Luck not starting week 1 or 2 is not going to derail our season. At worst we go 0-2 and we've been there before with Luck. The defense just didn't cut us any breaks last year. We lost 3 games we should've won last year and the defense didn't hold. An upgraded rushing attack and a turnover happy defense will make us a lot better.
We go 0-2 every year so nth gonna be different

Luck gonna miss the first 2-4 weeks
Colts never get guys back fast from injury and keep him on the pup list doe what for them, keeps him away from The media or something? Cause he could practice but just not suit up etc...

Maybe they want to get heag for Rg money and Lg never know

Agree to disagree lol. JMO, but I think Haeg has a lot of potential, and like I said above. I feel he can become a top 20 Guard in the NFL. Which is really good as there's a lot of good Guards. But IMO. Haeg's main issue is getting stronger. If he's added strength, with a year of experience I think he can be our guy at RG, and have a really good season. If he can just take that big step and become a really good G, the RT spot can just work itself out between Clark, Banner, and Good. I think its reasonable to expect a major improvement in our OL this year. Its great that Haeg played a ton, and now has a full year under his belt, and Clark got some much needed snaps and experience, as did Good. IMO. The RT spot is Clarks to lose, but Good and Banner will probably be challenging him. That's great. It should motivate everyone, and bring the best out of them.
I agree with you , but the way I see it shaping up is Clark Rt to much length and potential, I eventually see him taking over the Lt spot in 2 years and constanzo moving to Rt and he will get a 3rd contract but at Rt money , but I would really like to have a mauler like banner but I don't see him beating out clark, heag, good for them spots tbh. What do you think

Yes, and Basham pushed him back in the pocket with ease. Would have pushed him in a QB's face.. Shows Basham's strength.
As for Banner. Lets see how he looks. Haeg and Clark are probably our guys on the right side to begin with. Both have the potential to be top notch at their positions. Banner's got a lot of potential, but he's raw. If Clark struggles, maybe Banner will be able to take over by the middle of the year.
I like good str over heag but heag can move better

A lot of people are saying he's not going to be able to play corner in the NFL. They think he's best suited at safety. IMO. That's bull __. I see a very, very talented corner back prospect with the ability to be a number 1, and at worst a very good number 2 corner. He has the tools to be a physical, lockdown, press man corner who'll immediately step in as our number 2 oppo Vontae and flourish as a rookie. He'll have his ups and downs, but I think he's gonna be very good from week 1 on, and end up being a great pick. I just think he's a corner all day and I don't get why everybody is doubting this. In fact, I would say the ones who think he'll end up being a safety don't know football very well. But yeah. I wanted to see what people thought. So what's everybody's opinions, thoughts, etc ??????
I see a Aqib Talib type of impact with his size and ball skills

He is still a rookie who has not seen a lot of football, so I expect growing pains
-
This just got me thinking about Chris Ballard talking about competition at every position like I feel like there is competition at a lot more positions than we used to, like Nt, all Lb, le, re, cb, ss, fs basically the entire def, weather or not is good competition is tbd

Spence is a great pick up. That may be a bit optimistic about Walker. He's a smart player but I'm not sure he's going to start over Bostic, Jackson, or even Morrison this year.
It's really Spence vs jackson Ilb
And bostic vs Morrison vs walker mlb

Haeg will be our RG IMO. I'm sure he's gotten stronger, and he now has a full year under his belt. I cant wait to see how Haeg and Clark look on the right side. But yeah referring to Haeg. He has the potential to be a very good starting guard.
Heag needs to put on about 15 lbs also 295 and 6'6 ,think is part of the issue with his str
-
But I still believe if Clark develops good from spread to pro style off, with his physical tool that he will eventually supplement contanzo onces we can safely get out his contract
-
Good vs haeg as a guard, I think if good awareness has improved he has the better physical tools for guard ,and we know Ballard likes size at least that what his moves has shown me so far.

My problem with that is, why move a safety that can't cover to CB?
He has no awareness

I would like to see Joe Haeg get reps at his natural position at LT. That spot is really overlooked. Anthony Canstonzo has been inconsistent since signing his new deal. I'm not the only one to notice this about his play. I like Clark at RT that's only way I'm saying Haeg should be given a chance to play on the left side. Thoughts?
Clark is the guy who should take over lt
