Grigson not signing anyone isn't a bad thing.

But sure... let's pay Osemele 11m and Jenkins 12m and Jackson 15m...

FAs are WAAAAYYYY overpaid this year

Dude, we say that every year. N you know what happens, they get more expensive the next year, and even more the year after that. It's no excuse. Vontea on the Market today would be making way more money. If we cant get Osemele at 11 now or Jenkins at 12 now it better than getting them at 9 when they are washed up.

  2. There I said it.

I been a fan since 1998, and been on the Forum since then. The one time we signed a player we wanted (Booger McFarland) to help with a absurdly obvious hole in our D-Line, we went to and won the Super bowl. (Thanx to him, Bob Sanders and Freeney)

Ever year, for the Past 20 years, we do the same crap. Pay somebody, who can barely be considered decent, a crapload of money, watch them regress into the less than mediocre player all the fans recognize them as, and then we release them and nobody signs em. In the meantime we try to plug holes with aging nobodies that sometimes contribute, but regress and disappear the same.

Remember when we got Vontea Davis for that Second Rounder. What happened that day? Can the same thing happen because this is just ridiculous. Grow a pair front office.

Andrew Luck makes this team a Ferrari. Stop going to the Pick a Part and drive it into the dealer for new parts.

  3. I'm tried of people saying that Fleener cant block. I watched all his tapes coming out of the draft, and not only did he Block better than Dwayne, he block better than some Undrafted guards when at UCLA.

And he did a darn good Job in the NFL blocking. (Ask youself, how many time did you say "Dammit Fleener whiffed on that block""

People just assume because he is fast that his blocking techniques are trash, he was an excellent blocker.

The only thing about Coby is he didn't play competitively, he complained a lot about getting the ball and he went down too easy. He rarely ever one jump balls which was weird because he's so tall. But I don't know who you all saw Dwayne blocking, except the Water boy. If you guys want to keep shelling out cash to injury prone tweeners, go ahead and support it, I'm not tolerating it anymore.

All that would say is that the league values Fleener less than Allen, just as the Colts do. You know, because Allen is better.

I would not be surprised at all if he gets less than Allen.

How exactly is Allen better when he didn't produce more, block better or stay on the field more the last 4 years. How? We had a 6'6 TE that ran a 4.4 fourty, and decent run and pass blocking skills,  and did almost nothing with him in regards to his physical ability. No, I don't like it. We better get a corner in this free agency to give our poor pass rush time to get pressure.

  5. I don't care what anybody says. This signing was completely ridiculous. Fleener has 150 catches the last 3 years compared to this guys 75. And he hasn't done much but sit on the bench.

We did this same crap with Rob Morris. Remember how much money we gave that bum, and let Cato June Walk. We Let Peterson Walk, but we made sure that out FAT out of shape linebackers Gilbert and Morris were paid well. And we ignored the top 50 best Free Agents at all cost.

We are so friggin close to being a complete team on both sides of the ball and we will not take a shot, but keep trying....man I'm done. This is not me being irrational, but when you team keeps doing the same thing for 18 years, you can't help but ask does anybody want to win?

  6. We might as well gear up for an early playoff exit again.

Alex Mack needs to be our number 1 player targeted. Then Zane Beadles if he leaves.

Or Alex Mack and Kruger or Mario Williams if they Leave.

We must have a Shut down corner, and Solid Pass Rusher a Center and a Guard...IT's all we need.

Stop bargain shopping and get the guys who make a difference.

The last time we went and got Booger McFarland, a type of fat DT we been begging for years. We won a Superbowl. Every one know we need a Guard a Center and a Pass Rusher.

Every very successful team had 2...count em 2 very good shut down corners last year. Lets add one more. Take a damn chance FO.

Since were more likely to have a productive pass rusher first year or guard I say we go that direction in the draft.

This team is simultaneously getting older and less productive as the years have past. We need to take a chance, or just keep sailing on a sinking ship.

  7. That was literally the dumbest play I've ever seen called. A time out at anytime could have prevented that. I havent posted here for years, but I had to comeback and say something has to be done about the play calling or these coaches. Considering where the spot of the ball was, I am mortified that was even allowed to play out.

  8. you're right it's the play calling and the non adjustments..but you have to look at luck take the sack or throw it out of bounds he launches it forward which has been something he's always done

Luck use to be very disciplined about make bad throws. He would usually eat that sack. Not this year tough. The online is serviceable, but they obviously aren't good enough to handle blitzing from 2 of the top 5 defenses on plays that take 4 to 5 seconds to develop. Play call adjustments need to be made immediately, because our front seven is doing fantastic and they don't need to loose confidence because we aren't scoring.

