Against Stanford, this kid looks pretty bad. I officially am against drafting him. But he does look like he would be a good zone corner.
-
Notice the Terrible play calling by Lame Kiffen, 2 to -2 yard passes all day. Was he on Drugs?
-
As I've said, I have not really watched or scouted NCAA football this year, mostly because of Lame Kiffin and what he did to my favorite team...but as I look at this tape of this kid vs. Oregon, I'm vary wary of drafting him. I have to look at more film tough, but looks like the draft breakdown guys have been slacking it this year.
-
I don't care how tall he is, or how much he weighs, or his 40 time, I didn't do too much scouting this year, but last year I scouted this guy, and I've been watching him since high school. When your breakdown tape against the no. 3 team in the country looks like a striaght highlight realm..
I mean, A year after Mathieu and Russel Wilson, were still having this Height Conversations.
and for those that like hits

I don't think anybody on here advocated for us picking Fleener than me. All this really makes no sense. He should be making major gains by the time the end of the season draws near. But if it makes you feel better, Fleener looks now what Dallas Clark looks like now. So maybe, in time, Fleener will Look like Clark use to look when he was a boss.

Okay, Luck took a lot of sacks, but I think it was because he didn't want to put up any picks on risky throws...smart plays, but it lead to a few too many 3 and outs in the 2nd half which gave Pryor all day to play Madden 2001 on us and run all about the field.
If it were not for Laron Landry's speed and instinct, we would have been down 2 touchdowns before the 4th Quarter started. He was literally in on every play, running and playing his heart out. This guy is the saving grace of out D. That little extra effort allowed, chasing down the TE on the blown coverage and forcing 3rd and 4th downs chasing down pryor is what allowed us to get back in the game.
Props to Freeman, and Toler who also played extremely well.

Chargers must not be playing at the time. Good news for me, I didn't get NFL sunday ticket yet.

what is the earliest possible time you can get the charger tickets?

Is because stats in college don't matter.
I think they do matter.
Look At Elvis Dummerville's stats in College, dude had 13 sacks and 15 FF. He wen't in like the what 4th round. He had ideal size and speed and he was glossed over.
Stats aren't everything, but...E.J. manual and the Syracuse QB had major accurracy problems yet were considered high picks and 1 even taken in the first round.
People are listening to Mayok too much or something.
Casey Heyward for another example, dude had like 20 Passes defensed...think those didn't matter.
When you play top competition and you come up with good stats, that says something.

Geno Smith, 42 TD to 7 INTS, The year before that 31 TD to 6 INTS
Matt Barkley, Do I even need to state stats
Robert Woods, 76 cathes and 11 TD while injured
Stedman Bailey, 25 TD and 114 Catches, 3rd rounder?
Alex Okafor 14 Sacks
Not to mentions T.J Mcdonald, Sam Montgomery, Damontre Moore. Shariff Floyd all the way down to 23?
Manti Teo, over 100 tackes 4 Pass Breakups and 7 INT's
Yet, David Amerson has proven himself to be a bum and Margus Hunt has proven nothing...but these guys go in the 2nd round.
I can't wait to see what happens this year.

OMG I love this dude, USC Trojans for life.
If you think all this guy can do is Block, you are sadly mistaken. This guy gave major headaches to defenses in College. I was hoping we drafted him when he was first eligible.
-
Wasn't this guy a top 15 pick at some point?
Yes, But the whole USC squad's Draft stock plummeted because of overall poor performances, which in my opinion was the Fault of Lame Kiffen, as I like to call him, and his dad's terrible coaching.
-
It's funny Becuase Hunter and Woods are obiouvsly the 2 best recievers...Hopkins is basically tied with Hunter IMO, But Woods and Hunter have gotten the stick.
The best case scenario is if Geno Falls to the 15-20 and Barkely is available where we pick...OMG, Imagine the Desperation, We could get a first for next year if Barkely is still available.
-
I'm a big USC fan, and without any bias, I can say that Robert Woods is Hands down the best WR in this class. Why he has fallen, I assume their are two explanations.
1. A slight concussion and ankle injury.
2. Overshadowed by Marquis Lee
If you watch Lame Kiffen, you can see why Marquis Lee overshadowed Woods and why Nelson Algholar overshadowed both in some games.
Kiffen called so many slant and out routes it was ridiculous. You can even hear Barkely say their offence was too predictable. Many of Woods Catches were for 4-6 yards and, once in a while he and Lee would get you an extra 10 yards. Many of Barkely's problems and the offense as the whole was our inability to run and the simplicity of our passing game.
I think with a new young team, we can't afford to start loosing picks. If we are looking for a WR, Woods is a steal at anything after the first 10 picks, despite what the experts say.

With the 30th pick in the draft the Falcons select Sam Montgomery
-

With The 6th Pick in the draft the Cleaveland brown select Barkevious Mingo, OLB LSU
-
With the 1st pick in the Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select Lule Joeckel, OT, TAMU

I think he has good field awareness, and good instinct but not a killer one. I think he would be better in a zone type defence.
