When it comes down to it, If you are in a meaningfull game, important situation at work, that would have to take priority over all else. With out your work, how do you pay your life's bills. Why do you think women make less money than men in the job market. Buisnesses and corporations cant have upper management taking maternity leave to have kids.

Peyton is not just a team asset. He represents the City, NFL and all that is good about professional sports. He is an icon and money maker on so many levels. Irsay would pay Manning to watch another QB play.Peyton himself would not remain on the field with deminished skills. Possibility of him playing for another team is zero, no matter what the cost. You have to get his replacement now.

Being that most of the coaching is done out of our site. When nothing is done to adjust or remedy the game situation, then can we assume there is no coaching being done during the game?Ah, often actually. No more or less than any other coach. Those looking for more "fire" should realize that if your team won't perform without being yelled at or intimidated or encouraged as they are standing on the sidelines, then you already have a serious problem. The vast majority of the coaching is done out of our line of site.

I paid 300+ dollars for NFL ticket this year. Have done this for the last 10 years. All this to only see them fail on regular TV almost every year. Yes , almost covers 9 out of 10 years. Getting past one and done 3 out of 10 has been hard. If they retain Caldwell and do something stupid draft day, or just do nothing, then I will stop buying the package. Getting old enough to realize this game simply is not that important in the scheme of things. I can always catch them up the coast in Jacksonville once a year. 50 bucks, a couple of beers and they loose, whatever!

Yeh you would think. however, a story is put up on the web site " Caldwell gains experience in 2011". are the Colts going to write off a couple of years so these hand picked coaching professionals can get up to speed?Painter was a dreadful draft pick, but we all know the Polians have been faltering badly for a while. Hopefully this year's draft class means we have turned the corner. If the FO mess up in April, that will surely end the reign of the Polian Cartel. You'd think.

Joker is correct. These last two teams are beat up. Even if they beat Jags next week, it wont mean the Colts are ready to resume bombing. There is a lot to do. Get healthy, pickup more talent and get some better teachers.

I think some folks don't practice long term thinking or out of the box as you will because they are scared that they will be labled a bad fan. First of all, Colts lost thier first 10 games rather miserably. playoffs were out of the question. No, you don't tank on purpose but, you start working on next year to get better, and that would include the draft situation. Did the Colts not "tank" against the Jets and dump a perfect season? And at the same time set the playoff seeding so they would meet the Jets instead of the steelers or San Diego, and we all know where that got us. If the Colts were serious about winning early on, they would have shaken things up considerably. I don't think you tank, you just don't fix your problems right away.

everyone knows exactly what you get from Addai, good or bad. You would think the Colts would have run the crap out of him and Delome to see what they truely have. not only running but recieving, blitz pickup. Instead, lets wait until the preseason( which keeps getting shorter) to see what they can do. Now the draft comes, should we pick a running back? Man, think ahead! For a top notch organization, they surely bury thier heads in the sand.

When he does step out to make a move, its usually wrong, so he just stands there looking the way he does. Quiet strength or clueless, who knows? You know, if they gave me the coaching job, I would take it too. If someone offers you a ride in a F-16 you don't decline because your not a pilot. You go and toss up you lunch. He may have been a good positional coach, however, not a head coach in the NFL.
The question is, will the Polians hire a coach that is or has been successful and wants control in building the team his way with support from the front office?

You loose 13 games with basically the same personnell then you dig out 2 wins at the end of season. coaching is the same from day one. What changed? The last two opponents are crippled in the qb position. Orlovski is gaining confidense. The defensive scheme has changed somewhat. Bottom line is the players are tired of being chumps, and started performing in spite of thier coaching staff. Have you noticed Peyton talking with everyone exept the head coach? Caldwell has had as much to do with Peytons success as a QB than he has with this team.

Pat Angerer, what a game. He does this every game. Brown, I wish this is not a once in a lifetime performance. Pat Angerer aside, sarcasm is my intention.

Angerer will be an allpro very soon. I don't bash Polian for bad drafting. I bash him for poor coach decisions, mainly who is coaching now and who has left to coach elsewhere. I find it hard to believe that you have to retire and lie for the reasons that they leave.