  9. This unit definitely isn't "Elite", Luck has been hit 54 times last in the league. The second most is the Jets at 39. But, we have only allowed 2 sacks, tied for 3rd in the league.

    What an enigma???

Why don't I blame the O-line. Because game 1 we were exposed. We came into this season overly confident in our offense ability to dominate in the air...it didn't happen. Not a lot of slants, outs or curls. There are a lot of lengthy drawn out plays, lots of streaks and post. Because Our O-line isn't elite, we cannot depend on the talent level at receiver to execute those plays.

Game 1 we finished the first half with 20 passes and like only 3 rushes.

We are beating ourselves with the bad play calling, and our O-coordinator, Luck and head coach appear to be missing this fact. The secondaries we faced week 1 and week 2 are good enough to slow us down, we did not adapt, nobody was open, the line couldn't hold up against the constant blitzing that long, therefore they looked weak.

I think, considering the talent of the front 7 they faced in the first 2 weeks, they did surprisingly well. If we ran more, and dunked to our TE more and targeted shorter throws and instead of trying to be the 07 colts, Luck would not have been hit nearly as much.

    What do you think?

  10. The point is that these draft prospects are proven and, and most projected as 1st probably will stay there. The internet has proven a great tool for scouting, and in 2017, the draft will be CRAWLING with gigantic 6-6, 6-7 Offensive guards and tackles. And next year, the guys are gonna be more pro ready probably than any other class.

The DE's are gonna have productions matching the WR or last year's draft, I'm talking Sacks Sacks Sacks. That what I see, I will be heavily covering scouting on this board this year Like I did in 2012 and 2013. Of which, I was only really wrong about Alshon Jeffreys being Terrible.

  11. I'm talking about players who can be Elite. Like Adrian Peterson. There a lot of hometown heroes here. Some from my area were Tryon smith who was a top 20 recruit out of high school. Players who were 5 star rivals and went in the first round are usually a success about 75 percent of the time. And the best players, Altough, JJ watt may have only been a 2 star recruit, Luck I think was a 3 star, so it's not written in stone, but I think there are too many elite high school former high school legends turned elite college players in this class coming up to expect nothing but greatness from many of them.

  12. Almost every projected 1st round pick was a 5 star high school recruit. I haven't seen that in the last 8 years I've been following high school recruiting. That means next years draft will have guys who have been productive on the field and in top competition since they were 15 years old.

    Here the 2013 Recruiting class

    http://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-rivals100/2013

Check out any Mock draft for next year and almost everybody is there from this class. Next year's draft will be special, especially for the defense hungry teams.

  13. Sam played excellent in the preseason. Dude put up 3 sacks. How he didn't make the team...I'll tell you why, Same reason Tebow doesn't play, the same reason Manziel wont get the start...Teams don't like media frenzies at their practices.

  14. If Jouyner is gone and Ward is still there and there are some saftey hungry teams in front of us...then maybe i'd consider, but seeing we are loosing picks left and right on risky players, i'd just stay where I was and draft the BPA.

Hopefully somebody out there think Bucannon (who has terrible tape) is a better prospect because of his speed and he and dix are the first 2 safeties, I mean, really, i think there are so many teams set at safety already, that all those guys might fall, there could be a good chance Ward falls to us.

I think Ward is almost as good of a player as Jouyner, but his size makes him a better bet. My Heart says Lamarcus but my Head says Ward.

  15. Martin is a solid pass blocker...Not great...He is not a mauler, He had one play where he showed it at 1:51....Other then that he is not consistent at it

I wouldn't call him a Mauler either, but there is usually 1 or 2 "Maulers" in each draft and they are 1st rounders. He is a solid, solid blocker, he DOES NOT get pushed back....but, I watched some more tapes and he has problems with stunts. Other than that....If he is there in the 3rd, grab him

I just watched a bunch of tape on David Yankey and Dion Bailey too. I'm pretty high on them. My Best Safties list so far, based on play,  including Dix is Lamarcus Jouyner, Jimmy Ward and Dion Bailey. Everyone else is hyped.

  16. Yeah, but we are lacking depth at O-line, We may need Holmes to move to guard or a guy like Martin throughout the year. Holmes can definitely play guard. I don't know about Martin at Guard, but we definitely need more depth. I don't like Bucannon at all, but I'd take a risk on Brooks, but not in the second.

That's why I'd love Jouyner and Martin to start off our draft.
