I always find it funny [ironic not humorous] that Colt fans always bring up Allen's health like it's somehow on the same level of Bob Sanders after 2006 or something. Yeah, I get it. A safety & a TE are 2 different positions, but come on. Let's see Dwayne flourish without Fleener around anymore & I personally think Luck relied on Coby too darn much. This move will be good for both Andrew & #83 IMO.

I wanna see want Allen does as the go to guy & how he meets that challenge personally. Let the man start fresh. Last season is ancient history to me. Show me you're the man in August Dwayne. That's all I give a crap about.

Dwane allen is done. he will take the bonus for signing an go buy a bar-b-que joint. The degeneration in his hip will cause him to loose the place because of the inability to show up every day. Fleener will have his jersey retired in N.O.

But he's never been more proud of a group of guys....

I criticize Pagano a lot, but there's no doubt about his character.  I have questions about his abilities as a head coach, but he's a great guy.  I think he was the perfect coach for the rebuilding process we undertook in 2012.  Unfortunately, he hasn't been able to take the next step, but he definitely laid down the foundation for what hopes to be a lot of future success with these guys.

No. Its the Grigson show that is messed up. Just like Harbaughs's GM. Harbaugh is gone, 49ers now suck and will for the next 10 years. The same is about to go down with the Colts. For years Colts fans wanted a coach with a pulse. Getting a bunch of millionaires to play as a team is a tall feat. If Pagano leaves and grigson is allowed to stay, it will be hard to sell season tickets 5 years from now.

  3. This whole thing about this situation is not how good grigson did his job. Its about grigson overstepping his boundries and rendering the head coach meaningless. This is not right. If Mr. Irsay believes this is the right way, then finding a head coach with Grigson in control will only produce another lame duck waste of money. I would not blame Pagano for just walking out the building after the national anthem Sunday. But he won't. He loves his players too much. He will not give up on them, just as they have not gave up on him. If grigson stays and Pagano leaves, say goodby to the good organization we thought we had.

  4. I thought it was an intriguing thought. The Luck and Manning family go way back. I do not think Manning holds anything against the Colts or any body else. He is a competitive power house. I don't think TV broadcasting would satisfy that drive. If it is not offered to him, he will probably end up with the titans  or New Orleans and become quite successful at what ever the capacity.

  5. Grigson was a player and talent scout. His first time out hasn't gone well. Let him go elsewhere. Manning has run his term in Denver. He needs to be the colts OC and GM. Let Pagano do what he does best, motivate and teach. Give the offense to Manning for Luck to move forward. It would take the bad vibe out of the locker room and this team could move forward.

  6. King Colt, I feel your pain. I have been a fan since 1965. I went to their first two superbowls 3 and 5. Never missed a game until this year. I think, rather I know I have changed. Football is no longer the end all be all. I used to have a great week at work after a win, or a bad couple of days after a loss. In the movie North Dallas Forty, The coach said to Nick Nolty " You must know when to give up childish things". I think this is what is happening. With the players attitudes, sports betting, bad or suspect ref calls, and the game heading for pay per view per game, 39.95 a week comming soon, its hard to get excited. Does championship wrestling come to mind? Any way, don't let a bunch of 15 year season ticket holders call you a bandwagoner. Your just tired.

  7. Mathis has done a hell of a job after his injury. Will not be 100 percent until next year. We will probably not resighn him after this year. cardinals will pick him up and get 3 more years out of him. Grigson will find some more eagles cast offs for the o- line, and will take over play calling week one. Andrew Luck will not play for Indy due to the lack of contract and inability to protect him or even try. Gore is still a force in this league however, the colts organization will let him find another home, probably the Patriots and finally win a championship. Finally, the only emotional leader on this team, pagano, will be gone and we will all be left with Grigson to hang around like Matt Millan for Detroit for 5 or six years.

  8. God bless the die hard fan. Any QB behind this o- line is dead meat. The first time they played the texans, JJ watt was the only guy they had on the D-line. They are healthy now. The better of their QB's is back to starting olso. Loosing to the Texans by 40 points in your own stadium would be as bad as the last two games. The Colts will abandon the run after they get behind by 3 points, and then try to go deep 45 times and leave the defense on the field for 40 min. out of a possible 60. on and on and on.

  9. Superman is right. our present GM and company have a definite lack of spotting talent. Hey, they have picked some good individuals, but at this level, they are all good. Trying to make a football player out of a rugby star is ridiculous. Where is Geathers? Is he hurt? Or, does he not fit in our scheme, if not, why draft him? I would not be surprised if the offseason fix for the o-line is getting Linkinback back from the Dolphins bench.

  10. They need to put Luck on injured reserve for the year. He has taken a beating along with Hasselback and soon to be beat up Whitehurst. We will be lucky to see Luck sign a new contract with this offensive line situation. The defense could be better if they were not playing from behind with no chance at coming back.

Let Whitehurst hand the ball off 35 times, throw short every once in a while. If you win great, if not so what. This team is not going to shock the world and win a play off game. Get ready for next year.

  11. Adongo could whip the average man in a fight. rugby maybe a tough sport.  But it aint football. He will never have the attitude to play the game. He should have never happened. It seems to be the same problem with about a third of the roster.

I don't understand why people are griping so much. The problems the Colts have today are obviously the same problems the Colts have had for a couple of years now. I assume that the Colts front office like things the way they are because nothing has been done about it. Get used to it for the foreseeable future.

In the AFC South, we are now the weakest link.

CoachLite, you are spot on. the colts have been bad at running the ball since the Edge left. Today's Colts remind me of the 80's variety. Cant pass block, can't run block. I think they have given up mentally. Teams have hung 90 points on them in the last two games. Colts can not win a game against a starting QB in the NFL.

  13. In all the losses to this team, and they are piling up, there has been a common mistake that the Colts fall into every time. Throw, throw and throw again. The Patriots have to work to beat any of its division teams. Not only the familiarity of their opponents but they all run the ball right down their throat. Everytime the Colts play the Patriots, They know the Colts will abandon the run and resort to throwing the ball 80-90 % of the time. This is when the Patriots rush 2 and drop 8 into coverage with 1 to spy on Luck. The only difference being Manning never ran, allowing them to drop 9 into coverage. The Patriots are notorious for holding the recievers at the line of scrimmage and beyond. Colts put 5 players out into patterns to be covered by 8 defenders. No threat of a run, no back to check down to. Your dead. defense gets tired, you have less possesion and the Patriots march up and down the field like they do. I remember Edgerin James saying he never had a chance to get going in any of those Patriot games.

The reason for the title of this topic is I sat right behind the Patriot bench Sunday nite. I heard the coaching staff say " these guys will never learn how to play our defense", the answer was," Lets hope they never do!"

  14. Its just a game. When I last played in the 70's, My team was loosing 35-0 with 5 min left in the game. They put their best running back back into the game after removing him because of the lead they had. Well we were getting taunted and a lot of trash talk was going on. He was handed the ball on a end sweep. Our safety was struggling to bring him down, I could have eased him out of bounds. After all the talking I did not. I hit him full speed from the front. He never played again. You have to man up, show some pride in what you do.

  15. I dont believe the colts have had the same line up in two consecutive games since before Mannings departure. I would not know what to do. The whole team walked into Dallas, I'm surprised they did not miss the plane, They were not up for this game at all. It is a difficult thing to keep a bunch of guys hungry when this game ment nothing. They got murdered by penalties and olso the ones that were not called. I expect the same next week.