The Panthers tanked thier season last year to get Luck but ended up with Cam newton when luck stayed in school. They did nothing to help themselves from start to finish. Oswald was the lone gunnman with no help whatsoever? Players cheat, teams cheat, the establishments cheat. Thats the way it is.

Its like the best or smartest monkey in the room that someone else mentioned, Colts need an upgrade at RB. Addai is broken down for good. Delone Carter has shown talent right out the gate. Brown has taken 3 years to have 3 or 4 decent games.Running backs, especially 1st rounders hit the ground running. It would be nice if brown suddenly became Marshall faulk and all the planets lined up. However the reality is, when Caldwells time is up, and the Colts hire a profesional coaching staff, Addai and Brown will be cut loose and a search will begin for better talent at many positions on this team. When brown first came, I was exited because the talent level at RB has sucked since Edge left. Addai was a cheap stop gap that has deteriorated to this point. He has had his day, and now, so has Donald. I still have some hope for Delone, mostly because of what the other backs bring to the table.No reason not to keep all 3... One area we do not have to draft... -
Billick would be good I think. he would end up telling the polians to pack sand.Btw, I'd give a kidney for Brian Billick to be our new HC.

Which one is it guys and gals? Is Peyton this super god like player that when taken away from any team, that organization promptly falls apart? Or is it coaching is weak or non existant? Is it possible that without Peyton, Colts would never have made the playoffs since Harbaughs era?

You know, I will play as good as I can and try real hard. I will show up at all community events. I'm civic minded and fairly intelligent. Consistancy would be my mantra. As far as phisical attributes, 6feet 1. speed has dropped off since I turned 50. 230lbs. I'm a clean cut Colt type player. I figure I have the size to play any position exept offensive lineman for the Colts. I am too small to play free safety for anybody else. Everywhere else that I have tried keeps giving me Polians #. They say " Contact the Colt's front office, You are exactly what they are looking for, as long as you don't want much money".

I hope the front office realizes this is a big man sport. Fast and small is done. All our players are getting hurt every week for the past 2 years just making tackles.

Garrett calling time out accidentaly ices his own kicker last week. After being a Colt fan we all got very used to great clock management. Garrett is not getting much of a pass on this, Caldwell's gaffs were almost as bad but were attributed to his experience. It is shocking at this level that these kinds of problems are not prevented at 101 clock management.

this Colt funk is effecting the Patriots olso. The score should be 50-0. You can see it on Brady's face. He just wants to go home and get past this. The garcon TD's were giveme's. The second to last catch was out of bounds. NFL officials did not bother to look. Did you all see the last onside kick? True to form. Donald brown watched the defender catch the ball 10 yards deep with no resistance. Does he know that you can attack and have every right to possession of the ball like its a fumble? This is our coaching in action? Rich Gannon on the ensuing kickoff" last time he kicked the onside to the left, he can't do that again"? " well thats just what he did, 0-3 , unbelievable".

Just before halftime, I have observed our head coach and Offensive coordinator exchanging smiles with each other while at the same time Manning is trying to soften the embarressment with a couple of defensive players. There is no respect left for this less than sorry coaching staff. Only thing left on this team is proffesional curtesy. ( one does not call another out on tv) This will soon end!
Caldwell, coaching experience, wake forest. What does he know about NFL head coaching?

New defensive coordinator Murphy, Hasn't called a defensive play in 27 years. I think the janitor at L.O.S. would qualify at this point. Yes I know Jimmy Irsay, You have never held a job either.....

Jack Del rio for defensive coordinator. Let him pick players with attitude. Fisher could be a sparkplug for this team as headcoach. Father and son duo of Polian inc. need to find another team to mess with. Find some up and commer in the pittsburg or greenbay organization to be a GM. Keep Manning and draft Landry Jones. He is tough and could be the next Bert Jones.

Buffalo34. I have missed playing you guys twice a year like the old days. Lots of great games. You guys need to find out what went wrong down the stretch. I know you will turn it around. Most of the Colt nation wants to see a better defense, better special teams and healthier players. Good luck next year!
