  1. Mike McGlynn and Brody Eldridge can also long snap so that gives us 5. When the Colts were thinned out at TE in 2010 Snow could not be used there so he is not versatile. Miller and Eldridge can both play TE while McGlynn can play G or C. Overton can play LB. Someones' versatility will probably get Snow cut.

As it should be. We can't continue to use a roster spot on someone who only long snaps.

  2. We were ranked 15th against the pass last year. 26th in rushing. That tells me we need a run game more than we need a CB. I'd take Lamar Miller or Doug Martin in the 2nd. However, they'll likely go in the first. If that's the case, there will likely be no RB worth it until the 4th round. It's still a big need.

How do you know that 26th rushing offense doesn't have more to do with the OL personnel than the RB personnel?

That's probably why we've signed or traded for 3 new OL starters already, don't you think?

  3. I'm not sure I like the black jersey on the alternate...if we go with any other color other than our Blue and White, then I guess gray is ok. But no black for me (my opinion only).

I'm with Ohio Colt. The home uniform must stay the same classic look it always has been.

How would grey look with blue pants and a white helmet, though?

How about this.....no alternative uniform at all!

  4. I would change that a bit.

Home - Blue Jersey, Blue Pants, White Helmet

Away - White Jersey, Blue Pants, White Helmet

Alternate - Silver Jersey, Blue Pants, White Helmet

Actually I like your away idea better than mine, so here's my adjustment:

Home - White Helmet, Blue Jersey, White Pants

Away - White Helmet, White Jersey, Blue Pants

Alternate - White Helmet, Black Jersey, Blue Pants

  5. The fact that these 4 players have not been picked up by any other team yet validates the correctness of Grigson's move to release them.

    Absolutely correct.

There's alot of unrealistic people on here with their heads in the clouds, i've noticed. People that I am thankful will never be involved in any decision making for the Indianapolis Colts. These people wouldn't have seen a problem with a starting OL next year consisting of: Castonzo-Reitz-Saturday-Tepper-Linkenbach; people who's ideal DT combo would be Antonio Johnson and Eric Foster; people who would have had no issue with Jacob Lacey and Joe Lefeged being 2 of our 4 starting DB's; people who think Gary Brackett is a top NFL middle linebacker.

  6. Hilarious how many people on here whined incessantly about Clark, Addai, Bullitt and Brackett being cut.....some even claimed those cuts to be the last straw with them as far as being Colts fans.....yet, those 4 haven't been deemed by ANY of the 31 other NFL teams yet as being worthy of being signed as free agents.

  7. I can't argue with you. He is a great teammate, puts his all into every play, and has made a few memorable plays. But overall, he's average at best. Too small for DT, too slow for DE.

    Agree with both of you.

Almost as laughable as Bill Polian assembling a roster that required Jacob Lacey & Joe Lefeged to be starters in a 4 man defensive backfield, was him trying to pass off Eric Foster as an NFL DT.

I get on my knees and thank the Lord every day for the Polians no longer being associated with the Indianapolis Colts.

  8. To think coming out of college Kelvin was a WR. Polian must have saw something very special in the guy. He was nice for us but yes he got too expensive.

Back when Polian was actually good at his job.

  9. I see him being a good #3 RB and providing good depth. Looked really good in the preseaosn last year. He has a good mix of power and speed. Would like to have him on the team.

Yep, agreed. I see him as a solid #3 who might be able to step in here or there when need be.

  10. Why does ev1 think WR is a need?We have WRs we dont have NT or CB or TEs?Wr at 2 makes no sense grab streeter in 4th carry on.Needs at WR ? We have wrs we do not have CBs.Or NTs or route running TEs them are needs WR is a want.

Totally agree. We need a NT, TE & CB way more than we do a WR.

  11. http://bleacherrepor...nerbacks/page/2

I had to laugh when I saw this and figured I'd share it with you guys. This means that if each team averages 3.3 CBs on this list, he is the worst of all those CBs. By that estimate, he would make for a very average dime back.....when teams go 4 wide he gets the worst WR, for those who don't know the terminology.

    Sounds about right.

Think about it: Bill Polian cut Kelvin Hayden before last season, with full knowledge that Jacob Lacey would be his replacement as a starter in the National Football League.

  12. Taping hand signals is a weak argument, ok so they taped hand motions, well they would still have to figure out what those hand motions might have meant even with taping them, while cheating is wrong, they have always had alot of talent and the fact that they were caught cheating still dont account for the fact that you have to make the play and that game film is always recorded

    Huh?

They taped the signals, then watched what play was run, then matched the play to the corresponding signal. How is that in any way, shape or form "weak"? Pretty easy to win games when you know exactly what defensive play your opponent is going to run.

And evidently Roger Goodell didn't think it was "weak" either. That's why Belichick was fined 500,000, the largest amount ever imposed on a coach in the history of the NFL, & the team fined $250,000 and docked a first round pick.

Like it or not, those 3 Super Bowls are tainted.
