  1. I watched a few tapes on Hughes and I noticed he looked like a completely different player when standing up. I can wait to see what he does. After what happened to Ijalalna (sp?) and the lack of confidence that people may have about Anthony Constanza....we really need players like Hughes to work out. We got a Top QB for dirt cheap thanx to the new rules, and we already have lots of money to spend next year...our down time if we have any if guys like Allen and Fleener, and Avery,Brazil REdding, Zibikowski and Luck all work out...which would be a small miracle...out team could be real contenders in the next few years.

If they do, I mean, We draft a CB hear, Get a FA olineman there, Develop a FA over Mier (cartmans voice) and we are a solid solid team.

  2. I think Fleener had a couple nice catches today, at least thats what I thought I heard the announcer say during practice a couple times, Now I dont recall hearing much about Allen at all today

If anybody ever Watched Allen, you would see that 90% of the time he is lined up in the H-Back position, something very few teams have formation for anymore. I didn't wan't Allen for 2 reasons.

I didn't know how he would due lined up parallel to the O-lineman and He is runs pretty slow and sloppy routes.

I did like his blocking and his hands and although he is slow, his run after the catch is impressive. So to hear how well he is doing makes me feel good about picking him.

I think the Problem with Fleener is, he didn't get the ball a WHOLE lot at stanford, because Stanford, when facing a tough opponent would run run run run run. The NFL is more open, so maybe he is getting the ball more than he is used to. But like I said, I think well see how good he is on Sunday...you can never tell how good a TE is in practice.

  3. I've been saying from the beggining, even in a post 2 days ago that fleeeners blocking ability is solid. Watch the Stanford UCLA game. And Like I said, Fleener gonna be one of those guys who we won't know what he can do until preseason like Jeremy Shockey and Sean Taylor.

  4. I think Fleener is one of those guys who gonna really show out during the Pre-season in his first year. Much like Jeremy Shocky did...or Midway through the season like Antonio Gates. 90 percent of TE with Fleeners size and skill set are successful in the NFL, it would be very strange if he didn't work out.

I was not sold on Fleener until I watch and Rewatch the tape I had available of him and out of him Jenkins and Upshaw, I chose Fleener as my hopeful pick. I'm sure UPshaw will be good, but seeing as we had no quality TE, I don't see how Fleener can be a bad pick, unless he had some type of bad Work ethic we didn't anticipate or evaluate.

  5. Good post young man . I think maybe you have it in a nutshell.

Yeah, anybody who has a problem with Fleener didn't watch too much pac 10 football. 6'6 sup 4.4 fourty, 37 inch verticle, solid run blocker...above average for his style of play (watch the stanford vs ucla game for proff) good hands.

i honestly didn't like Allen because his route running is sub par, but he does have great hands and after the catch ability. But since we got Fleener, I was happy we got Allen, because they will play off each other.

As far as who should start? I guess it depends on what set we are running.

  6. Ben completed 63.2 percent of his passes, thats good for 6th best .3 behind Staffords 63.5, Bens career completion percentage is 63.1 jusf for comparison Peyton Manning completion percentage for his career is 64.9 or just a difference of 1.8. Tom Bradys is 63.8 or .6 better. Ben has done very good for himself

Well than let me rephrase....I know people will disagree, but Luck Reminds me a lot of Ben Roethlisberger...the end

  7. Ashlon is deffinately too slow. Look at the tape again. He gets zero Seperation. He is so slow that Jenkins wrongly undercut a route and still caught up to Jeffrey's before the ball got to him. There was a td where Boykin was stuck to him for 60 friggin yards.

Only reason he had a td is because he is tall. This has mike Williams, Dwayne jerret written all over it. No draft for me, definitely not.

You have to seperate in this league
