even though the Celtics were favored, I had a feeling that the Heat would come back to life. I didn't win a lot because the bet was small, but I have an extra amount in my account. That's always a good start to the day.

My bold prediction is that the Colts will win in Jacksonville this season.

I'm really not much into basketball, but with all the hype about the Heat-Celtics game I placed a small wager on Miami. They are the underdogs, and would bring me a larger payout than going with the Celtics. I wouldn't win a fortune, but a small amount is good, and it's fun. If I lose, no big deal as I don't spend much.

I like watching International games. I noticed that the location is in Frankfurt instead of Munich. Perhaps expanding throughout the country.
Also, no Mexico game. it could be that traveling there has gotten too dangerous lately.
-
I'm not upset since I had no expectations. The game was entertaining. Now have to see what happens in the off season. The Colts still aren't in last place.

Naheim Hines returned a kickoff for a Bills touchdown. WTG Hines!

A poster on another forum mentioned that a QB needs to have the right mental makeup in order to be successful. They can have talent and athleticism, but being a QB in the NFL also requires a certain mental attitude. If the QB lets mistakes bother him and starts to have doubts, then he won't go far. Much of it depends on the training he receives from coaches. If the coaches can work with the QB and develop his skills along with the right mindset, that is a good start.
