  1. Yeah I wanted to see him go to the 9ers but the Broncos do have massive cap room and some really promising young talent. Its a more promising situation than Tennessee for sure.

Yep, hopefully they get Saturday ( comfort for peyton to decode all the languages ) and Mike wallace.

I am a bit worried about their defense ( the way Brady destroyed them in the play offs ).

    Time will tell.

  2. The one good thing about the Broncos is the weakness of that division.

Division is weak but Manning struggled against Chargers and Romeo's defense. Thats 4 games within the division.

But i think its Eli which was the deciding factor.

Got to love the guy to do it for family rather than being selfish and go to 49ers.

  3. From Peyton's view

Tennesse - Home town, Family state,Comfort, Accomodating owner, Decent team, AFC.

Denver - Full freedom, decent team,Comfort, an EX-QB who understands it, AFC.

SF - Best team of all 3, Eli factor, With Jim Harbaugh, will he get enough freedom.

I think it will boil down to family, freedom and comfort.

Peyton's decision will explain what he wants.

  4. Did you know one full stop and one comma sneaked into your post there fella? Nearly ruined the flow.....

Just pulling your leg. I get what you are saying apart from the last bit from 'Mural' onwards.....

I did. Entered them in separate lines. Something happend, when i saved it.

Last line, what i meant is Colts is history and people in indiana are back to where they were before 1998 ( basketball ) and Peyton offering Irsay if he needs to endorse his name to resurrect.

  5. Its not like Peyton is sitting in a beach and having teams wait on him.

The guy is super busy everyday travelling, throwing, examining for various teams.

Its rubbish to call he is creating a scene.

Media is media. They are doing their job.

  6. I agree that he is very talented and certainly not an average Joe. However, he doesn't do all the things a football team does; he doesn't block, doesn't tackle, doesn't play defense, doesn't control who throws the ball, etc. When a coach like Rex makes the statement, it has more weight to it because he directly controls all aspects of the team. But when a receiver who only plays when he wants to makes the statement, I can't take it seriously.

Of course, i am sure he meant he has confidence in his team's ability. Not doing it all by himself.

    Sure, those are bold statements.

Ok, you want him "arrogant". He is arrogant. Happy? :-).

  7. I think he's arrogant regardless. He hasn't done what the best receivers in the league have done. His numbers don't come close to what Fitz, Andre, and Calvin have done...and neither does his attitude. He is more of a deep threat, rather than a receiver than can run all the routes

He is also a punt returner which none of the receivers you mentioned. Look, he is a talented guy. No doubt on that.

Of course, he sounds cocky but he is not an average joe either.

I will stay quiet and give his time ( he said 5 yrs ). If he doesnt win, then yes, we can bash all we want.

And absolutely, you are entitled to your opinion.

  8. If you can back it up, it's confidence. If you can't, it's arrogance. He has the potential and physical tools, but he didn't show up last year. That, in my book, is arrogance.

He got 5 years to prove it. If he doesnt win in 5 years, then based on your definition he is called arrogant.

On contract drama, yes he is bound to honor the contract which he didnt.

More appropriate words for him right now are "immature" and not "smart".

  9. i would rather him nnot to go the 49ers. That would be too scary in that team. If they dont win the Super Bowl too then it would all be under Peyton's shoulders being the next Lebron James...(even if he only has 1 SB)

Lebron comparison is not the right anology. Heat wasnt in need of Lebron, Lebron needed Heat.

Both Heat and Peyton have won championships without Lebron and 49ers respectively.

But yes, it will fall on Peyton's shoulder mostly if they dont win unless their punt returner fumbles more than 4 times.

  10. final terms still negotiated once team is picked, 5 year , 90 million is starting negotiating point but doubt will change much as based on what would of got from colts , unless Bud adams goes nuts big difference is they said in my OP

    Manning’s contract is expected to

include protections for a team in regard to his repeated neck problems

, and the structure could vary from the original deal.

soteams will be protected if neck injured, to what level we dont know

    There you go

  11. wow thats 18 a year for a 36 year old qb coming off four neck surgeries.

Supposedly, he is playing the way Peyton is known to play. I mean Elway, Peyton's former coach, Stokley have vouched for him. They have no reason to lie.

Nothing wrong giving him the money he was going to earn in his previous contract. I am sure they have an exit clause if injury gets worse.
